Chapter 201: Chapter 201: Using the Special Dungeon Card: Junkheap Ruins Dungeon
Seraphina Sullivan took out the Fiery Sunflower Seedling.
A warm, gentle heat immediately began to radiate from it, quickly dispelling the chill inside the RV and warming the entire space.
With this, she wouldn’t have to worry about freezing in the RV, no matter how low the outside temperature dropped.
She arranged all the essential survival supplies and items for comfort properly inside the RV.
Seraphina Sullivan gazed at the small, tidy, warm, and comfortable space she had created and nodded in satisfaction.
’Now I can finally rest easy in here.’
Of course, this was just a front.
It was a convenient cover for entering her Scavenger’s Farm.
With everything in order, Seraphina Sullivan had a simple meal to replenish her energy.
She thought about the recovery recipes in her Food Atlas that used Growth Potatoes.
’I wonder where I can get my hands on that Energy Baryte...’
Seraphina Sullivan knew full well that in this perilous post-apocalyptic world, a plentiful supply of resources was the key to survival.
She wanted the kind of security that came with being able to pull out anything she needed at a moment’s notice.
And that meant she had to hoard, hoard, and then hoard some more!
However, a new and rather fortunate problem had also arisen.
Her Scavenger’s Farm’s Space was almost full!
Back in the Dark Apocalypse Dungeon, she had collected a massive number of night-monster corpses.
While these corpses were food for Flora and Moe, they were also potential "ingredients" and research materials.
But there were so many of them that they’d filled nearly all the empty ground in the farm, aside from the planting and husbandry zones.
If she came across more valuable and precious resources, she likely wouldn’t have enough Space to store them.
For a chronic hoarder like her, this was simply unbearable!
Seraphina Sullivan frowned, pondering a solution.
’If only I could get another Skill Upgrade Card...’
She recalled the Skill Upgrade Card she had gotten from a Treasure Chest.
After she used the Skill Upgrade Card, her Scavenging Backpack’s Space had expanded significantly.
When the backpack later evolved into the Scavenger’s Farm, the Space underwent a massive transformation.
If she could use another upgrade card on the farm, its area would surely expand, solving her current predicament.
But Seraphina sighed. ’Alas, items that can directly upgrade Skills or Space are just too rare. Who knows when I’ll get another one...’
Just as she was fretting over her lack of Space, her gaze fell upon the Lv1 Special Dungeon Card she had just taken out.
The card shimmered with a mysterious light between her fingers.
’This kind of special dungeon exists outside the regular survival cycles. The opportunities and risks inside are often different from normal dungeons... I wonder if it’s possible to find a Skill Upgrade Card in there? Or maybe another way to expand my Space?’
Once the thought took root, she could no longer suppress it.
On a whim, Seraphina Sullivan pulled two more of her prized cards from her Space.
The Punishment Removal Card and the Exploration Card.
’If I’m in the Level 1 special dungeon and accidentally let another Player discover my real Name, the system will identify me as an invading Advanced Player. The Punishment Removal Card can directly nullify the most severe punishment—system annihilation—and save my life.’
’And the Exploration Card will help me search the dungeon world more efficiently for potential treasures or clues to special quests, increasing my chances of finding a Skill Upgrade Card or other valuable items!’
After considering all the potential consequences and her contingency plans, Seraphina Sullivan decided the risk was worth taking.
For more hoarding space, for a more comfortable life in the post-apocalyptic future, she decided to use this Lv1 Special Dungeon Card!
Having steeled herself, Seraphina Sullivan took a deep breath and looked at Sean Chandler, her gaze calm yet unyielding.
The light inside the RV cast a faint glimmer in her eyes.
"This Item Card can only be used by one person."
She repeated the key restriction, her voice clear and steady. "You’re in a safe zone, and right now, this is the most secure stronghold we have."
She paused, then continued, "What if, unlike the usual Doomsday Game entries, time in the real world *doesn’t* pause when I use this Dungeon Card? If that happens, you’ll be the first line of defense out here. You have to stop any trouble that might try to take advantage of the situation—whether it’s people or... something else."
The meaning behind Seraphina’s words ran deep.
This "trouble" could be the people who had knocked on the RV earlier.
Or it could be the officials from the Vorlag City safe zone.
Sean Chandler would be able to handle such problems from the outside.
Sean Chandler nodded firmly. "Understood! Go on in and don’t worry. Leave everything out here to me."
Seraphina said nothing more. All the preparations had been made.
She used the Lv1 Special Dungeon Card.
[Ding! Player has used an Lv1 Special Dungeon Card.]
The cold voice of the system prompt suddenly rang out.
[The Player will be randomly teleported to a special Level 1 Doomsday Game world!]
[Warning: Player Level detected as Level 2. Entering a lower-level world has restrictions. The Player must strictly abide by the rules: Do not expose your identity as a Level 2 Player, or you will be immediately annihilated by the system.]
’Annihilated.’
The word carried a bloody chill, sending a shiver through Seraphina’s heart.
’So the cross-level restrictions are real, and the punishment is this severe.’
This meant she had to constantly remind herself to be careful not to reveal her Level.
[Commencing teleportation!]
A powerful, irresistible tearing force instantly enveloped her entire body.
The next moment, Seraphina Sullivan vanished.
The feeling of weightlessness lasted for only an instant.
[Ding! Congratulations, Player, you have entered the Special Doomsday Dungeon: Junkheap Ruins!]
The system’s notification was still echoing in her mind as Seraphina’s feet touched "solid ground."
However, her sense of smell returned faster than her sight.
An indescribable, overwhelming stench—a mix of rotting organic matter and some kind of fungus—slammed into her nostrils like a sledgehammer, shooting straight to the top of her skull.
The smell was so potent she could almost taste its bitterness and foulness, causing a violent spasm in her throat.
"GACK—!"
Seraphina let out an uncontrollable dry heave as her stomach instantly churned.
She immediately held her breath.
Acting on pure instinct, she quickly pulled the Anti-Poison Mask from her Space and, with movements that were slightly frantic but precise, fastened it over her face.
Only after the filtration system kicked in, providing relatively clean air, did Seraphina Sullivan finally have the chance to survey her surroundings.
She found herself on an extremely narrow and dilapidated street.
The ground beneath her feet was sticky and slick, and the sensation of walking on it was deeply unpleasant.
Through the visor of her mask, Seraphina Sullivan could see mountains of trash, so deformed it was unrecognizable, stretching as far as the eye could see.
’So this is the special Doomsday Dungeon, the Junkheap Ruins?’
Seraphina had a bad feeling about this.
