Le Lei placed a small communication jade in front of him. The crystal ball flickered for a moment before a faint image appeared within it.

The connection was established.

A deep voice came from the other side.

"What happened?"

Le Lei swallowed hard. His fingers tightened around the jade ball.

"Y-Young Master... the Tier 9 fragment cultivation method... it has been sold."

Silence.

For several breaths, there was not a single word from the other side.

Then—

"What did you say?"

The voice erupted with fury. Even through the communication jade, the pressure behind those words was unmistakable.

"Do you have any idea what that technique means?! How could you possibly allow something like that to be sold?!"

Le Lei’s face turned pale with fright.

A Tier 9 cultivation method was already an extraordinary treasure. Even a fragment of one was something countless cultivators would fight to obtain.

After all, a fragment still contained a path toward the highest realm their world could reach.

For cultivators, such a technique was not merely a manual. It was a possibility, the possibility of standing at the very peak of their world.

Le Lei gathered his courage and hurriedly added, "B-But it was the Young Lady’s order!"

The moment those words left his mouth, rage vanished immediately.

Just like that.

Then the voice on the other side became calm, almost too gentle.

"Oh? If she was the one who ordered it, then there is nothing to worry about."

There wasn’t even a trace of blame left in his voice.

It looked like the fury from moments ago had clearly been nothing more than a show.

"Hehe, that girl... if she wanted to sell it, then let her be. It’s fine. It’s only a cultivation technique, after all. If she likes something else, she can have it. If she wants to sell something, then let her sell it. If she wants something from the treasury, just give it to her. There’s no need to ask me about such small matters. As long as she’s happy, that’s all that matters. Let her do whatever she wants. If anyone has a problem with it, they can come and talk to me themselves."

The communication jade dimmed indicating The call was over.

The three days passed in comfortable idleness. Yu Liang woke each morning without urgency, practiced his sword forms in the privacy of his room, and spent the afternoons exploring Jade City’s quieter districts. He visited tea houses where cultivators discussed rumors and traded information, browsed smaller shops that catered to traveling merchants, and ate at restaurants he had only glimpsed during his first visit.

He was getting used this side of life as the freedom felt almost disorienting after years of sect life.

On the evening of the second day, he returned to the Moonlight Inn and found Xiao Wen waiting in the main hall.

"Young master," the boy said, bowing quickly. "A message arrived from the Mystic Pavilion. They confirmed tomorrow’s arrangements and request your arrival at dawn."

Yu Liang accepted the sealed note and nodded. "Thank you."

That night he laid out his plans. The techniques he needed, the pills that would accelerate his cultivation, the materials required for the remaining six cycles of the Iron Marrow Refinement Method. The list was extensive but organized. He wouldn’t waste time browsing aimlessly.

As dawn broke, he got ready to wear the green robe and walked out on the empty roads. It was still early and the merchants were getting ready for work, while the cleaners were clearing the dirt from the previous day.

The Mystic Pavilion was shut tight, but once Yu Liang came into view, the door opened at once. Le Lie was waiting for him inside, accompanied by Mei Hua and three other senior attendants

"Young master," Le Lie said, bowing deeply. "Welcome to the Mystic Pavilion. It is entirely yours today. Please, take your time."

Yu Liang stepped inside. The main floor felt different without the usual crowd , larger, quieter and almost hollow so much that his footsteps echoed faintly against the polished wood.

"We’ve prepared refreshments in each section," Le Lie continued. "And our staff is available to answer any questions or retrieve items from storage."

"Thank you, Steward Le."

Yu Liang began on the first floor, moving through the displays with more attention.

He thought about Pills first as they say the more, the better. So, he once again started with Tier 3 Foundation Establishment pills of various grades, Tier 4 Core Formation supplements, Rare Tier 5 Nascent Soul elixirs that glowed faintly even through their sealed bottles.

"These Jade Marrow Pills," Yu Liang said, pointing to a display. "How many do you have in stock?"

Mei Hua checked her records. "Forty bottles, young master. Twenty pills per bottle."

"I’ll take all of them."

One attendant’s brush slipped, leaving an ink streak across his notation tablet. Another coughed quietly and turned away to compose herself.

It’s a rare cultivation pill refined from Jade Marrow and several precious spiritual herbs. Its main ingredient takes hundreds of years to mature, while the refining process requires extremely precise control of the flame and medicinal essence. Even experienced alchemists have a struggle for success, making every successfully refined pill exceptionally valuable and rarely seen on the market.

Le Lie maintained his professional demeanor, but a faint tremor had entered his voice.

"Of course. The total for those comes to eighty million low grade spiritual stones."

Yu Liang transferred the payment without hesitation.

[ Ding! Host has spent 80,000,000 low grade spiritual stones ]

[ Multiplier Triggered: 95x ]

[ Host receives 7,600,000,000 low grade spiritual stones ]

He moved to the next section. Healing pills, detoxification pills, breakthrough-assistance pills. Each category was cleared. The attendants scrambled to keep accurate tallies as the numbers climbed higher and higher.

The second floor brought weapons and artifacts. Yu Liang examined several more Tier 4 and 5 weapons, a spear that buzzed with wind essence, a pair of daggers that seemed to merge in shadows, a bow strung with spirit beast bone arrow.

"The full set of Azure Moon armor," he said, gesturing to a display case. "What grade?"

"Tier 5 Mid Grade," an attendant answered. "Complete protection formation included. One hundred twenty million mid grade stones."

"I’ll take it."

Le Lie’s hands had begun shaking again. He clasped them behind his back, trying to maintain composure as another massive transaction was recorded.

The third floor held techniques and formation manuals. Yu Liang selected six more Tier 4 to Tier 6 rank techniques, two additional Tier 7 manuals, both incomplete but still valuable and a complete set of defensive formation diagrams that could protect a small residence.

"The Dragon Essence Body Tempering Method," Yu Liang said, stopping before a locked case. "Tier 7 High grade. What’s the price?"

Mei Hua’s tone was calm, yet her eyes held something different, maybe even calculation or realization or maybe something else entirely.

"Three hundred million mid grade stones, young master."

"Add it to the total."

By midday the attendants had stopped whispering among themselves. They simply worked in stunned silence, recording each purchase with mechanical movement. Several times Le Lie had to excuse himself briefly, returning each time with a slightly dazed expression.

The materials section came last. Rare ores, spiritual herbs preserved in jade boxes, beast cores ranging from low level Foundation Establishment to peak Core Formation. Yu Liang purchased systematically, building reserves for both the Iron Marrow Refinement Method and future techniques he hadn’t even begun learning yet.

When the sun reached its peak, Le Lie approached with a thick ledger and a trembling hand.

"Young master," he said quietly. "The current total stands at nine hundred million mid grade spiritual stones."

The number hung in the air. One of the younger attendants swayed visibly and had to steady himself against a pillar.

Even though they knew he was going to spend an absurd amount of money, none of them had imagined this. In the end, he didn’t just buy a few valuable items, he practically emptied the entire pavilion, leaving behind only the things he had no interest in. For the staff, watching the shelves gradually become empty was far more shocking than seeing any single large purchase.

Yu Liang nodded. "Hmm, that’s acceptable. Complete the transaction."

He transferred the full amount. A familiar chime sounded immediately.

[ Ding! Host has spent 900,000,000,000 low grade spiritual stones ]

[ Multiplier Triggered: 230x ]

[ Host receives 207,000,000,000,000 low grade spiritual stones ]

Two hundred seven trillion. Once again the system’s generosity continued to defy comprehension.

Le Lie bowed so deeply his forehead nearly touched the counter.

"Young master, this transaction represents the largest single day sale in the Mystic Pavilion’s history. We are... honored beyond words."

"The service was excellent," Yu Liang said simply. "My compliments to your staff."

He began organizing his purchases and began storing everything . The attendants watched, their expressions ranging from awe to barely concealed disbelief. How was it possible that one individual had all those resources without any storage tools was left unsaid.

Mei Hua had been watching all day long. Unlike the rest, her shock had turned into something else, something analytical and acute. She studied the way Yu Liang bought evrything that intrested him, the way he picked up things without checking price, the way he paid and never bothered to check on his savings or even haggled.

As Yu Liang prepared to leave, she stepped forward.

"Young master," she said. "If you have a moment, I would like to speak with you privately."

Le Lie’s eyebrows rose slightly, but he said nothing. The other attendants exchanged glances.

Yu Liang studied her for a moment. Mei Hua’s expression remained professionally composed, but her eyes carried determination.

"Very well," he said. "Lead the way."
