Chapter 134: Nine Heavens Spirit Mist Palace

The array above the desk shot out a three

dimensional light that projected four distinct miniature landscapes floating in the air.

Each represented a Top Tier cave abode located on the Central Peak, complete with detailed information of spiritual energy density, array defenses, and natural environments.

Elder Mu pointed his white jade ruyi scepter at the projections. "These four are the finest residential properties available to disciples on the Central Peak. Since you wish to upgrade from the standard Cloud Mist Villa, you may choose from these."

Yu Liang looked past the first three projections which were merely standard high grade courtyards with some having elevated spiritual gathering formations.

For an ordinary Core Disciple, these residences would already be considered excellent, and their prices were certainly not cheap. But to Yu Liang, none of them were particularly appealing.

If he was going to spend money, there was little point in choosing something merely because it was cheaper. After all, his current wealth had long since reached the point where ordinary high grade residences were no longer enough to interest either him or his wallet.

Finally his eyes fixed directly on the fourth and highest projection.

It was a vast compound built upon a floating sub peak attached to the cliffside by thick silver chains. The projection displayed a grand estate called the Nine Heavens Spirit Mist Palace.

"Elder, please explain the details of this fourth villa," Yu Liang requested, pointing at the floating mountain estate.

Elder Mu glanced at the fourth projection, a subtle trace of emotion finally passed through his eyes. "You have sharp vision, Disciple Yu Liang. The Nine Heavens Spirit Mist Palace is not just a cave abode, it is a Top Grade cultivation sanctuary constructed by three Grand Elders of our sect two hundred years ago. Its features far surpass any standard disciple residence."

Elder Mu began to list the specific attributes and formations embedded within the property. "First, the environmental conditions are exceptional. The villa was situated directly above a branch of the Central Peak’s Tier 6 High Rank Spiritual Vein. The natural spiritual energy density inside the core meditation chamber reached eight times the average level of the Central Peak. The air itself was constantly infused with liquidized spiritual mist, allowing a cultivator to absorb energy continuously even while sleeping."

He continued. "Second, the structural layout is massive. The estate spanned over fifty acres, containing a main residence built from Spirit Nourishing Wood, seven secondary pavilions, a dedicated pill room equipped with an Earth Fire junction, a weapon refining workshop, an indoor spirit beast garden, and a private medicinal field covering ten acres of High Tier Spirit Soil."

Every one of these facilities had a purpose behind it. The pill room could support an alchemist, the weapon workshop could be used for refining, and the medicinal field could produce valuable spirit herbs over time. For someone who actually made use of them, the estate was far more than just a luxurious residence.

It could practically function as a small base of its own.

But that was also the problem.

Leaving them unused would be no different from throwing away their value. Ten acres of High Tier Spirit Soil meant little if no one cultivated the medicinal field, and an Earth Fire junction was equally useless if the owner had no interest in alchemy.

The villa was valuable precisely because of what it could provide but only if its owner had the time and ability to use it properly.

He paused for a moment to let that informatiom sink in. "Third, the array formations are at the pinnacle of the sect’s non war defenses. It features the ’Nine Heavens Mist Hiding Array’ for absolute privacy, preventing spiritual sense probes from anyone below the Soul Formation stage. For defense, it contained the ’Thunder Flame Guardian Formation,’ which could automatically withstand full power attacks from a Peak Stage Core Formation Realm expert for three days without breaking. Additionally, it comes with an integrated Gravity Gathering Array that could be adjusted up to fifty times normal gravity for body tempering cultivation."

He took a deep breath. "Finally, the living conveniences were unmatched. The estate was linked to a automated sect delivery array, allowing the owner to order pills, talismans, and daily delicacies directly to the main hall without stepping outside. It also included ten slots for registered servant disciples or bodyguards to reside within the boundary without triggering the security arrays."

Yu Liang was speechless. ’Elder, at least give me some time to ask questions. Why are you going so fast?’

"This Nine Heavens Spirit Mist Palace has remained vacant for over forty years," Elder Mu explained. "It is famous throughout the entire Cloudwater Sect. Countless elite Inner Sect disciples and even Core Disciples from wealthy cultivation clans, and even newly appointed junior elders have visited this pavilion to inspect it. However, almost none of them could afford the maintenance and purchase cost."

Elder Mu paused slightly before continuing. "The initial purchase price for the usage rights of the Nine Heavens Spirit Mist Palace is 500,000 High Grade Spiritual Stones. On top of that, the daily array maintenance and spiritual vein connection fee requires 2,000 High Grade Spiritual Stones every single day. Due to this exorbitant cost, even the young masters of the top three merchant families in the state had to retreat in disappointment after calculating the long term expenses."

In the history of the sect, many talented disciples had looked at the Nine Heavens Spirit Mist Palace with desire, but the daily cost alone equaled the entire monthly income of a medium sized cultivation clan. Buying it was one thing, but sustaining the daily consumption was an impossible drain on resources.

Yu Liang listened to the long list of features and nodded inwardly. The spatial isolation, the high density spiritual energy, and the heavy security arrays were exactly what he may need or maybe not.

"I will take the Nine Heavens Spirit Mist Palace," Yu Liang said calmly.

Elder Mu did not show extreme shock, but he held his jade ruyi scepter a bit firmer. "The full purchase price for the usage rights is 500,000 High Grade Spiritual Stones, which equates to 500,000,000 Mid Grade Spiritual Stones at the sect’s standard exchange rate. Are you certain you wish to proceed with this purchase immediately?"

"Yes," Yu Liang replied.

He tapped his spatial ring once more. A high capacity spatial pouch materialized on the desk before Elder Mu. The pouch was drawn into the receiving formation embedded in the desk, absorbing the payment directly into the pavilion’s vault.

The familiar mechanical notification sounded instantly in Yu Liang’s mind.

[ Ding! Host spent 500,000,000 Mid Grade Spiritual Stones ]

[ Multiplier Triggered: 2300x ]

[ Host Receives 1,150,000,000,000 Mid Grade Spiritual Stones ]

Another Trillion Mid Grade Spiritual Stones entered his system storage space smoothly. Yu Liang’s mood was extremely pleasant as he calculated his growing balance.

Elder Mu picked up his administrative brush, inputting the transfer details into the sect’s central registration ledger. As he finalized the ownership contract, the elder finally spoke again, his voice carrying a polite, subtle curiosity.

"Disciple Yu Liang, spending hundreds of millions of Mid Grade Spiritual Stones without batting an eye is not something an ordinary Outer Sect disciple can accomplish. Old Qian’s message was brief, only mentioning your profound background. If this old man may ask a personal question... which ancient clan or hidden sacred land do you originate from?"

Elder Mu was probing for information to categorize Yu Liang’s faction within the sect’s records. To spend such vast amounts of capital so casually, Yu Liang’s backing had to be extraordinary.

Yu Liang maintained a smooth, neutral posture. He did not claim a fake high level background as that would be practically exposing him if sect ever did checked for that background while there maybe chance that not finding his background will make sect shut up thinking he has formidable background but what if they did the exactly opposite? But nor did he deny anything explicitly. He gave a lukewarm, vague answer that provided details without revealing anything concrete.

"Elder Mu overestimates me," Yu Liang said with a light smile. "I do not come from any ancient family or such thing. Recently, I simply found myself with some spare time and felt a bit bored, so I started a small commercial venture known has ’Heavens Table’ to pass the time. The income has been somewhat acceptable which allowed me to afford these minor expenses."

Hearing this response, Elder Mu’s internal thoughts churned rapidly behind his smiling expression. ’He claims he was merely bored and started a business called Heavens Table?’ Elder Mu analyzed the words carefully. ’A young cultivator who casually spends hundreds of millions of spiritual stones claims it is just spare capital from a newly started side business? This is clearly a standard line used by disciples of Top Tier hidden lineages who are not allowed to reveal their true family background during outside experiential training.’

In Elder Mu’s mind, everything made logical sense now. Yu Liang’s absolute indifference toward massive sums of money, combined with his vague explanation, was the textbook behavior of a young master from an ancient, hidden faction or a supreme cultivation clan testing their junior in the mortal world.

"I see," Elder Mu said, choosing not to press the matter any further to avoid offending the mysterious forces behind the youth. He stamped the finalized jade slip and handed over a purple gold control token representing the Nine Heavens Spirit Mist Palace. "Everything is set. This token grants you full control over the estate’s arrays."

Yu Liang received the purple gold token and cupped his hands. "Thank you, Elder Mu. This Disciple will take his leave."

He turned around and walked out of the Honorary Disciple Pavilion, heading directly toward the floating sub peak of the Central Peak to take possession of his new residence.
