Immortality Begins with Breathing Exercises
Chapter 1020 - 340: Ancestral Witch’s Blessing
"Ah~ so refreshing!!!"
A comfortable moan echoed within the grand hall.
Lin Zheyu’s eyelids trembled and he awoke, stretching lazily in satisfaction.
He hadn’t slept so comfortably in a long time.
This bout of mental exhaustion nearly reached its limit.
Under normal circumstances, in such a state, although one might fall into a death-like slumber, the process wouldn’t be enjoyable due to mental fatigue.
However, thanks to those three clusters of gray energy, Lin Zheyu felt a warm comfort throughout his body while sleeping.
It was as if he had returned to the womb, an unprecedented comfort.
"Am I back?"
"How long did I sleep this time?"
Lin Zheyu thought to himself as he looked at the familiar hall.
He twisted his body, wondering whether the stiffness he felt came from lying too long.
This feeling was somewhat incredible given his current physical strength.
Lin Zheyu curiously sensed his state in detail.
"My body has undergone slight changes, but they’re not obvious."
Lin Zheyu felt somewhat puzzled by the changes in his body.
If not for his powerful perception, he would probably have missed such subtle and profound changes.
Celestial Eye, activate!
With a slight mental motion, the golden Celestial Eye in his sea of consciousness abruptly opened.
The emotionless pupils meticulously scanned his body inside and out.
Lin Zheyu always felt something was off about his body, but couldn’t pinpoint the issue.
Though this feeling brought no harm and instead made him feel quite comfortable.
Nonetheless, this sensation of being beyond his control bothered him greatly.
Awhile passed.
"What’s going on?"
"The golden energy within seems to have changed!"
Lin Zheyu was somewhat surprised.
Golden energy arises from the flesh, tendons, membranes, and bones throughout his body; unlike Qi Blood, it’s a highly mysterious energy.
Even Lin Zheyu hasn’t been able to fully unravel the secrets of golden energy.
And now.
Lin Zheyu discovered as he observed with the golden Celestial Eye that the golden energy was nurturing and subtly transforming his body at an extremely slow pace.
This had never happened before.
Lin Zheyu’s powerful physical form is the source of golden energy, with his body serving as its vessel.
All along.
Golden energy has grown stronger, evolving alongside his physical form’s growth; the physical form strengthens first, followed by the golden energy.
Golden energy nurturing the body secretly and subtly should not be possible.
"Is it because of the influence from this Witch mark?"
"No, that’s impossible."
"Not to mention the Witch mark is incomplete, just a remnant."
"Even if the Witch mark were complete, it would directly affect the physical form, not act on the golden energy first and then nurture the physical form."
Lin Zheyu’s mind raced, reviewing all that happened since entering this legacy Secret Realm.
Yet, regardless of how he analyzed it, no cause for this change could be found through the golden Celestial Eye’s observation.
"Could it be that some unknown change occurred during my slumber?"
Lin Zheyu frowned slightly.
He slowly raised his head and gazed at the statue of the mighty Witch Race figure deep in the hall.
From the perspective of the golden Celestial Eye.
Lin Zheyu noticed that the statue seemed somewhat different from when he first arrived.
It appeared much more dynamic.
When Lin Zheyu looked at the statue, he couldn’t help but feel as if someone was watching him.
"There’s something fishy about this statue!"
"Is it manipulating things secretly?"
Lin Zheyu couldn’t help but speculate.
He hesitated for a moment, forming the urge to step forward and touch the statue.
However, as soon as this thought arose, Lin Zheyu sensed a Power of Space-Time enveloping him.
His vision blurred, and he vanished from the hall in an instant.
"Such strong Divine Sense; it can actually sense my existence!"
Qiong Yun remarked with a hint of surprise, looking towards the direction where Lin Zheyu disappeared.
Even if just a remnant soul, Qiong Yun’s soul essence far exceeded what Lin Zheyu could imagine.
Moreover, this large statue wasn’t truly a statue.
But was his body from ten thousand years ago, transformed!
"An interesting little fellow."
"What a pity he was born too late."
"If he appeared ten thousand years ago, even when heaven and earth underwent major changes and Witch cultivation was in decline,
given this little fellow’s talent, he might have reached the level I once did."
"A shame..."
"Such a great aptitude wasted."
Qiong Yu spoke regrettably.
Tens of millennia have passed, and the world has changed drastically compared to the past.
Compared to the past, Witch cultivation’s environment has become even harsher.
So harsh that the lineage is nearly severed.
Despite his recent assistance, in today’s environment, Qiong Yun holds little hope for this youngster.
Now, all he can do is his best, leaving destiny to chance, and leave the Human Race in this world a seed of the Witch Race for the future.
"This time’s calamity seems unimaginably vast; one misstep and this world might be entirely swallowed by the Demon Realm."
"Yet before complete annihilation, the world’s environment will undergo another dramatic shift."
"Blessings and disasters accompany one another, rising from death..."
"Perhaps this child may find an opportunity amidst the impending apocalypse and forge a path!"
Qiong Yun gazed into the distant void.
His gaze seemed as if it could pierce through this space, seeing the catastrophe brewing outside the Secret Realm.
