Chapter 110 | Weaving the Trap
Chapter 110: 110 | Weaving the Trap
The heavy spirit-wood doors clicked shut behind Madam Shen, leaving the grandhall wrapped in a tense, suffocating silence.
Only Lin Tian and Aunt Lin remained under the pale, rhythmic glow of the moon-pearls.
Aunt Lin stood rigid, her artisan robes plastered to her feverish skin, drenched in sweat and the heavy musk of a body burning from unquenched Qi stagnation.
Her breathing was shallow and ragged, her inner core throbbing with a weeping, hollow ache that demanded his scorching touch.
Lin Tian stepped forward, his dark eyes locking onto her flushed, worshipful
face.
"You’re hiding it poorly," he murmured, his deep voice slicing through the thick air.
Aunt Lin let out a shaky breath, her gaze dropping to his chest before she forced her eyes back to his. "I am... fine, Master."
Instead of answering with words, Lin Tian reached out and pressed his broad, calloused palm flat against the center of her chest, right over her aching heart meridian.
A concentrated surge of molten Liquid Yang Qi flooded her body, turning her veins to liquid fire.
"Ah—!" A sharp, breathless moan tore from Aunt Lin’s throat, her back arching violently as the scorching energy crashed through her starved pathways.
Her knees buckled beneath the sudden, intense wave of heat, but Lin Tian caught her by the waist, holding her firmly against him as the warmth spread through her body.
"Better?" he asked, his thumb brushing over the damp curve of her hip while the golden Qi settled deep into her dantian.
Aunt Lin shivered, her inner walls clenching in a wet, "lShe shuddered helplessly as the sensation slowly faded into a deep, dizzying pleasure."
"Mmh... so much better," she whimpered, her hands gripping his outer robe for support as she melted against him.
He did not pull away; his palm lingered against her, the unspoken promise hanging heavily
between them.
"The debt must be paid," Lin Tian whispered, his breath brushing her ear while his fingers traced slow, maddening circles against her ribs. "But the Shadow Web demands one final thread first."
Aunt Lin blinked through the dense fog of her arousal, her master-forger instincts fighting to surface beneath the heavy waves of lust. "The... the Shadow Web?"
"Elder Liu’s Pill Toxicity is flaring from unstable spiritual fire," Lin Tian explained, his grip tightening possessively on her waist. "She relies on the Earth-Fire formations of Alchemy Peak to refine her pills."
Aunt Lin gasped softly, biting her lower lip as his body heat sent fresh, delicious shivers down her spine. "You want me to... to alter the spiritual
flow?"
"Nothing obvious," Lin Tian murmured, his golden gaze holding hers with absolute dominance. "A slight fluctuation here, a small imbalance there, just enough to make her cauldrons fail."
She swallowed hard, her chest heaving as she fought to steady her voice against the rising tide of desire. "The outer formation pillars are heavily guarded, but as Master Forger, I have the access."
"I knew I could trust my best vanguard," Lin Tian praised, his touch burning through her damp robes.
A soft, wet whimper escaped her lips as she leaned fully into his embrace, completely surrendered to his command. "I will make sure the trap is laid without a single flaw... Master."
***
Midnight covered the Crimson Nimbus Sect in darkness. Aunt Lin moved quietly along the outer paths in a dark-grey outer robe.
A Tier 2 Concealment Talisman was fixed to her sleeve, hiding her Peak Qi Gathering aura. The closer she came to Alchemy Peak, the hotter the air became, carrying the smell of burnt herbs and Earth-Fire.
Near the outer boundary, thick green miasma covered the stone path. Aunt Lin stopped behind a stone pillar and studied the area ahead.
Two Inner Sect disciples in green robes guarded the passage. Both were at the Early Stage of Foundation Establishment, swords hanging at their waists.
Aunt Lin studied the defensive formation. As a Master Forger, she quickly recognized its pattern.
"A fixed cycle..." she murmured. "Then there should be a gap."
The formation swept across the path and withdrew, leaving a brief opening.
A sharp pain tightened across her chest. She pressed a hand against the pillar and waited for it to ease. The heat was aggravating her Qi Stagnation, but she kept watching the formation.
"Just a little longer."
The next gap appeared.
Aunt Lin moved immediately, crossing the open path and slipping behind a stone platform beside an Earth-Fire vent. The next sweep passed over the area, but the Concealment Talisman kept her aura hidden.
She waited until the patrol moved away before continuing deeper into the peak. Ahead were the Earth-Fire chambers and the formation nodes she had been sent to alter.
***
Hidden beside an Earth-Fire node, Aunt Lin found the primary outer formation node of the Earth-Fire array.
It was a large circular stone slab covered in crimson runes. Heat and Earth-Fire energy flowed through it continuously, pressing against her already strained meridians, but she ignored the discomfort and focused on the formation.
She studied the runes carefully, tracing the spiritual flow with her eyes. It did not take long for her to find the path that carried Earth-Fire toward Elder Liu’s private chambers.
Aunt Lin took out her jade-tipped carving knife and guided a thin strand of Qi through its edge. She kept the amount extremely small. Any stronger disturbance could alert the cultivators inside the peak.
She carefully altered a small section along the existing spiritual path, adding a concealed formation path without disturbing the main flow.
The Earth-Fire continued to move normally.
Aunt Lin watched the node for a few breaths. There was no change in the surrounding runes, and no defensive formation reacted to the alteration.
She had succeeded.
The hidden path would remain harmless under normal conditions. But when Elder Liu drew a large amount of Earth-Fire into her private chambers, the altered flow would become briefly unstable, enough to disrupt her pill refinement without revealing the cause.
Aunt Lin withdrew the carving knife and checked the formation one last time. Everything looked exactly as it had before.
She pulled her Concealment Talisman into place and quietly moved away from the formation node. Her task here was complete, but she still had to leave Alchemy Peak without being discovered.
She slipped back into the darkness, leaving the first hidden flaw inside the Alchemy Peak’s formation.
***
Silver moonlight filtered into the hall as Aunt Lin slid the heavy spirit-wood doors shut behind her.
Her dark-grey robes were smudged with soot and soaked in a feverish sweat, every breath rattling slightly against the deep, persistent ache of her Qi Stagnation.
She walked unsteadily to the table, placing the jade slip down before her legs finally threatened to give out beneath her.
"The outer formation pillar is altered," she murmured, her voice rough with exhaustion. "No one will notice the shift during routine inspections."
Lin Tian swept a strand of Divine Sense through the jade slip, carefully verifying the hidden flaws she had woven into the spiritual currents.
"Were there any complications at the outer perimeter?" he asked, his eyes lifting from the stone to meet hers.
"Only the night guards," Aunt Lin whispered, her breath hitching as she held his dark gaze. "I slipped past their patrol paths without leaving a single trace of my Qi."
"Good work," he said, setting the slip quietly aside.
Hearing his quiet approval, the tight knot of stress in her mind dissolved, leaving her entirely at the mercy of her own aching body. The severe Qi stagnation throbbing in her lower core flared hot and heavy, mixing with a wet, dripping arousal that made her knees instantly weaken.
She swayed forward, unable to maintain her balance under the sudden, overwhelming rush of physical fatigue and unquenched desire.
Lin Tian closed the space between them instantly, his strong hand catching her waist and pulling her firmly against his chest.
A soft, involuntary gasp escaped her lips as his body heat washed over her damp robes, sending a delicious, dizzying shiver straight down her spine.
"You’ve pushed yourself too far tonight," he noted quietly, his thumb brushing slowly over her hip.
She rested her forehead against his shoulder, letting out a ragged, breathless sigh as her body softened completely into his embrace.
"I had to finish it for you," she whispered, her fingers curling weakly into the fabric of his dark outer robe while her inner walls clenched in a helpless, hungry rhythm.
"You always exceed expectations, Aunt Lin," Lin Tian murmured, his thumb tracing the heated curve of her neck. "A vanguard who bleeds for the Shadow Web deserves more than just a passing nod."
A low, wet whimper slipped past her lips at his praise, her core aching desperately for the release only he could provide.
Lin Tian’s gaze softened, his hand sliding down to interlace his fingers with hers while his other arm held her securely against his frame.
"I haven’t forgotten what I promised," he said, his deep voice vibrating directly against her heated skin.
A quiet shiver ran through her as the anticipation completely overtook her fatigue.
"Come," Lin Tian murmured, turning her toward the heavy curtains of the inner chambers. "Let’s tend to your starving meridians."
