"Please hold out your hand, Miss."

Tong Zhihuan pressed two fingers against her pulse. After only a brief moment, he looked up and stared at the young woman before him in astonishment.

A few strands of spiritual energy flowed through her meridians, nourishing her body to grant her a robust constitution immune to illness. A faint trace of incense power also lingered around her, originating from the Dragon Lord Temple. But most importantly, the wisps of Magical Power within her felt overwhelmingly familiar to him.

He couldn't possibly be mistaken!

"Have you, by any chance, met a certain Mister?"

Ruyi looked at him, bewildered.

Tong Zhihuan clarified, "This Mister often wears a green scholar's robe. His surname is Chen, and his given name is Changsheng."

Ruyi blurted out in surprise, "Uncle Chen?"

Wang Sanniang was taken aback as well. "Doctor Tong, you know Brother Chen?"

A wave of joy washed over Tong Zhihuan. "Mister lived in Qiuyue Fang in his early years. He is my teacher in the medical arts."

Still puzzled, Wang Sanniang asked, "How did you know we were acquainted with Brother Chen?"

Tong Zhihuan lowered his voice to explain. "Mister is no mortal. He left a trace of Magical Power on this young lady to protect her. His Magical Power is uniquely pure and exceedingly easy to recognize."

"So that's how it is." Ruyi finally understood.

"Does this mean Mister Chen has taken you as his niece?"

"I... I suppose so."

Although they had never formally discussed such a thing, she had grown up calling him Uncle.

"What a coincidence. A true coincidence."

Tong Zhihuan said, "Speaking of which, it has been a long time since Mister returned to Qiuyue Fang. How has he been doing lately?"

Ruyi began chatting with him about it.

However, the conversation was cut short after only a few words.

After Ruyi and Wang Sanniang left, they discussed the matter.

"A bit later, let's bring some gifts and pay a formal visit," Wang Sanniang said. "Since Doctor Tong is Brother Chen's apprentice, that makes him the high disciple of an immortal. We absolutely must not slight him."

Upon returning, Ruyi asked Dong Chiyu if she wanted to come along.

"Should I go too?" Dong Chiyu asked.

Ruyi nodded. "Of course. You can have Doctor Tong take a look at you while we're there. Didn't you say your qi and blood circulation always felt blocked? Doctor Tong was taught by Uncle Chen, so he might have a solution."

"Wouldn't that be imposing?"

"What are you being so shy for?"

Dong Chiyu turned her head away, refusing to say another word to her.

Once the afternoon arrived, Ruyi led the group over to the Tong Family with two packages of gifts. Lihua naturally tagged along as well.

Truth be told, it was quite curious about what Chen the Good Man's apprentice was like.

It had gone out wandering the streets yesterday but failed to see him, so it was determined to meet him today.

Tong Zhihuan had originally planned to seek them out himself, but he unexpectedly ran into them the moment he returned home.

After some polite back-and-forth, the group finally entered the house.

Tao'er, who was busy cooking inside the house, heard the commotion.

She walked out of the Kitchen and asked, "Who has arrived?"

Ruyi looked up, staring blankly for a moment.

Dong Chiyu had the exact same reaction. She had seen many beautiful women, but rarely one with such an otherworldly appearance. Yet her hands were still wet from mundane household chores, giving her a very distinct aura.

Only Lihua flicked its tail and bluntly declared, "A demon!"

The moment the words fell, both Ruyi and Dong Chiyu were stunned.

Ruyi hastily blocked Lihua and lightly patted it. "Don't say that."

Tao'er naturally heard it clearly, but she merely turned to look at Tong Zhihuan.

Tong Zhihuan explained, "Tao'er, this is Mister Chen's niece."

Tao'er fell into a momentary daze upon hearing this.

"Mister Chen's niece?"

She gave a warm smile and quickly added, "Come in and have a seat."

Tong Nianyi, who had been reading in her room, also heard the noise. She poked her head out the door, curiously eyeing the visitors.

There were two pretty older sisters and an old grandma.

And a cat!!

Tong Nianyi's eyes lit up the moment she saw Lihua.

"Big Cat!"

Tong Nianyi called out, looking absolutely delighted.

Lihua's gaze shifted toward her.

Tong Nianyi was rather bold. She came out of the room and walked right up to them.

"Can I pet it?" Tong Nianyi asked.

Ruyi replied, "You can pet anywhere except the head."

Lihua glared at Ruyi in protest.

But Tong Nianyi had already reached out her hands.

"Big Cat! You're so soft~"

Tong Nianyi's gentle voice rang out. Her childish, sweet demeanor made everyone adore her at a glance.

Lihua did not resist, allowing her to pet it.

"Nianyi, you must be polite," Tong Zhihuan gently scolded. "This is no ordinary cat."

Tong Nianyi blinked and looked at Lihua again.

After thinking for a moment, she asked, "Big Cat, Big Cat, will you be angry if I pet you?"

Lihua looked at the little girl. Seeing her earnest eyes, it found itself too embarrassed to refuse.

"Lihua is not angry," Lihua answered.

Tong Nianyi paused for a second, but instead of being afraid, she exclaimed in pleasant surprise, "A Big Cat that can talk!!"

"Daddy, Daddy, the Big Cat can talk! It can talk!"

Tong Zhihuan smiled but didn't say anything more.

Tao'er stepped forward and stroked Tong Nianyi's hair. "Alright, alright. Let the guests come inside and sit down first. You can play with the Big Cat later, okay?"

Tong Nianyi felt a bit reluctant upon hearing this. She wanted to pet it a little more, but since her mother had already spoken, she agreed, "Okay~"

She then looked up at the people in front of her. "Two pretty aunties and grandma, please come in and sit. Big Cat should sit too."

Wang Sanniang chuckled, unable to help but praise her. "What a well-behaved little girl."

She then turned to Ruyi. "Speaking of which, Ruyi, you were just as well-behaved when you were little."
