Immortal Ascension Through Marriage: Investing in My Wife Get Returns
Chapter 326 - 325: Going Against Xie Luo of The Four Spatial Calamities, Testing Might of Dao Fruit! (6)
Xie Luo’s compound eyes widened.
He understood that something had gone wrong, but he could not immediately identify the cause.
His two origins had never failed him in this manner.
Even when he suffered injuries, his control over spatial energy allowed him to redirect the pressure and protect his foundation. His venomous origin had also remained stable throughout countless battles.
Yet Lin Yuan had struck a point where the two systems depended upon one another.
The damage had not merely weakened his body.
It had disrupted the relationship between his two greatest abilities.
Xie Luo attempted to retreat.
Lin Yuan moved first.
His right hand formed a seal, and the rain above the clearing began to descend more rapidly.
Golden-purple thunder gathered within the clouds.
The entire region brightened.
Xie Luo felt a terrible pressure descend upon his body.
He raised his pincers in an attempt to defend himself.
Lin Yuan’s voice rang through the clearing.
"Thunder judges."
The clouds flashed.
"Rain nourishes."
Silver-blue droplets gathered around the golden-purple lightning.
"And Three Rebirths determines what follows the end."
The Dao Fruit rotated.
For a brief moment, the three principles formed a complete circulation around Lin Yuan’s body.
The surrounding spiritual Qi responded.
Every droplet of rain became a point through which the principles could interact, while every strand of thunder carried a trace of the destructive power that Lin Yuan had refined through his comprehension.
The rain did not merely fall.
It connected the battlefield.
The thunder did not merely strike.
It followed the structure revealed by the rain.
And Three Rebirths did not merely represent a cycle.
It allowed Lin Yuan to perceive the sequence through which the destructive force passed from one state to another.
He raised his palm.
A golden-purple thunderbolt descended from the clouds and converged upon his hand.
Silver-blue rain wrapped around it.
At the center, a faint crimson, black, and white light appeared.
The three principles merged into a single strike.
Lin Yuan stepped forward.
"Thunder Rain Dao, Three Rebirths!"
His palm descended.
Xie Luo roared and raised both pincers.
The impact shook the entire mountain range.
Boom!
A vast wave of energy erupted from the point of collision, flattening the grass and shattering the stones across the clearing. The surrounding trees bent away from the blast, while the ancient laws trembled beneath the pressure.
For a moment, the entire battlefield disappeared behind a curtain of golden-purple light.
Then the light faded.
Xie Luo was lying in a deep crater.
His enormous body had been forced into the ground, and the chitin covering his chest had shattered. Dark green blood flowed from the cracks, mixing with the rainwater and staining the earth.
His six legs trembled.
The stinger at the end of his tail had been bent out of shape, and the spatial energy that once surrounded his body had become unstable.
He attempted to rise.
His front legs moved.
But the moment he tried to gather his demonic energy, the damaged circulation within his body produced another violent backlash.
Xie Luo coughed up blood.
His compound eyes turned toward Lin Yuan.
The cultivator stood at the edge of the crater, his robes fluttering gently in the breeze.
He had not suffered any serious injuries.
The rain continued to fall around him, and the golden-purple light in his eyes remained steady.
Xie Luo’s heart sank.
He had lost.
Not because Lin Yuan had possessed a single overwhelming technique that he could not resist.
He had lost because Lin Yuan had gradually understood every advantage he possessed and then dismantled them one by one.
His spatial domain had been broken.
His venom had been separated from its circulation.
His physical strength had been redirected.
And finally, the relationship between his two origins had been exploited to deliver a decisive blow.
The Demon King stared at Lin Yuan with disbelief.
"How...?"
Lin Yuan looked down at him.
"You relied on your abilities for countless years. That is not a mistake. But you became so accustomed to using them that you stopped examining the assumptions upon which they depended."
He lowered his hand.
"Your spatial techniques are powerful because you understand how to alter the relationship between coordinates. Your venom is dangerous because you know how to circulate it through your body and release it at the right moment."
Lin Yuan paused.
"But your strength is not without limits."
His gaze became cold.
"When two principles depend upon one another, the relationship between them can become a weakness."
Xie Luo’s body trembled.
He wanted to respond, but the damage to his foundation made it difficult to gather enough energy to speak.
Lin Yuan looked toward Ku Ming.
"Master Ku, can you prevent him from escaping?"
Ku Ming nodded.
"His spatial foundation has been severely damaged. With the Indestructible Karmic Wheel, I can stabilize the surrounding passage and prevent him from forcing his way through the damaged layers."
"Good."
Lin Yuan turned back toward Xie Luo.
The Demon King struggled to raise his head.
"Wait..."
Lin Yuan’s expression did not change.
"You came here to kill me. Why should I wait?"
Xie Luo gritted his teeth.
"You do not understand what you are doing. The Hollow Beyond will not remain silent after the deaths of so many Demon Kings. Even if you kill me, others will come."
Lin Yuan looked at him for several breaths.
Then he smiled faintly.
"That is a possibility."
His eyes became colder.
"But I have already killed three of your kind, and now you have come to deliver yourself to me."
He raised his hand.
A faint crimson-black light appeared around his fingers, accompanied by a thin thread of golden-purple thunder.
Xie Luo’s compound eyes widened.
"No!"
Lin Yuan’s hand descended.
The light struck the center of the Demon King’s forehead.
Xie Luo’s body convulsed once.
Then it became still.
The oppressive aura that had filled the clearing began to fade, and the spatial fluctuations around his body gradually disappeared.
The youngest of the Four Spatial Calamities had fallen.
