"The Fourth Wonder is the Sacred Grounds," Emperor Beiming rumbled. "Hidden, heavily shielded spatial pockets where the flow of time and the concentration of Qi and Dao Laws mirror the ancient era, allowing for vastly accelerated cultivation. It is where we are currently sending our geniuses to prepare for the inevitable breach."

"The Fifth Wonder," Emperor Tianxu said, pointing upward past the purple rift, toward the absolute highest reaches of the stratosphere, "are the Floating Mountains. A towering, gravity-defying range of celestial peaks that pierce the void. They are the only physical pathway that leads to the sealed gates of the Imperial Domain."

Lin Yuan listened intently, his mind memorizing the structural pillars of the Nine Province. "And the remaining four?"

"The Sixth Wonder is the Netherworld Stream," Emperor Nanheng explained, her voice dropping into a solemn whisper. "Because our connection to the true cycle of reincarnation was damaged, the Netherworld Stream physically manifested deep beneath the earth. It is a literal, subterranean river of soul essence where the dead must shed their earthly grudges before their spiritual energy is recycled back into the world’s ambient Qi."

"The Seventh Wonder is the Star Dome Canopy," Emperor Tianxu continued, gesturing to the artificial blue sky above them. "It is not a true sky. It is a massive, self-sustaining array that filters the chaotic, lethal cosmic radiation from the void into the breathable spiritual Qi we use to cultivate."

"The Eighth Wonder is the Primordial Volcanic Forge," Emperor Xiyan added, his eyes reflecting the memory of extreme heat. "The absolute core of our planet. It generates the immense, subterranean thermal energy and earth Qi that keeps the Continental Land from freezing over in the cold of the cosmic void."

"And the Ninth Wonder," Emperor Beiming concluded, his Black Tortoise aura shimmering, "is the Whispering Mirage Woods. An infinitely expanding, self-replicating forest that acts as the lungs of the world. It is a boundless labyrinth of illusions that actively hides and protects the deepest, most dangerous ruins of the ancient era from being pillaged by greedy fools."

Lin Yuan nodded slowly, the golden-purple light in his eyes pulsing in rhythm with the newly revealed truths of the universe.

"The Nine Wonders," Lin Yuan murmured, synthesizing the information flawlessly. "So that is why it is called the Nine Provinces. The world is named after the crutches holding it up."

Before the Emperors could respond to his stark, unsentimental assessment, a sound of absolute tearing ripped through the firmament.

SCREEEEEEEECH!

The sound was the collective, maddening shriek of a million starving entities.

The jagged, bleeding purple fissure in the sky suddenly, violently throbbed. The edges of the crack began to glow with a searing, corrosive black light. Without the immediate, escalating pressure of the Heavenly Fire to counter the demonic expansion, the Hollow Beyond was actively asserting its dominance over the weakened seal.

The crack began expanding.

It did not just widen by a few inches; it began to physically tear across the sky, branching out like a massive, corrupted spiderweb over the Central Continent. The purple miasma, which had previously been leaking in a steady stream, suddenly erupted into a torrential, continent-drowning waterfall, the black-edged light reflecting off the ruined star-iron plates far below like a dying ember.

"The barrier!" Emperor Xiyan roared, stumbling backward in mid-air as the sheer, concussive force of the demonic aura slammed against his Void Refinement domain. "The deaths of the three Demon Kings did not intimidate them! It enraged them! The Demonic Lords are pushing against the glass!"

"The spatial integrity is failing completely!" Emperor Nanheng cried out, her Vermilion Bird flames desperately attempting to incinerate the falling miasma before it could touch the terrified masses still huddled in the ruins of the Grand Court below.

The Five Emperors locked eyes with one another, an unspoken, terrifying consensus passing between the absolute rulers. They had spent their entire lives treating one another as political rivals, but standing beneath the collapsing sky, their petty geopolitical ambitions dissolved into pure, existential survival instinct.

"We cannot hold this alone," Emperor Tianxu declared, his voice cutting through the demonic shrieks, his golden eyes wide with profound urgency. "Our individual powers are insufficient to mend a Grand Ascendant array. The matter is officially out of hand."

Emperor Beiming nodded heavily, his massive shoulders tense. "We need to seek the Cultivation Council immediately. They are the only ones holding the ancient blueprints of the Nine Heavens Ward."

Lin Yuan watched the expanding crack, his True Elemental Body humming with the inexhaustible power of the Five Great Secret Realms. He raised his hand, fully prepared to manifest the Six Arms of Reincarnation once more to physically wrestle the sky shut.

"Do not waste your Origin Energy here, Daoist Lin!" Emperor Tianxu shouted, intercepting Lin Yuan’s intent. The Qilin Emperor flew forward, stopping a respectful distance away, his expression urgent and pleading.

"The crack cannot be closed by brute force alone," Emperor Tianxu explained rapidly, gesturing to the expanding web of black corruption. "It requires synchronized array mending. The Five of us, alongside the Cultivation Council, will exhaust our foundations to temporarily stabilize the tear. We will buy the world time."

Emperor Tianxu looked at the young man.

"Daoist Lin," the Emperor said, his voice dropping the commanding tone of a monarch and adopting the respectful plea of a fellow expert. "Your combat power is terrifying, but your Primordial Spirit is newly formed. You have not yet consolidated your Soul Transformation foundation. Please, head to the Sacred Grounds immediately. The Dao laws there will grant you the resources. Train. Solidify your True Elemental Body. You will meet fellow experts like yourself, the absolute geniuses of our world’s younger generation."

Lin Yuan looked at the faces of the Five Emperors. He looked up at the screeching, expanding abyss of the Hollow Beyond. He knew that Emperor Tianxu was right. He could kill the demons as they poured through, but he could not currently repair the crack.

Lin Yuan offered a single, decisive nod.

"Hold the door, Emperor Tianxu," Lin Yuan said, his voice carrying the absolute, chilling authority of a man who intended to slaughter an entire realm.

Emperor Tianxu nodded hard, the weight of that promise settling visibly across his ancient features.

Lin Yuan did not wait for a response. He turned in the air, utilizing the Immortal Cloud Step to descend instantaneously toward the ruined eastern pavilion of the Grand Court, the wind screaming past him as the shattered rooftops of Sky Jade City rushed up to meet him.

He landed softly on the pulverized star-iron plates, barely disturbing the drifting ash that coated the ruins.

The members of the Zhao Province delegation, including Lord Zhao Shenming, Bai Chen, and Su Yin, immediately nodded at him, their faces pale but steady beneath the roaring, bleeding sky above.

"Listen to me carefully," Lin Yuan said, his voice cutting through the howling wind with absolute clarity. "The Central Continent is no longer a safe place for any of you. The seal is failing, and I do not know how far the corruption will spread before the Emperors can stabilize it. I need all three of you to leave immediately. Travel as far from the rift as the Zhao Province’s fastest arrays will carry you, and do not stop to look back."

Lord Zhao straightened, his old warrior’s instincts bristling against the order. "Daoist Lin, my soldiers, my people—"

"Your people need their Lord alive to lead them," Lin Yuan interrupted firmly, though not unkindly. "A dead hero inspires nothing but grief. A living one can still make decisions that matter. Gather who you can, and go."

Bai Chen opened his mouth to protest, clearly torn between his instinct to stay by his cousin’s side and the plain, undeniable logic of Lin Yuan’s command, but Lin Yuan raised a hand before he could speak.

"I am not finished," Lin Yuan said. He lifted both palms, and three small, intricately carved jade talismans condensed out of the ambient golden-purple mist surrounding his fingers, each one etched with a hair-thin lattice of his own Dao Intent. The air around the three objects hummed faintly, charged with a quiet, coiled power that none of them could fully comprehend.

He pressed one into Lord Zhao’s hand, one into Bai Chen’s, and the last into Su Yin’s, his expression grave.

"These are bound directly to my spiritual sense," Lin Yuan explained. "Crush one, and I will be able to instantly teleport to whatever location you are standing in, regardless of the distance between us. But I want to be absolutely clear. Do not use these unless you are facing a genuine, life-and-death situation, something you cannot survive on your own. I will not always be able to drop everything the instant you call, and I do not want any of you treating these as a convenience rather than a last resort."

Su Yin turned the small jade talisman over in her trembling fingers, feeling the faint warmth radiating from its surface. "We understand, Senior Lin."

"One more thing," Lin Yuan added, his purple eyes sweeping across all three of them in turn. "Stay together. Do not separate from one another, no matter how chaotic things become out there. A group can protect itself, cover for its weaknesses, and make decisions as one. Three people scattered across three different locations is three separate crises I may not be able to answer in time. Keep this simple. Keep it together."

Lord Zhao closed his fist around the talisman, bowing his head deeply. "You have our word, Daoist Lin. We will not separate, and we will not waste your mercy."

Bai Chen managed a tight, nervous smile, tucking the talisman carefully into an inner pocket of his robe. "Try not to need saving yourself out there, alright? I’d rather not have to use mine either."

A faint, almost imperceptible smile tugged at the corner of Lin Yuan’s mouth. "I will do my best not to disappoint you."

With the matter settled, Lin Yuan walked past them, stopping only when he reached Bai Qingyue.

She stood amidst the ruins, her sheer, pale blue gown fluttered in the chaotic winds, her silver hair catching the flickering, violent light of the bleeding sky above.

She looked at her husband, seeing the man who had burned in the Heavenly Furnace to forge a new body, just so he could return to her.

"The Central Continent is no longer safe," Lin Yuan said softly, extending his hand toward her. The terrifying pressure of his Soul Transformation aura vanished entirely, replaced by an infinite gentleness. "The sky is falling, Qingyue. It is time for us to leave."

Bai Qingyue did not hesitate. She reached out, her cool, delicate fingers slipping perfectly into his strong, jade-like grasp.

"Wherever this takes us, Yuan," she whispered, her eyes shining with absolute devotion. "I will walk by your side."

Lin Yuan tightened his grip. His True Elemental Body flared with the golden-purple light of his Dao Intent.

With a deafening crack of thunder that temporarily drowned out the shrieks of the Hollow Beyond, the two of them shot into the sky, transforming into a streak of brilliant, intertwined light. They left the collapsing Grand Court behind, hurtling toward the hidden coordinates of the Sacred Grounds, ready to prepare for the apocalyptic war that would determine the fate of the Nine Provinces.

Below them, Lord Zhao, Bai Chen, and Su Yin watched the twin streak of light vanish into the bruised, bleeding horizon, each of them gripping their small jade talismans just a little tighter before turning, as one, to begin the long journey away from the dying heart of the Central Continent.
