“Then if he says hold it, I should hold it.”

If you’re a cool guy, you’re supposed to listen to the person you like, right? He really did want to go, but in the end, Yeonhoo held it in and kept chattering away nonstop.

(Necromancer) 0momo0: anyway I can’t believe I’m actually going on a raid!! if Miu hadn’t promised to take me I never would’ve even thought about going!!!

(Necromancer) 0momo0: thank you so much for keeping your promise Miu!!! >_<

(Sniper) Miu: Promise?

(Necromancer) 0momo0: yes!!!!

Miu, who had been acting like he was about to start right away, suddenly kept chatting instead—and canceled the Ready button.

(Sniper) Miu: Promise...

(Sniper) Miu: this was a promise between us, right

After chewing on the word for a moment, something strangely worded came from him.

(Sniper) Miu: Yeah

(Sniper) Miu: promises exist to be kept, after all

‘What does that mean?’

It was hard to follow the flow. Yeonhoo blinked at the chat for a moment, then answered anyway.

(Necromancer) 0momo0: right!! thank you sooo much for keeping your promise with me!!!!

Miu stayed silent for a few seconds, then asked directly.

(Sniper) Miu: Momo

(Sniper) Miu: do you want to master this raid?

(Necromancer) 0momo0: oh!! yes!! that would be awesome!

Later, the alliance members who had been there would remember this moment like this:

They should have done whatever it took to shut 0momo0 up.

(Sniper) Miu: Alright, since Momo actually said something right for once, I’ll be generous.

Miu should not have been generous.

(Sniper) Miu: Today we keep going until Momo becomes a hardcore Sky dungeon pro

(Sniper) Miu: I’ll make sure of it

But it was already too late.

The words had been spoken.

(Sniper) Miu: I’m good at keeping promises

The nightmare began.

*****

<Sky Terror>, which required level 160 to enter, was never an easy dungeon.

Part of the problem was that every single attack the monstrous birds used was horrific, but the biggest issue was how often people got pushed off the edge of buildings and fell to their deaths.

Sure, a party member could run over and use revive, but with that endless swarm of crows charging nonstop, reviving someone wasn’t easy at all.

Still, the people here—1Poop1, ShinJadu, and FUNK—had probably thought the same thing.

‘We’re strong anyway. Just go full DPS and shove through it.’

Their levels were high, and they were strong. Watch 0momo0 for a bit, then just crank the damage and wipe the birds out fast, right?

But they had overlooked something. Even an easy dungeon has wipe mechanics, and to kill things quickly, you need a party without a troll in it.

How did they find that out?

(Necromancer) 0momo0: oh crap the bomb exploded ahh

(Grinder) FUNK: oh my god Momo why are you there

(Medic) ShinJadu: ahh!!@!;Momo T_T;

(Gunner) 1Poop1: lol I’m dead  Momo please go easy on the gun...

That’s right.

The Necromancer who went with them, 0momo0...!

(Notification) All raid members have died!

With his astonishing shooting skills, he kept making the monstrous birds trigger their wipe attacks!

The Necromancer’s gun already had a terrible reputation. The controls were awful, and the recoil made no sense at all.

So most parties avoided Necromancers whenever they could—but still.

(Medic) ShinJadu: how... how do you miss every single crow... and only hit the bombs...?

0momo0 hadn’t hit a single bird, not even once.

But the trap bombs the birds dropped on the ground?

He hit those with terrifying, perfect accuracy, over and over, wiping the party every time.

(Gunner) 1Poop1: can we confiscate Momo’s gun

(Grinder) FUNK: taking the gun won’t help

(Grinder) FUNK: that monkey skeleton just turns into the flute skeleton instead

It wasn’t just his aim. 0momo0’s summon skeleton was a problem too.

Like the Pied Piper, the skeleton dragged aggro from every single bird in sight, scrambling the patterns, and in the end 0momo0 had no choice but to shoot to keep the skeleton alive—since they shared HP.

(Grinder) FUNK: nice bomb shot

(Gunner) 1Poop1: goodbye my glorious 3 minutes 11 seconds of life fuckㅠ

And every time that bizarre gun barrel pointed toward a bomb—

Flash.

Boom.

Another spectacular wipe.

(Notification) All raid members have died!

(Necromancer) 0momo0: ahh I shot the bomb again I’m so sorry T_T

The game restarted again. ℯℯ𝑙.

The twisted view returned, the birds flew again, their bodies were whole again...

Everything reset except their sanity.

For a while the party just stood there blankly, as if their souls had left their bodies, until ShinJadu typed in disbelief.

(Whisper) ShinJadu: how... how is this even possible...?

(Whisper) ShinJadu: T_T 1Poop1 you’re holding back on purpose right?

(Whisper) ShinJadu: we’re supposed to be checking if he’s a spy... so you’re going easy... right?

(Whisper) ShinJadu: FUNK you’re probing him carefully too... that’s why our progress is slow... right??

There was no way a raid full of veterans should be stuck like this.

Unable to believe it, ShinJadu sent the whisper—and 1Poop1 and FUNK immediately exploded in reply.

(Whisper) 1Poop1: Jadu did you not see?? I literally hugged the bomb trying to die alone last round fuckㅠ

(Whisper) 1Poop1: I’m trying harder than I ever have in my life;;

(Whisper) FUNK: this is the most focused play I can physically produce

Unbelievably, they weren’t slowing down to test whether 0momo0 was a spy.

They were going all out just to clear the dungeon.

And even they couldn’t believe this situation.

(Whisper) 1Poop1: dude FUNK I’m shoving max DPS nonstop how is this happening?? is this progress real?? can someone actually be this bad??? how did he even play the game until now??? there’s no way this guy is a spy right???

(Whisper) FUNK: hmm... or maybe he’s a real spy and this is some high-level sabotage

(Whisper) 1Poop1: what the hell is this some galaxy-brain strategy?

(Whisper) FUNK: maybe he’s trying to humiliate us on purpose

(Whisper) 1Poop1: ...makes sense

(Whisper) FUNK: yeah right

(Whisper) 1Poop1: no it fucking doesn’t

No matter how hard they attacked, 0momo0’s catastrophic shooting kept dragging out wipe mechanics.

They wanted to get mad—but it was awkward, because.

(Notification) 0momo0 has died!

“At the moment of death... I didn’t forget you guys...”

💥 Bomb (choice) ×10, 💊 Recovery Potion ×5, 🔹 Special Potion ×3 distributed to all party members!

(Notification) 0momo0 has died!

“Hoping everyone survives this time...”

💥 Bomb (choice) ×12, 💊 Recovery Potion ×7, 🔹 Special Potion ×5 distributed to all party members!

(Notification) 0momo0 has died!

“In honor of the last dance I’ll never forget...”

💥 Bomb (choice) ×15, 💊 Recovery Potion ×10, 🔹 Special Potion ×8 distributed to all party members!

In Zombie Village, when you die you can spend gold to send items to your party—basically a cheer package.

Apparently feeling horribly guilty, 0momo0 kept sending those every single time he died...

(Whisper) 1Poop1: feels like he really is sorry though...

(Whisper) FUNK: yeah if he’s actually a newbie then he’s probably doing this out of pure guilt

Just when they were about to yell at his unbelievable skill, he’d send gifts and apologize like that.

You could see he felt bad, so they tried to calm down—

—but then ten seconds into the next round he shot a bomb again and wiped the party, and their insides exploded with rage.

(Gunner) 1Poop1: hey man seriously that one was—

1Poop1 was finally about to snap.

But the next line of chat made him shut his mouth instantly.

(Sniper) Miu: Momo

(Sniper) Miu: I’m curious about something

Miu spoke quietly.

(Sniper) Miu: are you even human?
