I'm Secretly the Father of the Yandere Villainess's Daughter

Chapter 151: Do You Know That I Love You More Than Anything?(end of Volume 1)

Lucy realized after a short time that all her desperate attempts to flee and escape were simply absolute futility, completely devoid of hope!

Though she was not swimming through outer space to cover minor distances or narrow spans—travelling instead across abyssal distances measured in thousands, even millions, of light-years in a single fraction of a second, outstripping stars and bypassing the gravitational pull of supermassive black holes...!

Yet... no matter how hard she pushed her exhausted body to its absolute limits, no matter how intensely she squeezed the mana pathways in her soul, it was to no avail; she always found that shadowy wall standing before her, receiving swift, consecutive strikes that paralyzed her movement! Following these repeated marathon attempts, she became a lifeless, hollow husk, her capabilities drained to the absolute extreme.

In the depths of that stern despair, she had no desire whatsoever to summon her beloved husband Cain; she wouldn’t dream of embroiling him or dragging him into this dark quagmire! She knew—according to her warped beliefs at this moment—that Cain, with his ordinary power, could never stand or resist before the tyranny of this absolute entity... and she would certainly never push her husband, the love of her life, toward ruin and annihilation!

Lucy felt now, after all those failed attempts to escape, that she had become entirely like a miserable mouse trapped inside an impenetrable, tightly sealed cage! But worse still, this mouse was being played with, its nerves manipulated as though there were an illusory chance at survival or a false hope of staying alive!

She couldn’t understand or comprehend why this legendary entity was playing with her in such a humiliating manner rather than finishing her off and killing her directly, despite possessing the absolute capability to eradicate her in the blink of an eye! Yet she reasoned and concluded that he simply sought direct vengeance for the harsh, mocking words she had spewed against him earlier!

And in a pivotal, split second...

Lucy halted her flight and momentum entirely, floating completely still in the heart of dark outer space, feeling waves of total exhaustion and fatigue wash over every cell of her battered body!

She could no longer take off or fly at those mythical speeds again... She was no longer capable of continuing or facing him... There was no way out of this predicament, and no solution on the horizon! Through her arrogance, rashness, and excessive stupidity, she had authored her own inevitable demise... and in those final fractions of time, she wished fate would grant her another chance or extra time, so she could strive to be more humble and wise, never again becoming intoxicated by her magical strength and authority!

At that grim moment, the same shadow entity materialized before her out of thin air, standing to look at her as she lay immersed in complete exhaustion after the fierce game of cat and mouse that had played out in the bowels of deep space!

Lucy raised her head, her rapid breathing piercing the silence of the void. She spoke in a tone of total surrender, thick with pain and brokenness:

"I... can no longer run away... You have won in the end, you sick fanatic! Even though... even though I know with absolute certainty that you will kill me and end my existence now, you have taught me a harsh lesson I will never forget... You showed me the raw truth that my sight was blind to! But listen to me carefully... I will never give you the love or attention you expect from me regardless! You can kill me now and erase my existence as you wish... but I beg of you, leave my husband and daughter alone! They bear no sin, and they have nothing to do with my mistakes and my insolence!"

Before her wide eyes, Lucy saw the shadow entity standing there motionless, as if absorbing every word of farewell that escaped her exhausted lips...

Suddenly... the entity moved!

He did not move with his mythical speed, but rather stepped forward with calm, dignity, and stability through the void, holding his Chaos Sword in his grip!

Lucy closed her eyes completely and surrendered to her inevitable fate...

She didn’t want to witness the moment of her death or see her neck severed before her eyes! She didn’t want to see this opponent advancing toward her like an executioner raising the gallows beam to carry out the sentence!

If she regretted anything in this fleeting life, it was her daughter first, then Cain second... In her past arrogance, Lucy had believed herself strong and absolute enough to remain forever beside her little daughter, Amelia, which was why she had never shown her just how deeply and truly she loved her!

In this fleeting moment, she wanted to scream and tell her daughter that she loved her with every fiber of her being... not mere passing words or legendary slogans, but pure, genuine love and warm motherhood! That she had wished to spend long, endless years by her side without ever drifting away or leaving her again!

As for Cain... she wanted to tell him as well how much she loved and adored him to the point of madness! To tell him the depth of her fear-soaked love; for she had always anticipated that he would never accept her true self, because in the eyes of everyone, she was a brutal monster... the merciless "Empress of Blood"... and a formidable villain to the core!

She adored hearing the words "I love you, Lucy" whenever they left his warm lips; because—at some point deep within her soul—she craved to reply and shout with all her strength: "And I love you madly, Cain!"

She had always caused trouble and complications for him in his life... and even up to this final moment, she remained the primary and sole cause of trouble and ruin! There was no longer enough time to tell him how truly sorry she was for every single moment he had suffered and ached due to her rashness and pride!

And as for Cain... who drew his shadowy body close to Lucy, who stood like one entirely surrendered to the slaughter... He stepped near and studied her soft, blood-smeared features, catching the trace of a warm tear flowing down her injured cheek, marked by the scar, through her closed eyelids...

Cain felt his spiritual heart tearing apart and aching in his chest in the cruelest form of torment!

Cain looked down at his arm, realizing that the technique and effect of the grand summoning magic had finally reached its end and was drawing to a close...

Cain smiled in his heart with love and tenderness, though his expressions could not manifest on this hollow, shadowy vessel; his heart was shattering at the sight of the grief on this beautiful face he adored! In this moment, he wanted to hold her tightly, to kiss her eyes, and to reassure her that nothing bad would ever touch her while under his protection!

And after that fleeting instant...

Cain’s shadowy body dissolved completely and vanished from outer space. His soul returned at miraculous speed across dimensions to settle inside his original body, which lay resting and relaxed atop the Great Pyramid in Egypt!

When Cain opened his physical eyes once more, he directed his affectionate gaze eagerly toward the sky and the vast expanse, toward the deep space his soul had just returned from!

As for Lucy... who was waiting in trepidation for the fatal blow and the severing of her neck... she opened her eyes very slowly after a long wait!

Yet she found neither the terrifying shadow entity nor his severing sword before her!

Instead, she found the vast blackness filled with the enchanting, joyous sparkle of stars twinkling around her in total tranquility!

Her mouth parted in utter disbelief, tears streaming heavily and copiously from her eyes!

Suddenly... the fabric of space tore beside her!

"Lucy!... What are you doing out here in deep space?! Wait... why are you crying like this?!"

Lucy whipped her head around in sharp astonishment, only to find her husband Cain stepping out of a glowing dimensional portal that had opened directly in front of her... genuine concern, panic, and confusion clearly written across his handsome face!

Lucy didn’t wait for a single second, nor did she pause to analyze or inquire! She threw herself at mythical speed into his embrace, clinging to his warm body with all the strength and desperation she possessed, weeping bitterly with consecutive sobs, resting her pale head against his firm, steady chest!

Lucy spoke in a tearful tone, saturated with emotion:

"I love you so much, Cain!... I love you so much and I always will! Have I ever told you before that I love you and our little girl Amelia more than anything else in this entire existence?!"
