Chapter 1108: The Final Race (Part 5)

Varahan Enclave!

KalTara stared at a Wean Clansmen struggle in pain before giving a successful birth. Slowly, he approached the Wean Clansman and patted her on the forehead, “Stay strong.”

“I am,” The Wean Clansman revealed a light chuckle and then eyed the baby she had birthed. The baby looked like every other Wean Clansman born at the Spirit Stage.

However, a glance at the baby and KalTara smirked, “This too, is a success.”

“Now,” He slowly turned around dramatically while holding the baby above his head, walked to the edge of the palace’s balcony that overlooked a valley, standing within which were Wean Clansmen in the thousands. His voice thundered across the valley, “The last of our brethren has been born.”

“This is a Spectral Boar’s child, born as part of our Clan!” KalTara roared, “Glory!”

“Wean Clan!” The audience thundered in response.

Forest Boar, Murky Boar, Heavy Boar, and finally, Spectral Boar. All these variants had been successfully integrated into the Wean Clan.

Grehha’s Empyrean Incubators that had been modified by Yarsha Zahara had been turned into a Blessed influence, which was implanted into a Wean Clansman’s womb.

And then, in their Empyrean Boar form, they mated with one of the variants until they became pregnant. Similar to how Tigers and Lions could mate to birth a Liger, as technically part of the same cat family, all boar variants could do the same, since they all originated from Brangara.

Once the Wean Clansman was pregnant, she reverted to human form and carried the fertilised egg, relying on the Empyrean Incubator to birth the progeny in human form instead as a Pranic Beast.

When this process succeeded, the result was a Wean Clansman who could transform into the same Pranic Beast Race as their father.

Spectral Boar was the last of the list. And with it, the Wean Clan had a total of five branches, with the main branch being the Empyrean Boar Race, for they could reach Expert Gold Grade status as the Boar King naturally, and eventually, in the far future, could become the Empyrean Boar King.

Since a child was successfully produced for the Spectral Boar, this child would mate with Free Humans kidnapped from the Varahan Empire and produce more of their kind.

Within a few decades, the Spectral Boar population among the Wean Clan would reach a decent number.

“Glory!”

“Wean Clan!”

“Glory!”

“To Us!”

As the crowd cheered, KalTara eyed the various branches. The Forest Boar branch was the most numerous, since their side had succeeded first and the fastest.

The Forest Boar Branch of the Wean Clan currently numbered eighty, with a few among them having entered their teenage years. Two of them had entered the Body Stage to successfully attain a Nature.

Primary Nature—Forest Boar Transformation!

The Murky Boar Branch had around fourteen Clansmen while the Heavy Boar Branch had five. Finally, the Spectral Boar Branch now had one. ’This completes the foundation I had in mind for the Wean Clan.’

’Now,’ He stared deeper into Sumatra, in the direction of the Varahan Empire, ’To reclaim what was ours.’

However, even with the recent advancement in the Wean Clan’s comprehensive strength, they had yet to gain any advantage over the Varahan Empire. The other side too was growing at an alarming pace.

“Leader!” A subordinate shouted and kneeled before KalTara, “The scout has returned!”

“Alright,” KalTara rushed alongside the subordinate and arrived at an open shed to stare at a Wean Clansman who had been turned into a crystal. Engraved on their chest, moments before their death, were two words.

[Expert Gold!]

“That answers everything.” KalTara raised his voice and bellowed towards his army, “Everyone!”

“Raise your arms!” He roared, “We’re going to aim for the Seat of Transcendence!”

Smack dab on the battlefield between the regions controlled by the Wean Clan and the Varahan Empire was a portal leading into the Transcended Plane.

The moment it appeared, KalTara sent a few Clansmen inside first to test the waters. Only one of them made it out, that too dead. However, before he had become crystallised, he had carved the words on his chest.

Only someone at Expert Gold Grade could survive the Transcended Plane. That was what the message indicated.

And in the Wean Clan, only KalTara was eligible.

“Leader!” A Wean Clansman broke a finger piece from the crystallised Clansman, “It’s a mineral.”

“Grade?” KalTara asked.

“Silver,” Replied the Clansman.

“Good work,” KalTara gently patted the crystallised Wean Clansman and walked in the direction of the portal, “Now, I’ll do my part.”

“Leader, but what if…” One of the subordinates hesitated to state the obvious.

What if KalTara were to die? There wasn’t anyone else strong enough at the Wean Clan to hold their own against a Deity or an opponent of the same calibre.

The Varahan Empire had Yoribu with Boar King strength. Only KalTara could keep pace with her and restrict her actions. Without him, she could roam on the battlefield freely.

And now that the Varahan Empire had its Crown Prince, her son, Yoribu could move with a tad more freedom.

“Some things are worth the risk.” KalTara said, used the Nature of Shredded Lunge and vanished from the place.

Soon, he had entered the Transcended Plane, noticing his surroundings were filled with sculptures of all sorts. Free Humans, Pranic Beasts, Ravaged Tribesmen, they were all sorts scattered about in his surroundings.

KalTara watched as a foreign influence invade his being and wrestle away control over his body. However, as the influence wreaked havoc, his form changed to gradually counter the influence.

The reason was simple: He had stolen and stored a Reactive Jade Human Avatar in one of his tusks. Thanks to his Expert Gold Grade strength, he was able to tank the influence long enough for the Reactive Jade Human Avatar to transform and counter it.

This granted him a slight edge over his base self, allowing him to remain himself at the end of a minute. Watching a path form before him, stretching for a couple hundred metres, KalTara began to spot some living beings who were travelling deep in the Transcended Plane.

“Huh?” He was stunned to see a familiar face in the deepest region of the Transcended Plane, kilometres away from his position, having outpaced everyone else, “Leukeu?”

“How did you manage to move that far?”

KalTara spent some time gathering intel before entering the Transcended Plane. And hence, he was trailing back as compared to his competitors.

“You’re here.” Yoribu uttered from afar, having travelled a couple kilometres by now, “Well, see you out soon.”

“Damn their resistance!” KalTara cursed upon seeing Yoribu faint in response to a Transcendent’s influence. Her body morphed in response, beginning to crystallise. She remained a crystal for a few minutes, and then began to revert to her human form. ’She’s losing over and over.’

’However, thanks to her resistance to external influence, she’ll eventually recover unless she’s dead.’ He grumbled and began to move once his current path flickered out of existence.

A good fraction of those in the lead were Mystic Humans.

KalTara swerved to the side suddenly and stared at a massive eye glaring down upon him. The eye belonged to a head attached to a ten-kilometre-long neck. It was an Empyrean Snapper, faring significantly better than him.

“Hmph!” Assuming human form, the Empyrean Snapper snorted in KalTara’s direction and rushed forward.

“I won’t be left behind!” KalTara grunted and trudged forward, only to suddenly feel a lack of pressure upon himself.

Suddenly, all the Transcendents were gone, allowing the natives to rush forward with ease.

The first to break into a sprint was obviously the Brully moving at the forefront of the group.

’What is happening?’ KalTara noticed the various bizarrely shaped eyes and faces moving towards a certain portal, as if waiting in response for something.

He only wasted a second to glance at what was happening before breaking into top speed upon assuming his Boar King form.

“Eh?” Suddenly, the Empyrean Snapper moving within earshot to KalTara gasped in fluster upon staring down at the eye of a Cooter Clan Transcendent. And then, he hurriedly glanced in the direction of the closest portal and began running towards it.

He was…fleeing.

Just as KalTara wondered what was happening to make an Empyrean Snapper altogether give up and flee senselessly, he noticed the figure running at the forefront arrive at a halt.

Within a minute, KalTara caught up to Leukeu and asked the latter, “Why…have you stopped?”

“I intend to live, that’s why.” Replied the other party. Tʜe sourc of ths content s Nove1Fire.net

Before KalTara could hear an answer, there was a shrill scream from behind. It was unknown who let out the scream. All KalTara felt from it was dread, absolute dread.

Something incomprehensibly dangerous was about to enter the Transcended Place. in response to this entity’s entry had all the Transcendents moved in proximity towards the respective portal.

“It’s a guaranteed death back there.” Leukeu said while KalTara was stressing a little. “However,”

Pointing before them, Leukeu uttered in the same tone, “Death is also a guarantee before us.”

“What?” As KalTara blurted out his confusion, the water layer before them trembled and gradually, a figure surfaced. Reaching a height of 2.2 metres with ivory hair that cascaded to her ankle like a waterfall, was this woman who seemed like she was in her late fifties.

Somehow, scars covered her face, which seemed impossible, given Prana was capable of healing anything on Sumatra. The woman calmly stared at the natives that were gathering before her and twirled once.

“How…is this possible?” KalTara stuttered, “You…you’re not supposed to be on Sumatra.”

’We meet again,’ Ignoring KalTara’s fluster, Inala eyed the woman tensely, preparing to survive the encounter, ’Mahira!’
