Chapter 1106: The Final Race (Part 3)
Chapter 1106: The Final Race (Part 3)
Major Treasure—Cure!
Acquirable during the First Major Disaster, it was the easiest to obtain. The only condition was to gain the approval of the Supreme Tusk Gannala. Resha had done that merely by being born and hence, obtained Cure.
Major Treasure—Attribute!
It was the most contested over during the Second Major Disaster. Inala obtained it and used it to evolve into the Royal Zinger. The moment he reached the Mystic Grade and became a pinnacle being on Sumatra, the Major Disasters stopped being a threat to him.
After all, the Royal Zinger had enough strength to face the subsequent Major Disasters head on with some preparation and obtain the Major Treasure part of it.
And even before the Third Major Disaster started, the Quip Clan, under the Royal Zinger’s order, managed to locate the Kalahatra Desert. Upon spotting the Influenced Region of Armoury, the Royal Zinger used it in its plans to kill the Celestial Boar.
Major Treasure—Weapon!
It was given to Grehha for safekeeping. Inala reclaimed it later after a successful rebirth.
Major Treasure—Pet!
It was originally supposed to signal the start of the Fourth Major Disaster. However, the Royal Zinger infiltrated the Influenced Region of Sanctuary well in advance and obtained Pet, which was then given to Grehha prior to the Third Major Disaster.
Five Major Treasures formed the anchor for Sumatra Chronicles. Of it, Inala gained possession of three, very much similar to Resha from Sumatra Chronicles. And now, the climax of Sumatra Chronicles, the reward at the end of an exhausting journey, had revealed itself.
Major Treasure—Seat of Transcendence!
A mere contact with it and one’s build would be elevated to the peak, until they attained Transcendence. A Pranic Beast, upon coming into contact, would reach the Mystic Grade, if its genetic had such a possibility even remotely.
Of course, since the Nature of Cultivator existed, it would be granted to the Pranic Beast if it had no other means to reach the Transcendence Stage.
A Free Human, on the other hand, would simply enter the Mystic Grade and reach the peak of the 10-Life Stage, following which they would stably become a Transcendent.
For a Free Human to reach the Mystic Grade, the condition was merely to successfully integrate a piece of Sumatra Gold in each of their Human Avatar while maintaining the stack. This was impossible for majority of the Free Humans.
But the Seat of Transcendence will ensure this happens successfully, irrespective of how incompetent the Free Human was.
A Ravaged Tribesman would not only become a Clansman, but also experience the same growth. This would also funnel the growth of the Pranic Beast they were attached to. If the Seat of Transcendence had enough power, it would also elevate the attached Pranic Beast to the Mystic Grade, if there was a wide enough path for the same.
Of course, the extent of the Seat of Transcendence’s capabilities was unknown. It was a Mystic Grade Major Treasure, unlike every other Major Treasure.
Major Treasure—Palm!
This was a Mystic Grade Major Treasure, created upon the death of the Royal Zinger maintaining its State of Unity. Its ability was fixed, like other Major Treasures.
Only the Seat of Transcendence was special, since it was linked to Sumatra Continent itself, in that the continent’s database itself was used to elevate a being’s build to the pinnacle. As long as a method existed on Sumatra, then it was possible.
Influenced Region—Transcended Plane!
It was the Influenced Region of the Seat of Transcendence. A bluish void resembling the sky, with the ground resembling ocean, producing soft ripples when one set foot upon it.
The Transcended Plane seemed absolutely serene, without a hint of danger. It felt the safest and most secure in the entirety of Sumatra. Inala looked around and didn’t find a hint of danger. That was, until he stared up, into the sky, past the flimsy sky.
Grumble-Thump!
A droplet of blood dripped out of his eyes, following which he instinctively closed them. It was a mere dot in the sky, so far away it was almost impossible to see for any creature without eyesight as good as a Brully.
And that dot, was rapidly closing in on the sky, threatening to crash through it. A mere glance at it, and Inala lost control of his motor functions.
His limbs hung limply, without an ounce of strength in them. His Prana had separated from his blood and was dancing around the blood vessels erratically, wreaking damage. Cracks started to appear on all three of his Spirit Containers, growing deeper with every passing second.
’…Shit!’ Thought Inala, feeling some recovery in his mindspace, ’I never thought it was this bad!’
What he had glanced at was a creature so dangerous, it stood at the absolute peak of the world of Transcendents. So dangerous, its every appearance sent ever Transcendent panicking, and had to be ganged upon by Mystic Transcendents just to be driven back. There were very few records of one of them even being killed.
Cosmic Being!
A glance at such a being and Inala had almost become a vegetable. Blood continued to drip out of his eyes and splotched on the floor, forming a thin layer atop the water surface.
While he was in such a state, a bunch of Iron Grade Pranic Beasts poured out of a nearby portal. They swarmed the place and scattered through the vast region. They seemed excited, desperately so, upon sensing the endless presence of completeness oozing out of the Seat of Transcendence.
While running, one of the Iron Grade Pranic Beasts noticed something underneath it. Instinctively, it stared at the water surface, only to think it had walked onto an island of sorts. For right underneath the smooth water layer that it could tread upon like flatland for some reason, was a rocky texture. Each rock resembled a boulder, some jagged, some smooth, but overall seemed to exhibit a refined texture.
The patterns didn’t seem natural, but manually created, for some reason. The Iron Grade Pranic Beast didn’t even bother to think about this strange surface that had appeared underneath its foot and was busy running towards the pillar of light into the distance.
And then, opened an eye, fully formed of the rocky texture. There was no difference in texture, but it was an eye. It felt like that. That was what the creature felt as its body transformed into the same texture as the structure underneath.
It wasn’t alone though, as thousands of Iron Grade Pranic Beasts running over the rocky eye had ended up in the same state. And slowly, the eye adjusted itself, heading a tad deeper, which caused an Iron Grade Pranic Beast to lose its bowel moments, in the midst of which it turned into a rocky state of itself.
After adjustment, now highlighted in view was a humanoid, rocky face, appearing a few hundred metres wide. Any creature it glanced upon turned to rock.
Krieeeee!
A Silver Grade Pranic Beast burnt to ash in a matter of seconds upon being stared at by a humanoid face made out of a red-hot crystal.
Brrrr!
A Millinger grunted and groaned, mustering all its power to resist as it was stared upon by a golden eye. A second was all it could last, following which its body exploded like fireworks, with each of its body parts curving around in the air for a brief spectacle before dropping into a pile.
“M-M-Monster!” A Free Human who had entered the Transcended Plane shouted madly upon spotting a pair of tentacles curling about underneath his position. A tenth of a second later, he collapsed into a pile of dust, from which a few hundred bugs crawled, each exploding into blood mist spontaneously after.
State of Unity…!
“Gah!” Inala gasped in a hurry as a faint beam of light surged through his being, in stutters. It forcefully attracted Prana back into the blood and allowed it to begin his recovery, following which he gained enough motor function to at least start breathing.
That was all he could muster at the moment, and even that had cost him over two thousand units of Prana. “Gah…hah…haaaa…!”
“Shit,” He coughed a few times and wiped the blood oozing out of his eyes. He then swerved his head to notice faces appearing beyond both the sky and under the ocean layer. A glance at one of the faces, and a mysterious sensation struck him.
State of Unity…!
He couldn’t activate it yet, but could spark it, which was enough to offset the influence that had struck him. Goosebumps formed on his skin, followed by needles of his blood flying out. But that was it, he wasn’t messed up like the Millinger earlier.
Gasping for a few more seconds, Inala took another glance at the golden face and uttered, “I know you.”
“You’re…” He gulped, gathered his bearings until he managed to gain control of his arm, and then uttered, “Jandl Brimgan!”
Gold Transcendent of the Brimgan Empire—Jandl Brimgan!
He was the second Brimgan Royal to have attained the Transcendence Stage, and was also the last in their history, for the Brimgan Royalty only had two Transcendents.
The golden eye noticed Inala staring at it and then moved closer, directing its influence into the latter.
“Grah!” Needles of blood burst out of his body, alongside cell tissues. By now, Inala had recovered enough to move his arms, clanking which he produced a soft ring and shielded himself to a decent degree.
The eye observed him for a full minute, steadily pouring its influence into the latter. And past a minute, upon seeing that Inala hadn’t died, it closed its eyelids and disappeared deeper into the water.
Boom!
Mystic Kinesis Art—Sword Flight!
The Skill popped up in Inala’s mind, as a reward for enduring the influence. And then, a small golden path stretched before him, spanning a around nine hundred metres in length. It stretched towards the pillar of light.
Slowly, once he gained motor function in his legs, Inala began walking on the golden path. As he walked over it, no other eye came to bother him, giving him some time to recover.
Bang!
A Pranic Beast noticed he was safe and leapt onto the golden path, only to explode into a thousand pieces to create a firework and then fall next to the golden line as a pile.
Since Inala survived, he was rewarded with a Skill he could use, and also safety to progress towards the pillar of light for a fair distance.
“That’s what it does, huh?” As he dragged his feet, Inala groaned as from atop the golden path, he could eye his surroundings without any problems. And then, he observed the sea being littered by the faces, some of which were familiar to him, from the time he left Sumatra Continent for an hour as the Royal Zinger.
“They are Sumatra’s Transcendents,” Inala uttered, “It seems the Transcendent Plane is one where they can freely interact with the natives.”
“And…” He furrowed his brows, seeing at the end of the golden path was a pair of tentacles, absolutely more terrifying than every other tentacle that was appearing around the place. “Fucker, I can recognise your damn mug anywhere.”
“Renduldu!”
