Chapter 1096: Three Gates, Three Hundred Natures

Chapter 1096: Three Gates, Three Hundred Natures

First Gate of Awakening—Ability!

Second Gate of Awakening—Form!

Third Gate of Awakening—Spawn!

“Three gates, all are perfect!” Asaeya muttered as she entered the First Gate of Awakening. It was a foreign space, shaped like a tower.

Currently, all the floors of the tower were transparent, while the first floor was blinking. It was an implication that this was Asaeya’s first life as a Yali Clansman.

Yali Clansmen were fixed in terms of identity. Even if Asaeya were to die now, she’d be reborn as the daughter of another Yali Clansman eventually.

When she was born, she’d be like an empty vessel, but with a base personality of herself. Through Mystic Refiner Art, she’d be able to access her past life’s memories.

It was a personal choice. She could access and absorb information from her previous lives at her sole discretion, according to the situation at play. Over the generations of her rebirths, she’d have a larger arsenal of information regarding all the trials and errors she had committed over her previous lives.

And then, she’d be able to tread on a better progression path. Eventually, over the generations, she’d perfect her build, after endless experimentations, and then reach her ultimate ideal in terms of strength and versatility.

The path, for this versatility lay in the three Gates of Awakening.

100 Abilities! 100 Transformations! 100 Spawns!

The First Gate of Awakening granted the Yali Clansman a list of 100 Natures, which had been extensively picked by Gannala after significant time pondering about everything. The result was a complete list that could theoretically counter every build on Sumatra, if used well.

These Natures were emission based, having Nature effects on the offensive and defensive side. The Nature of Prana Shock was one such example.

The Second Gate of Awakening granted the Yali Clansman a list of 100 transformations. It was similar to the Nature Weapon of Empyrean Boar Transformation that Gannala had.

The respective Spirit Weapon, when fused with the Yali Clansman, allowed them to assume the appearance of a Pranic Beast and fully wield its physical capabilities. And of course, this could also be used offensively.

The Spirit Weapon, upon contact, would enter the Nature Weapon slot. It would then unleash the respective Transformation on the target Pranic Beast, morphing the latter’s body to result in an unbalanced mutant.

Even if there isn’t a Nature Weapon slot, the Spirit Weapon could still fuse with the body, similar to a Minor Treasure. Thereby, its functions were hard to guard against. Of course, the Spirit Weapon could be damaged and even destroyed, at which point, the Nature in it would vanish. And then, the Yali Clansman would have to begin creating it from scratch at the Spirit Stage.

The Third Gate of Awakening pretty much contained the power of the Boutique Lizard’s Pranic Beast Registry. The Yali Clansman could have their choice of a Pranic Beast and spawn them, given their Spirit Weapon had enough Prana.

The spawned Pranic Beast could be controlled, requiring a Spirit Weapon per each. At the 10-Life Stage, a Yali Clansman could control 10 spawned Pranic Beasts.

A Yali Clansman didn’t need any external assistance to grow or develop. As long as they lived in an area with trees, they could steadily cultivate to the peak.

After all, Mystic Refiner Art had the properties of three Natures combined into it: Internal Astral Cultivator, Weaponisation, and Sandy Grey Assimilation.

After getting their Primary Nature, a Yali Clansman could either refine it simply to its peak, or funnel into it the influence from their Secondary and Tertiary Natures upon reaching the peak of the Body Stage.

Using these influences, they would steadily alter the Primary Nature. They could use the same process to refine their Secondary and Tertiary Natures too. And once they had reached their perfect build, they could progress through the Life Stage.

Of course, for every new body in the Life Stage, they would have to repeat the entire refinement process, which creates too many chances for failures. This was where their generational experience comes into play.

The first floor of the tower in the First Gate of Awakening had a total of 100 information clusters. Each cluster resembled a painting, depicting the face of the Pranic Beast it originated from.

Some of the Pranic Beasts were naturally found on Sumatra while others had been synthesised by Gannala. They were all at the Iron Grade, the lowest of the low possible. Every Yali Clansman would inherit Natures at this Grade.

Then, they would have to refine it up the Grade using Mystic Refiner Art. Mutating and upgrading the Natures was the essence of a Yali Clansman’s life.

It was a daunting task, and during their first lifetime, it would be a wonder if they could even reach the Gold Grade. Even Asaeya had zero thought about reaching that point.

Her first life would be purely experimental. She would make as many mistakes as possible. And then, once she had the perfect build that she wanted, she would practice it. And then, over the next few generations, she would familiarise herself with the process, so that in every successive generation, she could elevate her Grades faster and rise through the Life Stage as quickly as possible.

Theoretically, after dozens of lifetimes repeating the same, there would come a point where Gannala would reach even the Mystic Grade in a matter of years and maybe spend less than a century to reach the 10-Life Stage.

“For the first one, I’ll take the simplest one.” Asaeya uttered upon arriving before the picture of a Slump Lizard.

She touched the picture and watched it shatter into fragments and merge into her body. And then, she woke up in reality, watching her ivory black Spirit Weapon humming with a faint new presence.

It now had the Nature of Grand Slump in it. Seeing it, she smiled, “Perfect!”

The Nature was at Iron Grade, and at present, had no potential path. Her first path would be to elevate it to the Gold Grade. So that in future generations, a Yali Clansman wouldn’t have to struggle through upgrading it.

All the three Gates of Awakening belonged to the Yali. Meaning, if the basic Natures listed in it are refined, their potential paths would be retained as is. This means, a future generation Clansman would only have to provide energy to the Nature to elevate its grade, which would be many times faster than refining it to higher Grades.

This applied only to the basic Natures, not the combinations the Clansmen would make. Information related to these combinations would be present in the Clansman’s respective tower.

Every Nature, in all three categories, were nerfed to the Iron Grade, including the Secondary Nature of Empyrean Boar King Transformation, a Mystic Grade transformation ability.

At present, this transformation would allow the Yali Clansman to assume an Iron Grade version of the Empyrean Boar King, like an exact diluted version of the same, down at the Iron Grade.

“There are no influence issues. Great!” Asaeya was happy with the result. The reason they took the risks to separate the Spirit Container from their body was to avoid the influence issues.

Of course, if it gets destroyed, they’ll lose all the cultivation progress associated with it. And then, they would have to start from the Spirit Stage once again.

However, the advantage with the Yali Clan was that, at the later generations, this wouldn’t be an issue, as they could progress faster through cultivation, thanks to experience of having repeated the same countless times.

“My Prana Capacity…” Asaeya smiled upon inspecting her ivory black Spirit Weapon, “Is at 101 units.”

As long as she uses Mystic Refiner Art and continues elevating the potency of her Primary Nature, her Prana capacity to would keep increasing. Thanks to the effects of Internal Astral Cultivator, it would increase without limits into the Mystic Grade too.

Of course, a Subtle Terrain Domination cultivated through this manner would be significantly simpler and weaker than whatever Nature Wally gets at the Mystic Grade. His Nature would be able to fully harness his Mystic Grade physical and mental capabilities.

In contrast, the Yali Clan’s Subtle Terrain Domination would pale in comparison, unable to fully utilise a Mystic Grade brain and body.

Of course, that’s why Mystic Refiner Art existed. The Yali Clansman could steadily develop Subtle Terrain Domination and theoretically, bring it to the same level as Wally’s Mystic Grade Nature, in due time, which might take thousands of years.

But they could get there.

“Now, to actually begin training.” She let out a soft sigh, for her current state was no different from getting a new lease on life. “I’m currently eight years old.”

“I have a long life ahead of me.” Saying as such, Asaeya looked around and stared at the sky, to see the curtain of night that cut off the Sanrey Plains from the rest of Sumatra, “From here, everything looks absolutely peaceful.”

However, she knew that wasn’t the case, as it had already been a few hours since the Seat of Transcendence revealed itself.

“Now,” She uttered upon seeing more and more Yali Clansmen begin gaining consciousness. Staring at the grinning face of Bora, she announced, “We all charge relentlessly until we’ve grown strong enough to summon our Deity!”

The Yali Clan only had a single State of Harmony, one unleashed by every Clansmen simultaneously. When they unleash it, their powers combine to produce the unified version of their Clan. It was a State of Harmony unleashed in unison, drawn inspiration from the ridiculousness of Astral Puncture, one unleashed by all living Yali Clansmen.

One so robust that it could tank even a State of Unity and simply shrug it off, like a minor explosion happening across a ginormous mountain. And a generation later, the damaged section would have regrown, as the killed Clansmen would simply be born again.

State of Harmony—Yali!
