Chapter 260: Female Disguised as Male x Despairing Straight Female (16): Lucas Likes Male Zergs

  • Next Chapter

[Huh? That's strange. Felix doesn't like being satisfied? What Female Zerg doesn't like taking it from behind?]

[He's probably doing it to serve Lucas because he doesn't want Major General Lucas to tire himself out. I'm crying.]

[Even though they ended up using Male Zerg pheromones, you can still tell that they love only each other. Felix works so hard to serve the Major General, while the Major General even feels ashamed of having a perfectly normal reaction to pheromones. They're both such good Zergs. This is pure love.]

[What? You're not calling it science fiction this time?]

[Fine, there's still a tiny bit of science fiction involved, but when you apply it to Female Zergs, it somehow seems more reasonable.]

[I don't understand why Female Zergs are convinced that Female Zergs, who are innately incapable of resisting Male Zerg pheromones, are more devoted in love than Male Zergs.]

[Because scumbag Male Zergs are way too common! You don't even dare have any fantasies about them.]

[Read enough novels written by Female Zergs and you'll understand. In their fictional worlds, Female Zergs are always hardworking, utterly faithful, constantly mistreated tragic characters who'll crawl back on their own even after being abandoned, while Male Zergs are all monstrous perverted scumbags with absolutely no decency left.]

[The moment a Female Zerg receives a matching notification, before he's even seen the Male Zerg's face, he'll fall hopelessly in love and decide that no one else will do. Felix and Lucas falling in love at first sight and firmly choosing each other actually fits the standard characterization in Female Zerg novels perfectly. It's just that the object of affection changed from a Male Zerg to another Female Zerg, which creates a tiny comprehension problem. Once you work through that yourself, it's easy to accept.]

[They receive a matching notification and decide no one else will do, then they go on a blind date and aren't chosen, get depressed, receive another matching notification, and immediately decide the new Male Zerg is the only one for them. What they actually want is pheromones, isn't it? Doesn't matter which Male Zerg they come from.]

[When you put it that way, Felix and Lucas actually don't fit the traditional characterization at all. Neither of them cares about pheromones. They only want each other.]

[Who says they don't care? Lucas pulled out one tube of Male Zerg pheromones and Felix practically died of jealousy. Likewise, when Felix wanted to use the Male Zerg pheromones he carried around, Lucas didn't say anything aloud, but he was incredibly bothered inside. He practically ground his teeth to pieces.]

[Come to think of it, that's strange. The pheromones other Zergs buy are all packaged commercial products, but what Felix took out was very clearly labeled a "pheromone collection tube." Usually, only a Male Zerg—or a Female Zerg who received it personally from a Male Zerg—would have something like that, right?]

[Oh no! (horrified) So Felix really does have a Male Zerg/male on the side! And they're close enough to exchange pheromones!]

[Something's wrong. There are a thousand, ten thousand things wrong here. Felix has a pheromone collection tube. Felix is dedicated to serving Lucas and refuses to let Lucas touch him from behind. And earlier they said his sense of gender identity is blurry.]

[I have a bold theory...]

[Thinking about that picture the Marshal posted, I also have a bold theory.]

[What the hell are you guys talking about? Are we even on the same wavelength? Why can't I understand anything? What was wrong with the Marshal's picture? Wasn't it just his official announcement that he's together with An-shen, which nearly got mistaken for an announcement that they're a Female Zerg couple...]

[Oh-ho. Speaking of which, could the Marshal's picture have been something other than an official announcement—or rather, not just an official announcement, but a spoiler?]

[???]

[Great theory. So can Felix—or rather, Lord Felix—still protect his rear?]

[You can't mean what I think you mean, right? Impossible, right? How could that be? Aren't we reading a Female Zerg × Female Zerg story? Wait! Lucas, take your hand back! Don't get any ideas about Lord Male Zerg's rear!]

[How did he suddenly become a Male Zerg? Huh? (completely lost) Did I miss a class or something? (looks around) (panicking)]

[It's fine. Go play somewhere else. You and Lucas can sit at the same table.]

...

[Felix stared stiffly at Lucas, not daring to loosen his grip on his hand in the slightest. His entire body had gone rigid as a statue.

Starting from where Lucas's fingertips had landed near his tailbone, goosebumps spread upward layer by layer, every hair on his body standing on end.

Lucas was puzzled. He didn't understand why Felix was so nervous.

He only wanted Felix to experience the ultimate satisfaction and pleasure as well. That was something a partner ought to do. It was the most basic thing.

Felix's mind raced as he desperately searched for a solution.

"I... actually prefer it this way. Without... without any of that."

Lucas didn't believe him. What Female Zerg wouldn't like the method that truly belonged to Female Zergs?

He decided that Felix was simply thinking too much about Lucas's needs and taking excessive care of him.

But Felix was seriously underestimating him. Lucas wasn't the kind of Female Zerg who could only lie there and enjoy himself. He was perfectly willing to put in effort when it came to something like this.

Even though he'd never done it before, and it had never even entered his considerations until now, if the other person was Felix, he could do it. He could overcome the barrier in his heart and bring Felix pleasure.

As long as Felix could be happy, Lucas was willing to make some sacrifices.

Besides, it couldn't really be called a sacrifice on either side. Felix had been taking care of him all along, prioritizing Lucas's pleasure. It was only right that Lucas give him an equal return.

Meeting Lucas's determined gaze, Felix wanted to cry but had no tears. To protect his rear position, his only option was to lean over and kiss Lucas, distracting him so thoroughly that he wouldn't have any chance to think about Felix's backside.

Lucas went soft the moment Felix kissed him, but he still tried to struggle a little, unwilling to simply sink back into the pillows.

Felix frantically pinned him down and did his utmost to make it clear that he genuinely liked doing it this way and neither liked nor needed the other method Lucas kept worrying about.

In the end, Lucas failed. Once Felix had him pinned down, all the strength went out of his resistance.

After several rounds, Lucas finally realized just how determined Felix was and understood that Felix genuinely did seem to enjoy doing it this way, so for the time being, he stopped bringing up the idea of taking over himself.

Perhaps Felix really was extraordinarily gifted in this area.

In any case, Lucas genuinely felt incredibly good—better than the best he could possibly have imagined. Perhaps even a high-ranking Male Zerg wouldn't be any better than this?

No. A high-ranking Male Zerg definitely couldn't compare to Felix. The feelings between them were incomparable.

Of course, he still believed that the ultimate pleasure for a Female Zerg came from behind. He might not mention it now, but that only meant he wouldn't mention it now. Once he got another opportunity in the future, or Felix's attitude softened, Lucas would still personally take up arms and satisfy Felix himself.

The night deepened, but darkness didn't hinder a Female Zerg's vision. Belatedly, Lucas remembered something.

"Where are your Zerg markings?" Lucas asked the Zerg on top of him.

This was something he'd been curious about for quite some time. It was just that before they'd established their relationship, it would have been inappropriate to stare all over Felix's body looking for them.

During their previous encounters, Felix had left Lucas so dazed that he'd been too busy clinging to him to remember the markings at all. Now he'd finally found a quiet moment to investigate.

Felix had said before that his Zerg markings were in a relatively concealed location. Lucas's gaze settled on his body, traveling over his smooth skin and perfectly proportioned muscles, and his ears grew slightly hot.

At Lucas's question, Felix paused briefly, seemingly thinking about something. Then he straightened up, displaying his firm abdominal muscles and gesturing for Lucas to look lower.

"Here."

Lucas saw them.

Below Felix's abdominal muscles, over his lower abdomen, were dark-red patterns. The markings were densely interwoven like a totem, resembling a bird in flight.

Lucas was drawn to the distinctive pattern and raised a hand to touch it. At the same time, he was slightly puzzled as to why he couldn't sense any Zerg-marking energy from it.

Before his fingers could make contact, Felix caught them.

In the darkness, Felix stared at him, and Lucas stared back in a daze.

Felix bent down to kiss him, kissing his lips, the corner of his mouth, his chin, and the golden-red Zerg markings that rose and fell over the muscles of his chest.

Lucas's markings resembled flames. They covered a wider area, and whenever he became excited, energy would visibly surge through them. Their color would also grow more vivid, almost as though they were glowing.

Through his haze, Lucas once again thought about Felix's markings. The pattern was beautiful, exquisitely intricate in a way he'd never seen before, yet utterly still, without the slightest fluctuation of energy.

It was somewhat... strange.

Lucas's brows drew together slightly, only for the thought to dissolve again beneath Felix's kisses.

Over the following days, they spent almost all their time in the hotel, completely unwilling to separate from each other.

Lucas remained convinced that Felix was sacrificing himself to serve him. Even if it was what Felix himself wanted, Lucas still felt terribly guilty about it and indulged Felix in absolutely everything.

Even when Felix pushed him toward the floor-to-ceiling window, Lucas looked out at the bustling traffic outside and accepted it with the tips of his ears burning crimson.

He knew perfectly well that the glass curtain walls of a high-end hotel like this would only allow visibility in one direction.

Knowing it was one thing. But watching aircraft sweep past outside the window was another. A military Female Zerg's mech-pilot vision was sharp enough that he could even clearly see the Zergs inside those aircraft, or the Zergs walking along the streets below. Everything was perfectly visible.

The sheer exposure made Lucas unbearably embarrassed. Every muscle in his body tightened, squeezing Felix hard.

Felix sharply sucked in a breath several times and bit down on the back of Lucas's shoulder. But it was obvious that he liked Lucas's reaction.

Three chaotic days passed. Their vacation was about to end, and they had no choice but to pack their things and prepare for the return journey.

Felix was still teasingly asking Lucas questions.

"Major General, do you like Female Zergs or Male Zergs?"

Lucas was just about to answer when he suddenly received a message from Military Headquarters.

He opened the light screen. The moment he read the words displayed there, his pupils abruptly contracted and all color drained from his face.

Felix noticed that something was wrong with Lucas's expression and stepped closer in concern.

"What happened?"

Lucas slowly raised his eyes toward him. It took him a while before his gaze finally focused on Felix's beautiful face. His complexion grew even paler, his lips moving soundlessly without managing to form any words.

During the time they'd been away, Silver Fortress had discovered a commissioned officer and an NCO engaging in a Female Zerg–Female Zerg relationship. Because of the negative impact, internal disciplinary action had been taken, and one of them had already been transferred away.

To protect the privacy of military Female Zergs, the entire report omitted their specific names, and every Zerg responsible for handling the incident would also keep the matter confidential.

But the one who had been transferred was a Zerg Lucas knew well.

Days of dreamlike intimacy and sweetness had nearly made Lucas lose himself, stripping away his reason and independent judgment.

Yet all of it shattered under the impact of cold reality, abruptly exposing him to a bitter, freezing wind and forcing him awake.

He realized that relationships between Female Zergs were ultimately not accepted by society at large.

At the very least, the military would not accept them.

Lucas felt despair.

Felix had never seen Lucas wearing an expression like this before. He looked as though his soul had left his body. Felix grew worried and desperately wanted to know what had happened.

Yet when he asked, Lucas merely closed his eyes heavily for a moment, put away the light screen, and refused to say anything. When Felix pressed him, Lucas only said it was "military classified."

What kind of classified information could make Lucas look this terrible?

Had the Zerg race been conquered by the Tianjia?

What kind of joke was that? They'd only been gone for three days. No matter how capable the Tianjia were, there was no way they could silently invade and conquer Zerg territory in such a short period.

Felix hovered anxiously around Lucas, desperate to know what had happened. He could sense that Lucas's attitude toward him had changed, and that worried him immensely.

Lucas had already changed into his military uniform and was preparing to leave. Throughout the entire process, his eyes remained lowered, and he didn't look at Felix again.

"Lucas!" Felix suddenly called out.

Lucas stopped when he heard him and silently waited for Felix to continue.

He knew how perceptive Felix was. Perhaps Felix had already noticed.

Lucas's lowered fingers dug into his palm, yet he seemed completely unaware of the pain.

Felix opened his mouth. Countless words reached his lips, but he had no idea what to say.

In the end, he still asked,

"You still haven't answered my question. Do you like Male Zergs or Female Zergs?"

I like you.

The words had already risen to Lucas's lips, but he swallowed them back down.

He knew what the answer in his heart was, just as he knew what the truly "correct answer" was—what he needed to say if he wanted Felix to give up on this relationship.

Lucas stared hollowly ahead and slowly said,

"I like... Male Zergs."

He turned his head and gave Felix a desolate smile.

"I'm sorry I've kept it from you all this time. Actually... I've always been a straight Female Zerg. I was before, and I still am."

"So everything that happened these past few days... just forget it. Don't take it to heart."

With that, Lucas resolutely turned and walked away, leaving Felix standing frozen where he was.

"...€€?"

Felix stared blankly at Lucas's retreating back.

That seemed to be the answer he'd wanted, but for some reason... it felt a little strange.

He'd been together with Lucas for so long while presenting himself as a military Female Zerg, yet Lucas was saying that he liked Male Zergs. That really was a little weird.

But if Lucas said he liked Female Zergs, that would be terrible too!

Both options seemed like dead ends. Felix himself didn't even know what answer he actually wanted.

Felix shook his head. If he couldn't figure it out, then he simply wouldn't think about it.

Given the current situation, Lucas liking Male Zergs was still better than Lucas liking Female Zergs, right?

If Lucas liked Female Zergs, wouldn't Felix's differentiation have been completely wasted?

It wasn't as though he could differentiate a second time. If that happened, he'd be stuck in the awkward position of pretending to be a Female Zerg for the rest of his life.

Whatever. Chasing after Lucas was more important.

Regardless of whether Lucas liked Male Zergs or Female Zergs, Felix was going to win Lucas over.

His heart wouldn't change.

Felix rubbed his face and hurried after him.
