I Was Caught up in a Hero Summoning, but That World Is at Peace

Chapter 2344: The Promised Tea Party ⑬

I had imagined all sorts of things about what a noble tea party might be like, but when it actually began, it turned out they weren’t doing anything particularly special. The impression I got was that it was basically just chatting while drinking tea.

Of course, normally I suppose there would be the sort of scheming unique to nobles, smiling as they talk while secretly probing each other’s thoughts or trying to keep the other in check, but this time, it really just felt like casual conversation.

[It’s quite a beautiful garden. The flowers are so colorful, but there are many I don’t recall seeing before.]

[The flowers in this villa’s garden are a little unusual. We use a special Barrier Magic to adjust things like air pressure, so we’re able to gather flowers that only bloom in high mountain regions.]

[Hehh~~ so does that include stuff like Sky Flowers then?]

[Ahh, no, cultivating Sky Flowers together with other plants is far too difficult. So they aren’t among these.]

Since she said the flowers were gathered from high mountain regions, I thought maybe Sky Flowers, which is the true body of Ariel-san, might be here, but apparently not…… As Eris-san answered me, Kuro added a little explanation.

[Sky Flowers only bloom around the summits of mountains that exceed 5,000 meters in elevation. It also has to do with the concentration of mana. They’re not the rarest thing in existence, but they are fairly uncommon. In the Demon Realm, they often grow in the southern mountains where Magnawell lives.]

[Hehh, now that you mention it, I do remember there being a lot of tall mountains where Magnawell-san lives.]

[Who knows, there might even be a few growing on Magnawell’s back. He meets the height requirements after all……]

Come to think of it, Magnawell-san’s body height alone is over 6,000 meters…… When I think of it that way, it really drives home how absurd his size is.

[Kaito-sama, do you often travel to the Demon Realm?]

[I do go often since I have many acquaintances there, but I wouldn’t say I travel around everywhere. At least, I have been to all the places where the Six Kings live.]

Cornelia-san asked me, and I thought a little before answering. It’s true that I often go to the Demon Realm, but not to tour sightseeing spots or travel widely. It’s usually to meet with the people I know, so the places I visit are rather limited.

Honestly, the place I’ve been to the most might actually be the Land of Death.

[What about the others, ever been to the Demon Realm?]

[I was fortunate enough to be invited to the first Six Kings Festival, so I participated then, but other than that, I’ve had very few opportunities to go.]

[I’m the same as Eris-sama, I’ve attended the Six Kings Festival once. Also, since my family’s company deals in magic tools, I’ve gone to Kuromu Lake a number of times.]

Eris-san and Cornelia-san answered my question, but one word in their replies caught my attention.

[……Kuromu Lake?]

[It’s the name of a town near my home.]

[Oh, so that town is called Kuromu Lake? Sounds like it was named after Kuro.]

[Seems so. At some point, everyone just started calling it that.]

Kuro answered my question with a slightly embarrassed smile.

So the town near Kuro’s castle, where her baby birds and their families live, is called Kuromu Lake…… Come to think of it, I’ve been there many times, but I don’t recall ever hearing its name.

You’d think I would have seen it on a signboard or something, but now that I think about it, I usually head straight for Kuro’s castle and don’t spend much time in the town itself…… Maybe only when I went around with Sieg-san. I should take my time to look around properly next time.

[I’ve never been there myself. Even if my family were invited to some event, as the fourth daughter, I’d almost certainly never be the one to attend.]

[Fumu, I don’t know much about noble customs, so I’m sorry if this is a silly question, but when it comes to those sorts of invitations, parties and events, does that usually mean the eldest son or daughter goes?]

[There isn’t a strict rule, but generally the heir would attend. Since social gatherings are also about building connections, it’s best for the successor to be present. That said, sometimes someone other than the heir is brought along under the pretext of seeking a marriage arrangement. Wealthier families can afford to bring several children at once. In my family’s case, though, we’re a small-time household with little money and too many children, so there’s simply no room for me, the fourth daughter, to attend such parties. I was only brought along a few times, just so I could gain a bit of experience in social settings.]

[I see, being a noble sounds pretty tough in its own way.]

Marie-san, who had said this tea party was her first, also seemed not to have attended many parties at all. Indeed, being the fourth daughter meant she had at least three older sisters, and probably brothers too. It makes sense they couldn’t possibly bring every child to every event……

On top of that, there must be all sorts of delicate power balances among the nobility that complicate things further. It’s definitely not simple.

……Ah, but if it’s a party I’m the one hosting, then there’s no problem inviting her. Just like with the ship party before…… maybe it would be nice to host another one at some point.

The Stomachache Handler of the Divine Realm. The Flat Warrior tormented by her (big-breasted) boss and (big-breasted ×2) colleagues…… or at least she was, but the main source of her troubles, Fate, has improved her behavior thanks to Kaito’s influence, so Chronois’ opportunities for stomachaches have decreased overall.

However, if she does end up suffering, the cause is almost always Shiro, meaning that when the stomachache hits, it’s a heavy blow…… Incidentally, Lilia is usually dragged into it every time.

Stomachache Power: ★★

Draw Power: ★★

Endurance: ★★★

Pitifulness: ★★★★

Stomach Medicine Consumption: ★

Rate of Causing Stomachaches: ★★★★

The Stomachache Handler of the Demon Realm. The main sources of her suffering used to be Isis or Megiddo, but since Isis has grown greatly on a mental level, the one who mostly gives her headaches now is Megiddo.

Normally gentle and kindhearted, she tends to snap at Megiddo, showing just how much trouble she constantly causes her.

That said, as one of the Six Kings and a powerful authority herself, she can also be the one to cause stomachaches, making her a double-edged figure.

In the end, as long as Megiddo stays quiet, she rarely suffers, so her stomachache power is on the lower side…… Still, when things do involve Megiddo, Lilia usually gets dragged in as well.
