"You aren't planning to take this potion yourself, are you? It clearly doesn't fit your ability system," Murong Mengli reminded him.

Su Mu nodded. "I know."

"That's good. If you're giving it to Yang Dongqing, remember this: you must wait until he has fully digested Heart of Steel before he takes it. A person's mind is like a stomach. If you eat again before digesting what's already there, it will burst."

A strange look crossed Su Mu's face. Give it to Yang Dongqing? What makes you think our relationship is anywhere near that good?

"Get some rest. I have matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave."

With that, Murong Mengli hurried off. She seemed busy with something important.

Su Mu carefully examined the potions in front of him. They were all different colors, but each bore a label, so he didn't have to worry about taking the wrong one.

"The nobles really do have power," he muttered, feeling a little emotional. Back when he first tried to reach the Transcendent Tier, he had gone to immense effort—tricking and deceiving Yang Dongqing, then ultimately taking a trip into the Nightmare World—just to acquire transcendent power.

Yet Murong Mengli, a noble lady, had casually produced a Great Force Bombardment Punch transcendent potion in a matter of days.

And this was only the influence of an illegitimate noble daughter.

"It seems that when I kill Murong Yun and Qian Zihao later, I can't forget to harvest their estates," Su Mu said casually. He popped open the Great Force Bombardment Punch transcendent potion and downed it in one gulp.

As for his mind bursting?

Impossible.

Spicy!

Scaldingly spicy!

It was like chugging boiling beef tallow hotpot broth.

A scorching current surged within Su Mu and rapidly spread throughout his body. In an instant, his pale skin turned burning hot and flushed red, as if a raging fire were blazing inside him.

Simultaneously, his consciousness elevated endlessly, seemingly breaking through some sort of barrier. Once again, he beheld the Bronze Law—omnipresent and hidden within the boundless dimensions. At a specific node within this massive web, a star cast down its light.

He had connected to the Bronze Law, Great Force Bombardment Punch!

A powerful surge of strength rushed over him like a tidal wave. Su Mu could clearly feel his muscles bulging and his physical power skyrocketing. Violent energy saturated every bone and limb in his body.

His muscles continued to swell, faintly trending toward the massive bulk of Tie Feng. He looked as if he had transformed from a frail scholar into a heavyweight bodybuilder in an instant. But immediately after, the Immaculate Heart took effect. A flawless white light flooded his entire body, and the bloated muscles rapidly shrank at a visible rate, as if all impurities were being purged away.

A moment later, Su Mu returned to his original state. His frame was still tall and lean, but beneath his clothes, his once-frail body now sported streamlined, defined muscles. Every inch contained explosive power.

Phew.

Su Mu released a long breath, a crystalline blue light faintly glinting in his eyes behind the Tinted Glasses. "So this is what power feels like? The enhancement of physical strength really is the most direct."

"However, now that I have gathered three Bronze Laws, doesn't that mean I can start preparing to advance to Silver? I've heard that three Bronze Laws from different systems can't be used to advance. Supposedly, it causes a mental collapse. Interesting. I'll give it a try when the time comes."

With the physical enhancement brought by the Great Force Bombardment Punch, he finally didn't have to worry about his spiritual strength growing endlessly for the time being. He could live a little longer now—at least long enough to see the new year.

He slowly got up from the hospital bed and lightly stretched. His previously heavily injured body had already fully recovered, partly thanks to the Vitality Potion, and partly due to the Great Force Bombardment Punch.

He shook his head, suddenly feeling a swelling ache in his brain, as if it had been stuffed full.

"Is my mind maxed out?" Su Mu frowned slightly. "It seems that with my current spiritual strength, I can only accommodate three undigested Bronze Laws at the same time."

He didn't pay it too much mind. The swelling would only last for today; once his spiritual strength increased again tomorrow, the pressure would fade.

...

...

"Mengli, it's been a while. Your beauty has truly grown even more captivating. Hurry and have a taste. This is a Luminous Scale Fish I spent a fortune to procure from the Sea of Extreme Frost. The meat is fresh and tender, melting right in your mouth. Every gram is worth its weight in Mithril. Only a delicacy like this is worthy of your beauty."

Qian Zihao, weighing over three hundred jin, wore a face plastered with a fawning smile. His small eyes, almost squeezed completely shut by folds of fat, stared unabashedly at Murong Mengli sitting across from him.

Murong Mengli's face was as cold as ice. She didn't touch her chopsticks, instead saying bluntly, "Qian Zihao, withdraw your people from around the Bronze Coffin immediately."

Qian Zihao's smile didn't waver. "I can't do that. You're my fiancée. What if some blind fool offends you? This is necessary protection."

"Protection?" Murong Mengli sneered. "There isn't a single person in the Chiyan Empire who would dare lay a hand on a noble. Drop the hypocrisy. You were behind what happened in the Abandoned District, weren't you?"

Qian Zihao paused slightly. "What Abandoned District? I don't know what you're talking about. Mengli, have you run into some trouble recently? Tell me. In my one mu and three fen of land here in Star City, there's nothing I, Qian Zihao, can't settle."

As he spoke, he reached out his fat-laden hand, intending to grab Murong Mengli's.

Undisguised disgust flashed through Murong Mengli's eyes. She immediately stood up and pulled away.

"Qian Zihao, given your relationship with Murong Yun, even if you didn't do it yourself, you are definitely involved. Withdraw your men immediately. And if you dare target anyone from my company again, don't blame me for being ruthless."

Qian Zihao's smile slowly faded. "Your company's people? Are you talking about that lowly peasant from the Lower District... what was his name—Su Mu, right?"

"Not just Su Mu. You are not to touch anyone from the Bronze Coffin."

"Mengli, you've truly misunderstood me. Who in Star City doesn't know that I, Qian Zihao, have always done things fair and square? The Bronze Coffin is your company, which means it's essentially my company. Why would I move against my own business?

"But suppose—just suppose—I really did do it. What could you do about it?"

Murong Mengli's expression grew even frostier, seething with a trace of killing intent. Her cold voice carried absolute resolve. "Then you can look forward to receiving a corpse on our wedding day."

With that, she turned on her heel and left. The sharp clicks of her exquisite high heels striking the floor gradually faded into the distance.

Qian Zihao narrowed his small eyes, staring intently at Murong Mengli's slender, sexy back. The half-exposed, snow-white calves peeking out from beneath her coat relentlessly tugged at his mind.

Sss!

He craned his neck toward where Murong Mengli had just been sitting and took a deep sniff. The woman's faint fragrance mingled with the meaty aroma of the Luminous Scale Fish, drifting into his nostrils and causing his mouth to water incessantly.

Reaching out with his large hand, he grabbed the entire Luminous Scale Fish right off the plate, not caring in the least about the broth dripping down his thick fingers. He shoved the whole fish into his mouth and chewed heartily.

A short while later, Han Yu appeared behind him and asked respectfully, "President Qian, should we pull our men back?"
