I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World
Chapter 86: If You Have Seen Through My Illusion Technique, I Actually Know a Little Hand-to-Hand Combat
Crack, crack, crack...
The screech of grinding steel grated from Tie Feng's mouth; he was clenching his jaw so hard he nearly shattered his own teeth.
The situation had completely reversed. Now, everyone's hostility was pointed squarely at Su Mu.
Yang Dongqing realized things were looking grim. He naturally stood on Su Mu's side, but the two had been forcibly divided into the angel and demon factions. They were now life-and-death enemies, a fact that made him hesitate.
"Kill him!" Tie Feng roared, his face livid. He charged toward the center of the Land of Sacrifice like a human tank.
Xie Quan transformed into a werewolf and dropped to all fours, following closely behind. The man with the chains followed suit. Murderous rage flashed across all three of their faces.
Only Yang Dongqing and Jun Wushang hesitated.
"Brother Yang, what do we do? Brother Su is from the same company as us, after all. I..."
"Su Mu, run!" Yang Dongqing suddenly roared, stepping forward to block the others.
Jun Wushang froze. He hadn't expected Yang Dongqing to actually side with Su Mu. After all, only one faction—angels or demons—could survive."Kid, you dare betray us?" Tie Feng's killing intent boiled over. He didn't hold back in the slightest against the charging Yang Dongqing.
The muscles in his right arm ballooned, swelling thicker than an adult man's thigh. The bulging sinews were stark and rigid, packed with terrifying power. His eyes turned cold as he violently threw his right fist. The blow tore through the air, producing a sharp, explosive crack.
"Don't kill him," Xie Quan suddenly called out.
Out of trust for Xie Quan, Tie Feng shifted his fist's trajectory in midair, aiming for Yang Dongqing's chest instead of his head. Yang Dongqing's arms flashed with a metallic sheen as he tried to block the punch, but the gap between Bronze 1 and Bronze 3 was simply too massive. His prized body of steel folded like paper against the strike.
Crack!
His defending arms snapped instantly. The terrifying force drove straight through his shattered limbs and caved in his chest. Yang Dongqing was sent flying uncontrollably, blood spurting from his mouth.
That single punch left him severely injured.
"Why can't I kill him?" Tie Feng demanded, his anger lingering.
"Killing a Demon Believer will benefit the angels. Right now, Su Mu's strength is unknown—we can't let him recover from his burns!" Xie Quan's expression was icy. "Kill Su Mu first. Don't complicate things."
The two exchanged a glance, then charged straight at Su Mu.
Soon, all three attackers reached the center of the Land of Sacrifice. They formed a triangle, trapping Su Mu firmly within their encirclement.
"You really played us, Su!" Covered in scars, Tie Feng glared murderously at Su Mu. As for the balding man hiding in the corner, they completely ignored him.
Surrounded by three Transcendents, Su Mu didn't panic in the slightest. Instead, he offered a faint smile. "How can the affairs of Transcendents be called deceit? You're clearly just too stupid. You have no one to blame but yourselves."
The three were instantly enraged. They hadn't expected Su Mu to still act so arrogant even after his cover was blown. But it was exactly this attitude that made them hesitate to act rashly. None of them knew Su Mu's true strength.
If what he said earlier about being Bronze 3 was true, it meant that on top of his visual Illusion Technique, he was hiding two other abilities.
"Su Mu, there's no need to bluff. If we don't kill you, we're all as good as dead anyway, so you aren't scaring anyone." Xie Quan's small eyes glinted with cold light. At some point, his hands had transformed into a pair of tiger claws.
Su Mu's smile only deepened at the threat. "Now this is interesting. Actually, I was genuinely worried that you were all idiots—that you would keep slaughtering each other until you died without ever realizing the truth. I didn't expect you to figure it out after just one death. Come on, then. Attack me together."
The men exchanged glances. Though they were wary, in the face of life and death, no one cared about fighting fair. They charged him together.
"Do it!"
Tie Feng took the lead. His legs suddenly exploded with force, instantly shattering the ground beneath him. He vaulted into the air, hurtling toward Su Mu like an artillery shell. At the exact same moment, a magma chain lashed out in the blink of an eye.
Facing their pincer attack, Su Mu made no move to defend himself. However, right as their attacks landed, his figure dissipated inch by inch like a phantom bubble.
"Illusion Technique!" Tie Feng cried out in alarm, realizing just how bizarre Su Mu's methods were.
Right then, Xie Quan—who hadn't yet attacked—let out a cold sneer. His tiger claws tore through the air, lunging straight toward the space behind a stone pillar.
A figure in black lightly vaulted out, dodging the deadly claws.
"Su Mu, your Illusion Technique might fool them, but it can't fool me!" A smug glint flashed in Xie Quan's eyes. "The sound of your footsteps betrayed you the moment you moved!"
"You two, listen to my commands! Don't trust your own eyes—I'll point out his location for you."
Once again surrounded, Su Mu remained completely unfazed. He adjusted the Tinted Glasses on his face and said indifferently, "You three don't actually think I'm only good at the Illusion Technique, do you?"
A flicker of caution crossed the trio's faces, but none of them backed down. They continued to press in step by step, steadily tightening their encirclement.
Su Mu gave a faint smile. "If you have all seen through my Illusion Technique, I actually know a little hand-to-hand combat."
Then, just as he had done before, he raised a single finger and slowly pointed toward the sky. Instantly, the weather violently shifted. Massive, dark clouds coalesced out of thin air, shrouding the entire Land of Sacrifice. The sky... turned black.
Seeing him repeat the same old trick, Xie Quan looked even more smug. "Heh, you're at the end of your rope. The humidity hasn't changed, and there is no airflow. Stop embarrassing yourself with this fake Illusion Technique."
"Illusion Technique?" Su Mu's lips curled up, a trace of mockery flashing across his face. "Death is staring you in the face and you don't even know it. Shadow Summoning: Demonic Descent!"
Shadow Summoning?! The others were startled. Was this Su Mu's other Bronze Law? Why had they never heard of it? Was it some hidden Law?
"Xie Quan! Behind you!" Tie Feng suddenly roared in panic.
Xie Quan whipped his head around. Unbeknownst to him, a humanoid monster over two meters tall had stepped out from the darkness behind him. Its entire body was composed of shadow. Emaciated like a mummified corpse, its elongated arms dangled all the way to the ground. Where its face should have been, a pair of blood-red eyes snapped open!
Xie Quan flinched in shock, but he recovered in an instant and sneered. "No footsteps, and no scent. It's just a mere Illusion Technique."
However, what he didn't realize was that a shadow inherently had neither footsteps nor a scent.
Thus, he completely ignored the dark silhouette looming behind him. Instead, he looked at Su Mu, his face full of mockery. "It seems you really are out of tricks. Then die!"
Just as he prepared to strike, his vision suddenly went black. The humanoid shadow had stretched out its withered arm, its five fingers spreading out like gnarled branches. It bowed at the waist, resembling a gentleman offering an invitation to dance.
"Hmph." Xie Quan paid it no heed whatsoever. He marched forward, intending to pass right through the dark figure, only to be met with... Thud!
Xie Quan froze in his tracks. He stared at the dark, shadowy arm blocking his path as a pain akin to slamming face-first into a tree trunk radiated from his forehead.
Instantly, his expression contorted. An uncontrollable terror pierced straight to his core. "This isn't an illu—"
