Wuming's expression was a fascinating mix of shock, anger, and reluctance... everything but regret.

Staring at Su Mu, who radiated the oppressive aura of a God, Wuming's expression slowly settled into a dead calm.

"I have lost... but!" He abruptly raised his head, his eyes filling with dense bloodshot veins. "You haven't won yet!"

"You've only just completed the Xuantian Origin. You haven't had time to fully become a God. As long as I kill you before that happens... kill you..."

"Can you do that?" Su Mu smiled.

Boom!

Above the firmament, the Three Thousand Laws flashed simultaneously. The power of Law rained down in every color like a brilliant meteor shower, instantly swallowing Su Mu.

Despite landing the blow, Wuming showed no hint of joy. Instead, he instantly teleported thousands of miles away.

He knew very well that this strike couldn't possibly kill Su Mu.

"I certainly can't do it alone... but we can!"

Wuming shouted, and the void behind him tore open into ten bottomless rifts.

Ten figures slowly stepped out. It was the members of the Temple of God Slaying: Huangquan, Warrior Monk, Flame Lord, Yong Ji, Original Sin...

Ten Demigods descended. Their terrifying, oppressive aura made the Twisted Divine Domain tremble.

At that moment, Su Mu walked out from the torrent of Law completely unscathed. He looked at the eleven Demigods of the Temple of God Slaying, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

He knew every single one of them. After all, he had worked in the Temple of God Slaying for over a decade. How could he not recognize his own "colleagues"?

It was just a pity that his former colleagues were now his enemies.

"Kill him!" Wuming barked out the order, and the ten Demigods instantly materialized around Su Mu.

They unleashed their true Demigod forms, transforming into ten towering giants as they charged at Su Mu.

Divine power surged around Su Mu as he clashed head-on with them.

Meanwhile, Wuming seemed to be preparing something. He clasped his hands together and chanted, resonating with the Three Thousand Laws in the firmament.

Gradually, dense clusters of illusory figures emerged upon every Star of Law. These were the transcendents linked to those very Laws.

The figures roared in agony as Wuming madly siphoned their power.

None of these transcendents could have ever imagined that the Laws they had exhausted themselves to connect with would suddenly become the tools to claim their lives.

"The Law really is poisonous," Su Mu's lamenting voice echoed right behind Wuming.

Shocked, Wuming snapped his head around in disbelief. There stood that elegant figure in a tailcoat, quietly watching him.

The most bizarre part was that, in the distance, Su Mu's battle against the ten Demigods was still raging on.

"An Illusion Technique! Damn it, when did you cast an Illusion Technique on them!?" Wuming suddenly realized the truth. The members of the Temple of God Slaying had been ensnared by an Illusion Technique; their fierce battle was nothing but a fight against phantoms.

Su Mu shook his head. "You're wrong. They aren't the ones trapped by the Illusion Technique. It's... you."

Snap!

He snapped his fingers, and the ten Demigods immediately vanished like smoke. Their towering true forms and the torrents of energy filling the void vanished without a trace, as if none of it had ever happened.

Wuming's pupils constricted. He finally realized that he was the one caught in the Illusion Technique. The ten Demigods had never appeared in the first place.

He quickly looked up at the Three Thousand Laws, only to see the countless figures upon the Stars of Law fading away as well.

It turned out... everything had been fake.

"Remember this in your next life: when facing an illusion master, your mind must remain absolutely still. Even the slightest ripple of emotion will be a fatal flaw."

Su Mu whispered right beside Wuming's ear, like the murmur of a devil.

"You..." Wuming's voice cut off abruptly. A flash of crystal-blue light bloomed in his pupils. It blossomed outward, magnificent as a flower, but vanished in an instant.

The moment the flower withered, his eyes grew hollow and his consciousness scattered.

A second later, Wuming's body shattered into countless tiny crystal-blue ice shards that scattered in the wind.

Su Mu watched the ice shards drift across the sky, their countless reflections streaking across his eyes like a meteor shower.

He stood there in silence for a long time before letting out a soft sigh. "Life really is boring."

A deep sense of emptiness and loneliness washed over him. He had no opponents left. Gods were dead, the strongest Demigod was dead, and he had finally gathered the complete Xuantian Origin. He was on the verge of becoming a God.

Yet, he felt no joy in his heart—only an endless void.

...

...

Illusion Ash Realm.

"And then? Then Wuming, the scheming master of the Temple of God Slaying, just died?"

At the dining table, King Chi stared at Su Mu with wide, unblinking eyes.

Around Su Mu, Nangong Mengli, Yang Dongqing, Duanmu Qing, and the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins were all gathered.

They were eating hotpot.

"Yeah, he died," Su Mu said plainly.

Bang!

King Chi slammed her hand on the table, startling everyone. "That bastard got off too easy!" she snapped. "Dying so simply like that."

"Brother Su, Wuming was a Demigod who controlled the Three Thousand Laws," Jun Wushang said in disbelief. "And you killed him in a single move?"

"Controlling the Three Thousand Laws ultimately doesn't make him a God."

"Then, Brother Su, now that you've fully fused the Xuantian Origin, have you become a God?"

"Yes," Su Mu nodded.

Everyone sized him up. Yang Dongqing asked curiously, "You don't look any different from before. Are Gods in human form too?"

Su Mu shook his head slightly. "That's because you're looking at my physical body right now. Strictly speaking, my true form is now an aggregate of all the dreams and illusions in the world."

Everyone stared at him in utter confusion, completely unable to comprehend this state of existence.

"Doesn't that mean that while you seem to be eating with us, you're actually appearing in everyone's dreams at the same time?" Nangong Mengli asked thoughtfully.

"You could understand it like that." Su Mu leaned back against his chair, gently swirling the red wine in his glass. His gaze drifted out the window and settled on the bright moon hanging high in the night sky.

The sky was thick with dark clouds, leaving the air slightly damp. The stars were obscured; only the bright moon remained.

One year later.

Su Mu looked at the White Jade Plate in his hands and muttered to himself, "I hope the Creator's Authority brings me some amusement."

Life had been far too boring since he became a God. The only amusement he could think of was fusing with the Creator's Authority to see the view above the Gods.

The White Jade Plate in his hands was precisely the Creator's Authority that he had just brought out from the Divine Dream World.

The Creator's Authority was formless—it took on whatever shape you believed it to be.

Su Mu preferred a White Jade Plate, so it became a White Jade Plate. It didn't look the least bit miraculous, yet it was something all Gods would drool over.

A crystal-blue light flashed in his eyes. The White Jade Plate vanished, melding into his soul.

In that moment, a very wondrous sensation washed over him. It was as if he had unlocked a God's-eye view, able to effortlessly see any corner of the world and any person.

It felt like true unity with the world, as if he were merging into heaven and earth.

This wondrous sensation completely defied description.

Su Mu's interest was finally piqued. The novel experience brought him an unprecedented feeling.

"You finally fused it," a calm voice echoed.

Su Mu looked toward the sound and saw a young man in a black robe.

This young man was none other than Wuming!
