"Leader!" Lin Canyang, always the most eager to advance, rushed over first and saluted excitedly.

"Leader, we didn't expect you to return so soon! You should have told us so we could line the path to welcome you."

Su Mu offered a silent smile and gestured for him to sit.

Lin Canyang hurriedly sat down, perching on the edge of his chair with his back ramrod straight.

The others quickly gathered around, everyone talking at once.

"Leader, you've finally returned! I don't want to be a King for another day."

"Are you alright?"

"What is Heaven like?"

Su Mu raised a hand to quiet the room. Once everyone was seated, he spoke slowly.

"Everyone, I have returned to resolve this world's crisis once and for all."

The room erupted in joy. No one had expected him to find a way to save the world so quickly.

"Only the Leader could find a solution in just a few short years!" Lin Canyang took the opportunity to flatter him.

"It seems your journey to Heaven went smoothly," Nangong Mengli said, watching Su Mu with a smile.

"Very smoothly," Su Mu agreed, narrowing his eyes. 'A little too smoothly,' he thought to himself.

He had expected searching for the Xuantian Origin in Heaven to be like finding a needle in a haystack. Instead, he barely had to look. Pieces of the Xuantian Origin had practically delivered themselves to his doorstep.

"Leader, what exactly is the solution?" Jun Wushang asked, unable to wait any longer.

Su Mu smiled gently. His deep gaze swept slowly over the crowd. "The solution is... going to Heaven."

Everyone froze.

"Heaven? You want us to go to Heaven?"

"Not just you, but everyone in this Dream World. I have already fused a portion of the Xuantian Origin, allowing me to better control the Dream World.

"My plan is to send all of you to Heaven. Because of the Nightmare Invasion, everyone in this world has inevitably been tainted by reality. Once I send all of you away, the Dream World's reality will drastically diminish. I will then be able to revert it entirely into an illusory dream.

"And all of you will become truly real people."

Su Mu laid out his plan. He was now essentially half of Xuan Tian. He could preliminarily wield the mighty power of the God of Nightmares, allowing him to extract the dream's inhabitants and turn them into real people.

Once that happened, the Dream World would fully dissipate back into an ethereal, formless dream.

The sheer scale of Su Mu's plan shocked everyone into silence. At their current realms, comprehending the mighty power of a god was near impossible. But they didn't need to understand it—they just had to follow his instructions.

At Su Mu's command, the members of the Seven Deadly Sins sprang into action, fanning out to rally the citizens of the empires and gather them together.

Su Mu's next step was straightforward: he absorbed the empires' citizens into his own dream, carrying them up to Heaven through the medium of dreams.

A few days later.

The populations of the Seven Great Empires were transferred in batches across Heaven's three great domains.

Specifically, they were placed in the Illusion Ash Realm, the Primal Desolation Realm, and the Dawn Domain—all secretly under Su Mu's control.

Once the populace was settled, he handed over the Divine Corpses he had collected but had no use for to the Seven Deadly Sins. This would allow them to better control their respective realms.

Finally, he spent another several days inside the Dream Time Chamber completing the puzzle of the Fallen Sin Maitreya before returning to the Temple of God Slaying.

...

...

"Are you ready?" Wuming asked.

"Yeah." Su Mu nodded.

"Good. Let's go. I hope you succeed in erasing the Primal Angel's consciousness."

'He repeated it again...' Su Mu's eyes flickered as he considered this. Wuming was a man of few words, a fact made obvious by the Warrior Monk's descriptions.

The Warrior Monk had even joked that Wuming only knew how to say three sentences in total. Yet, when it came to erasing the Primal Angel's consciousness, Wuming had repeated himself more than three times...

At that moment, Wuming tore open a spatial rift and stepped inside.

Su Mu quickly followed, and the two arrived in the heart of the Primal Divine Domain.

Where a hundred thousand believers of the Primal Divine Cult had once offered up their pious prayers, the domain now sat completely empty.

Those hundred thousand corpses had long since been melted down by divine power, leaving not a single speck of ash behind.

The only thing left in this vast, desolate divine domain was the Primal Angel, hanging in the sky like an eternal, blazing sun.

"Do you need me to stand guard?" Wuming asked.

Su Mu shook his head. "The Primal Divine Cult has been wiped out. It's safe here. Erasing a god's consciousness is bound to be a painfully long process. Rather than wasting your time standing around, you'd be better off searching for the Xuantian Origin for me."

"Understood." Acting like an NPC that had just received a quest, Wuming turned to leave.

"Wait."

Wuming paused and looked calmly back at Su Mu.

"How did the Heavenly Venerate of Myriad Laws die?"

"During the war of the gods, he was besieged by the pantheon. Already severely wounded, he was then ambushed by Xuan Tian, draining the very last of his strength. Not long after Xuan Tian perished, the Heavenly Venerate of Myriad Laws also fell. The vast majority of his origin transformed into the Three Thousand Laws and returned to heaven and earth.

"I obtained a tiny fraction of that origin, which made me who I am today."

"In all these years, have you never considered gathering the Heavenly Venerate of Myriad Laws' origin to ascend as a god yourself?"

Wuming shook his head. "It wouldn't work. To ascend to godhood, I would have to refine the Three Thousand Laws. However, every Transcendent in the world is connected to those laws—they are essentially a part of them. Unless I slaughter every last Transcendent in the world, I can never ascend.

"But I will never do such a thing. Transcendents are the foundation that allows humanity to survive. Without them, the human race would face total extinction.

"Do you have any other questions?"

Su Mu suddenly chuckled, the meaning behind his smile inscrutable. "No, that's all."

"Alright." Wuming turned and left.

Su Mu shifted his gaze to the Primal Angel. This was the very first god he had encountered back in the Bronze Realm. Although he had only met a wisp of its Divinity, they were technically acquainted.

He hadn't expected that the first god he actually killed would be the Primal Angel as well.

"Fate truly is fickle."

The next moment, boundless crystalline blue light erupted from Su Mu's body, accompanied by a surging tide of spiritual power as vast as a galaxy.

In an instant, the Primal Angel was bathed in that crystalline blue glow.

He attempted to drive his spiritual power deep into the Primal Angel. To his surprise, this very first step kept him deadlocked for half a year.

Half a year passed in a flash. When he finally managed to invade the Primal Angel's interior, he sensed an unimaginably massive consciousness, as deep and boundless as the abyss.

It was a god's consciousness—the mind of the Primal Angel itself. The colossal entity was currently fast asleep, and his goal was to exploit that slumber to wipe its consciousness out of existence.

Thankfully, the angel was asleep. If this deity had been awake, there was absolutely no way he could have pulled this off.

Only upon making true contact with a god's consciousness did he realize just how titanic it really was. It completely transcended the limits of mortal minds. Compared to a human's consciousness, it was like... an entire planet!

This was Su Mu's first time attempting to use his Illusion Technique on a consciousness of this magnitude. If he hadn't assimilated nearly half of Xuan Tian's origin, his spiritual power wouldn't have even been qualified to blanket a god's mind.

Hum!

The crystalline blue spiritual power enveloped the Primal Angel's consciousness, slowly weaving an Illusion Technique explicitly designed for a god.
