I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 483: Who Put the Divine Corpse in My Mansion!?

  • Next Chapter

"You dare!" Illusion Ash roared, shocked and furious. He hadn't expected Dawn to attack his lair directly.

Crystal-blue light erupted from his eyes, and spiritual power as vast as an abyss roared out.

Bang!

The Lord of Dawn's body instantly exploded, shattering into a sky full of dancing petals.

The petals drifted on the wind, streaming toward the realm.

Illusion Ash tried to stop him again, but Yuanhuang charged over, pinning him down.

The swirling petals slammed relentlessly into the barrier of light shrouding the realm. Each impact annihilated a portion of the petals and sent ripples cascading across the shield.

Soldiers tried to stop the barrage, but the moment they drew near, the petals shredded them. Blood and flesh splattered in all directions, as if they were suffering death by a thousand cuts.

Fresh blood dyed the petals red, giving them a touch of lethal beauty.

After dozens of impacts, the barrier of light finally cracked. A single petal slipped through the tiny gap and fell into the realm.

The intruding petal flared with blinding light as the Lord of Dawn stepped out from within it. He immediately unleashed a barrage of attacks, wreaking havoc across the Illusion Ash Realm.

Endless trees and flowers erupted from the earth, reducing magnificent buildings to ruins in an instant.

His goal was not destruction, but to find the Divine Corpse!

Under normal circumstances, the Lord of Dawn would never find it, simply because the Divine Corpse wasn't in the Illusion Ash Realm at all.

But if circumstances weren't normal...

Deep within the Illusion Ash Realm, inside an unnoticed quiet room of the Holy Lord's Mansion, Su Mu silently appeared.

He brushed a hand over his face, instantly shifting his appearance to that of another person as his clothes morphed into a white robe.

Listening to the Lord of Dawn wreaking havoc outside, the corners of his lips curled into an unfathomable smile.

Su Mu sat cross-legged, took out the Flesh Lotus, and put on an act of refining it.

Seemingly by accident, a single wisp of the Merciful Holy Mother of Myriad Blossoms' aura leaked out.

That faint wisp of aura was like a tiny crumb of food left on the edge of a dining table in an enormous room—under the summer heat and the passage of time, it emitted a distinct trace of rot.

Humans couldn't smell it, but flies certainly could.

High in the air, the rampaging Lord of Dawn suddenly paused. His nose twitched slightly, and wild ecstasy filled his face.

"The Holy Mother's aura! I finally found it!"

With a sweep of his hand, a terrifying tide of energy surged toward the building hiding Su Mu.

Boom!!

The roof blew off and the walls collapsed in a massive shower of debris, revealing a panicked figure. In his hands was the Flesh Lotus!

He stared in panic at the Lord of Dawn, who had descended like a god. As their eyes met, an imperceptible flash of crystal blue swept through the depths of his gaze.

The Lord of Dawn's entire mind was focused on the Flesh Lotus; he completely missed the anomaly.

After locking eyes, the figure grabbed the Flesh Lotus and turned to run, fully revealing the aura of a Saint Grade Peak.

Saint Grade and Saint Lord—a difference of a single word, yet the actual gap in power was worlds apart.

The ecstatic Lord of Dawn closed the distance in an instant. Without even glancing at the figure, he casually waved a hand. Brilliant flowers blossomed in the void, instantly swallowing the person whole.

The Flesh Lotus tumbled down silently, caught firmly by a large hand.

Having lost and now regained the Divine Corpse, even the typically composed Lord of Dawn struggled to contain himself. He burst into wild laughter. "Hahaha... Illusion Ash! What else do you have to say for yourself!?"

Illusion Ash, currently locked in a fierce battle with Yuanhuang, froze on the spot.

"This... this is..."

"Caught red-handed! Let's see how you deny it now!"

Illusion Ash's expression drastically changed. "Who put the Divine Corpse in my mansion!?"

"At least you admit it's your mansion!" the Lord of Dawn mocked.

"It must be the mastermind pulling the strings! You two, stop this at once! We cannot fall for their trap!"

Illusion Ash looked as if the word 'wronged' was physically written across his face, but unfortunately, neither of them believed him.

"Dawn, keep searching! Fallen Sin Maitreya must be hiding nearby!" Yuanhuang roared anxiously. Seeing the Lord of Dawn reclaim his portion of the Divine Corpse while his own was still missing, how could he sit still?

The Lord of Dawn nodded and resumed tearing the realm apart, searching for Fallen Sin Maitreya.

Illusion Ash stared, his eyes splitting with rage. Watching the realm he had painstakingly built being ravaged like this made his heart bleed. But beneath the heartache was an even greater fury—not just toward the unseen mastermind, but toward Dawn and Yuanhuang.

These two were as stubborn and stupid as donkeys! He had explicitly told them the truth, yet they refused to believe him, allowing the mastermind to lead them entirely by the nose!

The sheer injustice of it all pushed his sanity to the brink of collapse.

"Stop!" Illusion Ash roared, surging forward to intercept him, but a towering, iron-like figure firmly blocked his path.

Yuanhuang stared at him with a mocking sneer. "Your opponent is me!"

"You idiot! Get out of my way!" Illusion Ash finally erupted. He had been holding back his full strength—not out of fear of Yuanhuang, but to stay on guard against the hidden mastermind.

If he consumed too much power or suffered an injury, the mastermind would simply swoop in to reap the spoils.

But now, he could no longer care about that. If he kept holding back, he wouldn't even have a home left.

Buzz!

A crystal-blue light flared wildly in his eyes. Yuanhuang, his eight arms raised high, instantly stiffened in place. His eyes glazed over—he had clearly fallen prey to an Illusion Technique.

Seizing the opening, Illusion Ash teleported directly in front of the Lord of Dawn. Flame God Strike!

A towering pillar of flames clashed against countless ferocious vines. The Lord of Dawn was forced back step after step, his abilities heavily countered by fire.

Fortunately, the Lord of Primal Desolation quickly broke free from the Illusion Technique and rejoined the fray.

The battle between the three Saint Lords erupted in full force. Facing a two-on-one fight, even with his dual divine powers, Illusion Ash was forced to tread carefully.

Meanwhile, the true mastermind, Su Mu, had long since slipped away from the battlefield.

He watched the conflict from afar, quietly enjoying the battle between the three Saint Lords as if watching a stage play.

After a long while, Su Mu's eyes narrowed slightly as he noticed something subtle.

Illusion Ash's strength was overwhelming. Even with Dawn and Yuanhuang joining forces, they couldn't take him down quickly.

On the surface, Illusion Ash seemed to be on the losing end, but Su Mu was absolutely certain: if the battle dragged on, Illusion Ash would win!

Others might not have noticed, but possessing the Xuantian Origin himself, Su Mu could see it clear as day. Illusion Ash was silently weaving an Illusion Technique into his attacks, quietly and imperceptibly invading the souls of Dawn and Yuanhuang.

The moment Illusion Ash finished setting up his Illusion Technique, those two would be doomed to lose.

And this was while Illusion Ash was still holding back to guard against a hidden mastermind. If he were to throw caution to the wind and fight with everything he had, he would win even faster.

"Sigh, it seems I can't count on these two pieces of trash. I'll just have to do it myself." Crystal-blue light flickered in Su Mu's eyes as the power of the nightmare silently radiated outward.

In an instant, thousands of miles away, Illusion Ash—who possessed the same origin of power—sensed it.

His expression sharply changed as he snapped his head toward Su Mu's direction.

A tall, slender figure dressed in a tailcoat came into view. The cold, smiling face of a Silver-White Mask reflected a faint gleam, and from behind that mask, a pair of identically crystal-blue eyes stared right back at him.
