I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World
Chapter 431: The Chilling Truth of the Land of Origin
When the Twelve Swords of Royal Power merged, they formed the ultimate state of the Sword of Royal Power.
The Artifacts of the Seven Kings each possessed their own wondrous uses, but the Sword of Royal Power stood unmatched in sheer offensive might. Just the sword qi radiating from its scabbard was enough to wound a Saint Grade expert—a testament to its terrifying power.
Of course, even the strongest artifact relied on its wielder's strength. The Sword of Royal Power could unleash greater destruction than the other artifacts partly because the Dragon King was the strongest among the Seven Kings.
"How do I fuse them?" Su Mu wondered. He took out the Kingship Scabbard to try it himself first. If that failed, he could always use Supreme Heaven to grant the wish.
He aimed the Kingship Scabbard at the Twelve Swords of Royal Power and poured his vast power into it.
Thrum!
The Kingship Scabbard erupted with a deafening hum as a dazzling golden light burst forth.
In response, the Twelve Swords of Royal Power resonated with the scabbard, their blades trembling.
Gradually, the Twelve Swords of Royal Power floated into the air. One by one, they transformed into streaks of flowing light and shot into the scabbard.
At the same time, the phantom of a golden sword steadily took shape within the scabbard. As the final blade returned to the scabbard, the golden phantom fully solidified.
Roar!
A faint yet world-shaking dragon's roar echoed from the void.
A crystalline blue light flashed through Su Mu's eyes. He instantly activated the Endless Demonic Sound to seal the roar away. This stifled the disturbance; otherwise, the cry would have reverberated across the entirety of Star City.
He looked down at the Sword of Royal Power. It looked as though it were cast from pure gold. A remarkably lifelike dragon head was carved into the hilt, its jaws clamped securely around the base of the blade.
Shing!
He drew the Sword of Royal Power. Its golden light blazed as brilliantly as the sun, instantly reducing everything around it to a dim, shadowy backdrop.
The blade was slender and elegant, much like an agile swimming dragon. Its central ridge rose slightly, perfectly resembling a dragon's spine.
The moment it left its sheath, an overbearing dragon's might pulsed outward, dominating heaven and earth.
A divinely forged blade, pulsing with awe-inspiring dragon's might!
Su Mu admired it for a moment before returning the Sword of Royal Power to its sheath. While this divine weapon was magnificent, he was far more focused on the Land of Origin.
He recalled the First Dragon King's words. Back then, the clash between the Seven Artifacts of Royal Authority during their battle had torn open the path to the Land of Origin.
He activated his mental power. In an instant, the Seven Artifacts of Royal Authority surged forth, floating right before his eyes.
These seven supreme divine weapons were so powerful that merely gathering them in one place caused the entire base to faintly tremble.
Su Mu frowned slightly. If the Artifacts of the Seven Kings collided here, it would undoubtedly trigger a massive catastrophe. He would be better off doing this in the Dream World.
With a single thought, his figure appeared in the endless space Above the White Mist.
The Artifacts of the Seven Kings orbited him like stars guarding the moon.
"Today, let me see exactly what secrets the Land of Origin is hiding. Open!"
At his command, the Artifacts of the Seven Kings instantly transformed into seven streaks of light and shot toward the horizon. Guided by his will, their true power erupted, sending pillars of multi-colored light soaring into the heavens.
Finally, these seven brilliant rays violently crashed into each other.
Boom—!!
An earth-shattering explosion ripped through the space Above the White Mist. Suddenly, a blindingly bright golden light cascaded from the heavens, cleaving the firmament in two like a divine arrow!
Su Mu froze slightly. He could physically feel his dream fracturing, sliced open by the combined might of the Artifacts of the Seven Kings.
He peered deep into the torn sky. Within that colossal rift stood a door—a pure, flawless door that appeared to be carved from solid white jade.
"The Land of Origin is... my dream?"
It finally clicked. Back then, the Mad King hadn't just taken something out of the Land of Origin; he had stolen the entire Land of Origin itself.
What lay behind that white jade door?
A slight smile touched the corners of Su Mu's lips. He loved the unknown; he loved surprises.
He floated up silently, drifting slowly toward the white jade door within the rift.
He stopped in front of the white jade door, reached out, and gave it a gentle push.
A burst of brilliant white light swallowed him.
...
...
When the white light dissipated, Su Mu finally got a clear look at the landscape inside the Land of Origin. A flicker of surprise emerged in his deep eyes.
Before entering, he had imagined many possibilities. What could possibly be hidden inside the Land of Origin?
Since this was a deity's dream, would he find a God slumbering inside, or perhaps some divine artifacts? Yet, absolutely nothing he had pictured was actually here.
Instead, it was just a clean, warm little room.
And sitting right in the center of the room, atop a simple desk, was an Old-Fashioned Computer!
Its white monitor was bulky and square, and its casing had slightly yellowed with age. It looked exactly like one of those archaic "antiques" they used to have in the school computer labs.
"A Computer? The Land of Origin is actually hiding a Computer?" Su Mu laughed silently. This surprise was quite substantial.
The monitor was currently on, displaying a black-and-white interface. It didn't even have color.
Su Mu walked slowly to the desk and sat down in the computer chair.
Ding!
The computer suddenly emitted a notification chime. A red exclamation mark lit up over a folder named 'Land of Origin'.
Su Mu grabbed the clunky old mouse and double-clicked the Land of Origin folder. A window immediately popped up, taking up half the screen.
It appeared to be a blurry pixel-art game. Inside the window was a small pixelated character wearing a black suit and glasses, sitting properly in front of an Old-Fashioned Computer made of pixels.
The pixel character was moving its mouse. It seemed to open a folder on its own computer, bringing up another window. But because the image was too heavily pixelated, Su Mu couldn't make out what was on the character's screen at all.
"Is this... me?" Su Mu murmured, feeling a profound sense of novelty and astonishment. Even though he couldn't decipher what was on the computer screen within the computer screen, he could already guess what it was.
He slowly stood up. The pixelated figure on the monitor also stood up, mirroring his movements as he paced around the room.
"I know this world is fake, but isn't this taking it a bit too far? What is all this, just computer programs?" Su Mu chuckled in disbelief.
He returned to his seat. After thinking for a moment, he used the mouse to double-click on the little pixel character.
Ding!
A folder named 'Su Mu' sprang open.
Opening it revealed a cascading flow of code made up of countless mysterious characters. Endless streams of code constantly refreshed and surged down the window.
Although Su Mu knew nothing about programming, he could tell this code was completely different from what you would find on a normal computer. It was composed of countless tiny, incomprehensible, and mysterious symbols.
He closed the 'Su Mu' folder, then closed the 'Land of Origin' folder, turning his attention to the computer's desktop.
The desktop was incredibly sparse. There was a trash-can-shaped Recycle Bin, a 'My Computer' icon, and a single folder labeled 'World'.
He double-clicked the 'World' folder, only for a densely packed swarm of sub-folders to fill the screen.
Environment, Terrain, Weather, Parameters, Characters, Culture, History...
"Do these folders make up the entire outside world?"
He clicked into the 'Characters' folder. Rows upon rows of folders, each titled with a person's name, filled his vision. There were far too many names, and he didn't recognize almost any of them.
If his guess was right, then the names of absolutely everyone should be inside.
In other words, behind every single folder was a living, breathing person who existed in this fabricated world.
