Chapter 425: Gathering the Artifacts of the Seven Kings

Roar!!

The terrifying roar shattered the cloud cover. Visible sound waves rippled outward like water, whipping up a fierce gale.

The Giant Demon seemed to have recovered its senses. Its brutal eyes locked onto the Seven Kings before it charged at them.

"Kill!" the Dragon King roared. He charged ahead of the rest, muscles bulging beneath fine golden dragon scales. He looked ready to vent all his fury toward Wrath onto the Giant Demon.

And then... bang!

A single punch from the Giant Demon sent the Dragon King flying back.

"Don't clash with it head-on! The Giant Demon obviously excels in brute strength!" The Saint King unleashed the Left Hand of God. Countless chains of order wove together in the void, securely binding the creature.

After numerous joint attacks, the Seven Kings had developed a rudimentary synergy. Seeing the opportunity, the Heavenly King drew his bow. An arrow of condensed starlight flashed like a meteor, instantly piercing the Giant Demon's massive frame.

The others' attacks struck at the exact same moment.

Struck from all sides, the Giant Demon roared again and again. Its injuries did nothing to slow its movements; instead, as its fury mounted, the power it unleashed grew even stronger.

"I can't hold it!" Veins bulged on the Saint King's face as the chains extending from the Left Hand of God abruptly snapped. The powerful backlash forced a muffled groan from his throat, driving him back several steps.

Lurching forward with its massive body, the Giant Demon charged the group like a bloodthirsty beast. It clashed fiercely with the Seven Kings, a fearless monster that only grew stronger the longer it fought.

Watching silently in the shadows, Su Mu realized that temporarily returning the Sword of Royal Power had definitely been the right choice. Otherwise, the Seven Kings really would have been wiped out.

The Giant Demon lacked any special abilities, but at this level, it was a classic case of one force subdues ten techniques.

The battle dragged on for over three hours before finally nearing its end.

By now, the Seven Kings cut a sorry figure, their bodies covered in wounds. The Giant Demon had also sustained heavy injuries, and its movements had grown sluggish.

They finally realized just how difficult the Giant Demon was to handle. While it lacked the devastating attack power of the Faceless Angel, it was simply too hard to kill. Its physical body seemed forged from the hardest material in the world—not only did it boast sky-high defense, but it also regenerated rapidly.

Off to the side, Su Mu was starting to feel drowsy. "It's finally ending."

Just as the Dragon King raised the Sword of Royal Power to deliver the finishing blow, the Giant Demon abruptly changed forms. Its crimson muscles shrank, and the black aura of malevolence winding around its body seeped straight into its flesh.

Gradually, the creature shrank down to a fraction of its former size, and its aura-infused skin turned a deep, inky black.

In this new form, the Giant Demon erupted with an oppressive aura that completely dwarfed its previous might.

The Seven Kings' expressions changed drastically. Even the Dragon King began to doubt whether he could kill it. But the arrow was already nocked and had to be loosed. With a thunderous roar, he unleashed every last ounce of his strength, raising the scabbard and swinging it down fiercely.

A dazzling arc of sword light erupted forward, arriving in an instant.

The Giant Demon immediately raised its lean, ink-black arms, crossing them over its chest to firmly block the strike.

Screech...

The sword light ground against the creature's iron-hard arms, producing a grating friction that set teeth on edge. The Giant Demon was forced backward uncontrollably. While the sword qi cleaved through the muscles of its arms, it wedged firmly against the bone, unable to break through.

Watching this unfold, Su Mu sighed and silently made a wish to lower the Giant Demon's defense.

Slash!

The sword qi sheared clean through the Giant Demon's arms. Continuing with unstoppable momentum, it crashed into its chest, ultimately bisecting the creature in two.

The Dragon King stared blankly at his own hands in mild astonishment. He had genuinely thought he couldn't kill the Giant Demon, but against all expectations, he had won.

"Was I... always this strong?"

Suddenly, his vision blurred. His hands were completely empty.

"My Sword of Royal Power!!" Catching sight of a figure flashing past, the Dragon King instantly exploded with rage.

"Since you're done with it, it's time to give it back," Su Mu said. Gripping the scabbard, he delivered a casual slash at the Saint King, who was attempting to mount a sneak attack from the side.

Slash!

Already at the end of his rope, the Saint King had his left hand cleaved clean off.

Su Mu caught the Left Hand of God in a flash and slipped it onto his own hand.

Right then, a long arrow of starlight tore through the air. As if expecting it, he swung his weapon once more, sending out a wave of sword light that utterly annihilated the projectile.

Upon obliterating the arrow, the wave of sword light abruptly scattered, splitting into hundreds of miniature blades of light that swept toward the remaining kings.

The Dragon King's eyes were splitting with rage. He couldn't believe his opponent was wielding the Sword of Royal Power with far more mastery than he did.

The King of Red Lotus deployed her Red Lotus Heaven-Seizing Gourd. A terrifying suction force directly swallowed up the sky full of sword qi. But in the brief window she spent absorbing the attack, Su Mu had already activated the Left Hand of God.

Countless chains of order unfurled from the void, securely binding the King of Red Lotus's voluptuous figure in the blink of an eye.

He rushed toward the King of Red Lotus. The others tried to intercept him, but in their wounded state, they were no match for Su Mu. Violent power poured out of him like a cascading celestial river, instantly sweeping away everyone in his path.

The King of Red Lotus's expression changed drastically. "Don't you dare—"

Thud!

A vicious kick to her lower abdomen shoved the words right back down her throat. The King of Red Lotus's eyes instantly rolled back in her head. The gourd slipped from her grasp and landed neatly into Su Mu's hands.

"Stop!" the Nether King roared. A fist clad in pitch-black armor hurtled fiercely toward him. Without even looking, Su Mu activated the Left Hand of God once more, conjuring several chains to lock the Nether King in place.

He then violently swung the chains, hurling the Nether King directly at the Undead King and the Dragon King as they tried to launch a sneak attack. The collision sent them all flying.

Su Mu shifted his gaze to King Chi nearby. Frightened, King Chi stumbled two steps backward. She knew she needed to put on an act, but she absolutely refused to take a senseless beating, especially since the Giant Demon had just pummeled her.

Thus, she hurriedly feigned a grave injury and collapsed to the ground.

Sighing at King Chi's clumsy acting, Su Mu didn't even turn his head as he raised the red gourd and aimed it behind him.

The gourd swallowed up several starlight arrows before instantly spitting them right back out, pinning the Heavenly King's body to a nearby rock face.

Amidst the Heavenly King's agonized screams, Su Mu took Starfall Heavenly Punishment from his hands.

With the Left Hand of God on his left hand and Supreme Heaven on his right, draped in the Scarlet Moon, gripping the Sword of Royal Power, carrying Starfall Heavenly Punishment on his back, and with the Red Lotus Heaven-Seizing Gourd slung at his waist, Su Mu slowly walked over to the Nether King.

"Will you take it off yourself, or should I help you?" he asked calmly.

The Nether King: "..."

The Nether King looked at his heavily wounded companions collapsed on the ground, then looked at Wrath, who was wearing six Royal Power Artifacts. Ultimately, he lowered his head in resignation.

"I'll... take it off myself."

Even though Yama of the Ten Halls possessed super defense and absolute adaptation, its greatest weakness was being restrained. Once bound, its wearer was basically a lamb waiting for slaughter.

Especially since he was already wounded. Breaking free from the Left Hand of God—especially when wielded by Wrath—was completely out of the question.
