I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World
Chapter 400: Even the Law Was Erased!?
Night Raven!?
Was this the head of Sanctuary?
The Seven Kings stared in shock at the Black Feather Cloak in the sky.
They had long suspected that the leader of Sanctuary—an organization daring enough to oppose the Seven Deadly Sins in the Nightmare World—had to be a God. Now, his sudden intervention offered a glimpse of that truth.
Erasing the emerging Evil Buddha with a single finger—if this level of power did not belong to a God, what else could it be?
Yet none of them had expected the head of Sanctuary to bear the codename Night Raven. A raven in the dark night? His subordinates were named after divine beasts like the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, and Qilin. How could the one leading them simply be a raven?
Did the name hold some special meaning? Or...
A pitch-black mask and a Silver-White Mask faced off high in the firmament. They seemed to be old acquaintances, their standoff carrying a profound sense of destiny.
"Pride, you do not belong here."
"Night Raven, you are overstepping your bounds."Their calm, indifferent voices intertwined in the air, causing the atmosphere to freeze.
Two unimaginable waves of pressure erupted violently. The winds howled, the clouds surged, and the colors of the world instantly shifted!
A bizarre red light flooded from Pride. Crimson as blood, it illuminated the heavens and earth as it swept out to erode Night Raven.
Night Raven did not move; his Black Feather Cloak simply fluttered in the wind. Then, a pitch-black light abruptly burst from him, staining the void an inky black.
The next moment, a bizarre spectacle unfolded before the crowd. The sky seemingly split in two—half black, half red. The materialized auras of the two supreme beings clashed in the firmament, drawing a stark dividing line across the heavens.
Thrum!!
An eerie thrumming echoed out. The ocean churned with furious waves, and the void trembled violently.
The Seven Kings watched in horror.
"What terrifying pressure! What is going on?" A flash of panic crossed the King of Red Lotus's glamorous face. "Isn't Pride just a phantom? Why is their power affecting reality? Did their true bodies descend?"
"No!" the Dragon King said solemnly, staring intently at the two god-like figures. "They haven't descended. They are fighting in an entirely different dimension!
What we are seeing now is merely a projection from that dimension."
"What!?" The others paled in shock.
"They are fighting in another dimension, yet their leaking auras alone are enough to stir the heavens and earth? Is this the true might of a God?" King Chi clenched her fists, her beautiful eyes filled with disbelief.
"If they were fighting here in reality, wouldn't a single strike be enough to destroy the world?"
The Nether King's words plunged everyone into a heavy silence. As the supreme experts standing at the very pinnacle of humanity, catching a sudden glimpse of a God's true power made them feel like mere mayflies staring up at the vast sky. It was a crushing sense of insignificance and powerlessness that they found incredibly difficult to accept.
However, an even greater shock was yet to come.
Suddenly, Pride moved.
He elegantly extended a single finger, gathering a point of crimson at its tip. The instant that crimson light appeared, the surrounding void was seemingly drained dry and began to collapse. Massive, dark voids ripped open across the sky as countless torrents of terrifying energy frantically rushed in from all directions, converging into the crimson dot on his fingertip.
"Let me see if you've grown at all over the past century. Crimson Star!"
That crimson dot shot forward like a blood-red star streaking across the firmament, trailing a long tail. Its terrifying power left the stars in the sky teetering, seemingly on the verge of falling.
Night Raven offered a silent response. He reached out and grasped at the pitch-black sky. Billions of threads of materialized darkness rained down, coalescing into a dancing black flame in his hand.
It was a flame composed entirely of darkness—the Night Flame!
Though it appeared to be nothing more than a tiny flame, it radiated a supreme pressure capable of suppressing eternity, plunging the ages into an endless night.
The moment the Night Flame and the Crimson Star collided in the sky, the entire world was plunged into a dead silence. It was not a true absence of sound, but rather that great sound is hard to hear, great form has no form.
The Seven Kings could no longer see or hear anything. Time and space seemed to have been stripped away; their eyes registered nothing but an endless void, and their ears heard nothing but dead silence.
Everything in the world had seemingly been wiped from existence.
Gradually, after an unknown stretch of time, traces of color finally bled back into the void before the Seven Kings' eyes. It formed an unimaginably massive "net" stretching across infinite dimensions.
Countless stars, forged from the rules of order, dotted every intersecting node of this "net." Yet these stars were teetering on the verge of collapse. Their light flickered erratically, like candles threatening to be snuffed out by the wind.
"This... this is the Law!!" the Dragon King cried out in shock, his eyes wide.
"Their casual strike almost erased the Law itself! How... how is this possible!?"
The seven Gold Kings stared like ignorant children, their eyes wide and their jaws slack as they gazed upon the crumbling Law. The shock surging through their hearts had reached an absolute peak. The sheer impact of the sight left them dizzy, their thoughts completely stalled.
Simply put, they were petrified.
If the Seven Kings were reacting this way, there was no need to mention the Transcendents and ordinary human soldiers present. The shock in their hearts was completely beyond words.
In their understanding, Transcendent power came from the Law. It was the fundamental source of strength for all Transcendents. Yet now, the mere aftershocks of the clash between Night Raven and Pride had nearly erased the Law. This was a level of power that completely shattered the limits of their imagination.
Soon, the shockwaves dissipated. The Law faded back into hiding, and everything slowly returned to peace.
High in the boundless firmament, only those two terrifying, seemingly eternal figures remained standing proudly.
The elegant tailcoat and the luxurious Black Feather Cloak swayed gently in the wind. It was as though the apocalyptic clash hadn't even been enough to dirty the hems of their clothes.
Was this their true strength? A clash in another dimension alone was enough to cause such a terrifying commotion...
The Seven Kings stared blankly up at the two beings. A trace of relief welled up in their hearts—they were thankful they hadn't gotten too close. Otherwise, just a stray wisp of that leaking aura would have likely crushed them into meat paste.
If the mastermind behind the scenes, Su Mu, knew what they were thinking, he would have burst out laughing. The one who should be rejoicing wasn't them—it was him.
If they had actually gotten closer, his cover would have been completely blown. They would have discovered that, despite how terrifying it looked, the clash contained absolutely no real destructive power.
Everything they had just witnessed was nothing more than a grand, fake illusion he had conjured up to deceive the heavens and earth using the Heaven-Deceiving Bagua.
The Seven Kings believed that the massive disturbance was merely the aftershocks of a battle in another dimension, but in reality, Su Mu had exhausted every last ounce of his strength to project his ultimate Illusion Technique into the Present World.
