I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 326: Dream Time Chamber

After the combat trials ended, the examiner came over to ask Su Mu for his opinion.

"Lord Count, did anyone in this batch of nightmare apostles catch your eye?"

Su Mu's gaze slowly swept over the crowd. Many nightmare apostles stared back with eager anticipation, hoping to be picked on the spot so they could join the First Squad and maybe secure a noble title for themselves.

However, Su Mu shook his head. "No. As it stands, they aren't qualified to join my team. We'll see how they perform in the follow-up tests."

The moment he said that, a few of the more powerful nightmare apostles scowled in dissatisfaction. They thought Su Mu was being far too arrogant. He was just a Silver Grade Nightmare Apostle like them—how dare he say they weren't qualified?

Even though they hadn't planned on joining his team in the first place, preferring to form their own, his outright dismissal felt like a personal insult. Human nature was always like this.

Of course, no matter how disgruntled they felt, none of them dared to voice it. Yang Dongqing's fate was still fresh in everyone's minds.

In truth, Su Mu wasn't being arrogant at all. He was simply stating a fact. There were indeed a few outstanding Silver Tier fighters among these nightmare apostles, but that was useless to him.

Who exactly made up his team?

King Chi's avatar, Su Qing; Lin Lingling, whose luck was maxed out; Yan Wu, who possessed infinite growth potential; and Lin Nanxing, who wielded conceptual abilities. As for himself, there was no need to even mention Pride, Head of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Seeing that Su Mu hadn't taken a liking to anyone, the examiner dismissed the nightmare apostles to go rest.

Su Mu naturally left the underground training ground as well. He turned and headed straight to his exclusive private training room to continue tempering the Follower of Strength.

Bang, bang, bang...

The metal training dummy deformed under his relentless strikes until it was completely scrapped. While waiting for the staff to bring in a replacement, Su Mu let out a soft sigh.

"Too slow."

He wasn't very satisfied with his training progress. His natural talent wasn't bad, otherwise he wouldn't have advanced to Silver so quickly. Even though various opportunities had played a part, his own aptitude had certainly contributed.

It was just that, having experienced an infinite boost to his spiritual power, his physical progression felt far too sluggish in comparison. Moreover, his upcoming expedition into the Nightmare World involved venturing into the Abyss—a place not even the First Red King had managed to escape. Boosting his strength was a matter of extreme urgency.

But physical improvement had no shortcuts. To completely digest the Follower of Strength, he could only rely on time to slowly grind it out.

"Lord Count, the new training dummy has been installed," a staff member said respectfully, wiping sweat from his brow.

"Alright, you may leave." Su Mu nodded, but he didn't immediately resume his training. Instead, he pondered a way to grow stronger faster.

Time in the dream realm could be adjusted, reaching a maximum ratio of one day to one year. If he could train within his dreams, his speed of improvement would skyrocket.

He couldn't do this before because the dream realm was ultimately an illusion. But now that he had devoured the Divinity of the Four Gods, his dreamscape had moved much closer to reality. Could he achieve training results similar to the real world in there?

At that thought, Su Mu unfurled his dreamscape. In an instant, the massive dream realm enveloped the entire Imperial Capital, as if two separate worlds had overlapped.

While his physical body appeared to remain in the training room, he had already entered the dream.

He tried channeling the Silver Law, Follower of Strength, and threw a punch at the dummy inside the training room.

Bang!

The dummy instantly warped, and the entire dreamscape began to shudder violently, as if the force of his punch was about to shatter it entirely.

Su Mu frowned slightly. "Even infused with more reality, the dream is still too fragile to withstand this level of exertion. Perhaps I can shrink the dreamscape, concentrating all that reality to forge a much more stable Dream World."

Rumble!

The Dream World quaked violently as the surrounding space collapsed inward. The dream grew smaller and smaller until it perfectly overlapped with just the training room.

This time, when Su Mu threw another punch, the Dream World didn't budge an inch. It was incredibly stable.

Following that, he unleashed the full power of his physical body, which only caused faint ripples to echo across the dreamscape. It wasn't until he drew the Void Devourer and tapped into power exceeding the Silver Tier that the Dream World finally began to collapse.

"It seems this compressed Dream World can only endure forces up to the Silver Tier. Still, for my current needs, that's more than enough."

The corners of Su Mu's mouth curled up. The success of this experiment meant he could now train, grow stronger, and digest his Silver Law entirely within his dreams.

He could absolutely forge a Time Chamber here. Not only for his own use, but for the other members of the Seven Deadly Sins, allowing them to accelerate their growth. That way, he could avoid the embarrassing situation where the fake Seven Deadly Sins were all Gold powerhouses, while the real Seven Deadly Sins were stuck at Silver.

Su Mu began to alter the flow of time within the Dream World, adjusting it to a ratio of one day to one year...

The next day.

Having completely digested the Follower of Strength Silver Law, Su Mu felt his newfound surge in strength and couldn't help but marvel at how broken the Dream Time Chamber was.

This speed of improvement was basically a cheat code. Training for a single day was equivalent to another person's entire year of cultivation. If that wasn't cheating, what was?

Of course, the Time Chamber did have one drawback: the user's lifespan flowed away simultaneously. Even though only a day passed in the outside world, the person inside genuinely burned away a year of their life.

However, to Su Mu, this flaw wasn't a flaw at all.

"It's time to advance to Silver 2." Su Mu took a step forward. The space around him instantly distorted, and his figure vanished.

...

...

Star City, District 13, Seven Deadly Sins Underground Base.

"Ah? Mr. Su, do you need them in such a hurry? It's only been a few days. I haven't finished brewing them yet," Duanmu Qing said apologetically.

Su Mu smiled warmly. "After today, you'll be able to brew them. And not just Demonic Heart Baleful Soul—you'll even be able to concoct Bloodshed Berserk and the Gold Law Potion, Giant Demon."

Duanmu Qing blinked in surprise. "Mr. Su, even though we have the materials for those Transcendent Potions in the warehouse, how could I possibly brew them all in a single day? Let alone one day, even a month wouldn't be enough."

"If a month isn't enough, what about a year?"

Before Duanmu Qing could even react, she was pulled into the Dream World.

A day later, Su Mu departed with three Transcendent Potions in hand: the Silver Law Potions Demonic Heart Baleful Soul and Bloodshed Berserk, along with the Gold Law Potion Giant Demon!

With this, his path to Gold was completely clear!

This was the fruit of half a year of grueling work by Duanmu Qing. Due to the increased difficulty of the brewing process and her lack of familiarity with it, she had failed many times during that period, wasting a considerable amount of Transcendent materials.

However, backed by the Blood Moon Treasury, wasting materials was the absolute last thing Su Mu worried about.
