I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World
Chapter 313: I Am the God of the New Era!
"What!?" His horror deepened. Staring into the pitch-black void, he could practically feel an indescribable pair of eyes gazing back at him from the other side.
Under that gaze, he felt fear for the very first time in his life!
It was the gaze of the Sea God!
With the blood flames no longer blocking the way, seawater poured out in a frenzy. But the water wasn't the most lethal part. Far deadlier were the children of the Sea God hidden in the depths, surging out along with the tide.
These creatures of Nightmare had stepped into the Real World!
"Come forth, undead sirens!" Su Mu smiled morbidly, as if about to witness a grand performance.
Like the conductor of an orchestra, he directed tens of thousands of undead sirens out of the black hole.
Their bodies were rotting, their bones exposed, and their forms covered in pitch-black tentacles. Their hollow eye sockets held no eyes at all!
Ten thousand, twenty thousand, thirty thousand... one hundred thousand!!
Seemingly endless, the undead sirens continued to emerge from the black hole alongside the crashing waves. What did it feel like to suddenly have an army of one hundred thousand surge into the Imperial Palace? It meant the once-spacious halls instantly became incredibly crowded.
Earlier, when the furious Undead King had rushed to the Blood Moon Treasury and leveled it with a single strike, the surrounding guards had long since died or fled.
As servants of the Imperial Palace, they naturally understood that the Undead King had a poor temper. This was especially true as he aged; his mental instability had only worsened, manifesting as extreme mood swings.
This was an unspoken rule known throughout the entire Imperial Palace. Any member of the Blood Clan who didn't know it was already dead.
Thus, the moment they saw the Undead King fly into a rage, they had hidden far away. Now, however, they had nowhere left to run. Seawater nearly submerged their legs as massive throngs of undead sirens charged at them through the rising tide.
In the eyes of the undead sirens, there was only Su Mu—this sea god's familiar—and... souls!
A melee erupted instantly. The Blood Clan members capable of serving in the Imperial Palace were naturally extraordinary in strength, and there was no shortage of the Gold Blood Clan among them. Against them, the undead sirens were as fragile as newborn babies.
However... after effortlessly tearing the undead sirens to shreds, they discovered that these "newborns" simply stood back up.
That wasn't even the most terrifying part. The worst of it was the sheer volume of seawater pouring in, carrying maddening murmurs that weakened the Blood Clan's already fragile souls even further.
They fought desperately, but the undead sirens only multiplied. Soon, enormous sea monsters standing ten to twenty meters tall began to crawl out of the black hole.
In just a few moments, the Imperial Palace was more than half submerged.
Su Mu stood tall amidst the churning water, surrounded by an endless army of undead sirens. They guarded him like pilgrims on a holy journey.
That was right—this was the trump card he had prepared for the Undead King!
Wasn't the Undead King unkillable? Then he would just use equally unkillable monsters against him. These creatures were cursed by the Sea God; unless one possessed the power of a God, they were utterly impossible to slay.
No matter how strong the Undead King was, he was ultimately not a God!
Think about it. If an entire ocean were dropped into the Blood Moon Imperial Palace... even a Gold King wouldn't be able to withstand it. After all, this was no ordinary ocean; this was a sea infused with the power of the Sea God.
Su Mu originally just wanted to rob the treasury and leave, but since the Undead King insisted on making him stay, he had no choice but to flood the Imperial Palace.
Ever since devouring the Twisted Divinity, he had gained the ability to open a passage between the Real World and the Nightmare World. This was his first time using it, directly connecting the Sea Kingdom nightmare to the Blood Moon Empire's Imperial Palace. He wanted these aloof and mighty Blood Clan members to get a good taste of a God's power.
The only thing that slightly surprised him was that when the passage opened, the Sea God in the ocean seemed exceptionally thrilled and was frantically invading the Real World.
The increasingly deafening murmurs carried by the seawater were proof enough. It was as if He wanted to dump the entire ocean into the Real World all at once. The more water surged in, the more of His power could descend, which in turn caused the undead sirens to grow steadily stronger.
Perhaps, once the entire sea poured through, the Sea God's true body would descend with it.
This couldn't help but remind Su Mu of the Celestial Sovereign of Longevity, as that entity had acted the exact same way. Why were Gods so obsessed with this place? Was it all because of his special dream?
Watching the Imperial Palace on the verge of being swallowed by the sea, the Undead King found his eyes splitting with rage. He struck out repeatedly, slaughtering tens of thousands of undead sirens with a single casual blow, but it was completely useless. A moment later, the fallen sirens simply resurrected from the seawater.
"Just what are these monsters!?" He exhausted every method at his disposal, but even when he burned the undead sirens' bodies to ash, they still came back to life.
This utterly unreasonable resurrection reminded him of himself. Once upon a time, his enemies had felt this exact same despair when facing him—they simply couldn't kill him. Now, it was his turn.
The Undead King knew very well that the monsters before him were incredibly weak. Even if he stood there and did nothing, they couldn't harm a single hair on his head. The problem was that while he could endure it, the Imperial Palace could not.
More importantly, he could feel the pair of eyes behind the black hole drawing closer and closer. The entity's descent was only a matter of time.
If a mere gaze could strike fear into him, a Gold King, then he already realized exactly what kind of existence was on the other side.
A God!!
Only a supreme God could strike fear into a king who reigned over the world like he did.
As the king of the Blood Moon Empire, his understanding of the Nightmare World naturally far exceeded that of ordinary Nightmare Apostles. He knew that Gods existed in the Nightmare World. It was just that there were very few descriptions of them, because Nightmare Apostles who laid eyes on a God usually died. Not even Gold-tier experts were an exception.
He knew Gods were strong. After all, they were forged by the collective nightmares of countless people over endless years. Yet, he never expected them to be this powerful.
No! He could absolutely not let a God descend. Otherwise, it wouldn't just be the Imperial Palace that was destroyed—the entire Blood Moon Empire would be ruined in an instant!
He couldn't begin to imagine the horrific consequences if such an entity were to descend upon the Blood Moon Empire.
The once-haughty Undead King, upon seeing a God, felt like a frog at the bottom of a well gazing at the moon, or a mayfly beholding the vast blue sky!
Right then, a disdainful laugh rang out from beneath the Silver-White Mask. "Watching your own Imperial Palace being destroyed and being utterly powerless to stop it—it doesn't feel too good, does it?
"Hahaha... so it turns out that even a King has times when he's completely powerless!"
Damn it!
Veins bulged on the Undead King's face as he roared in fury, "Pride! Just who are you!?"
Su Mu gazed at the Undead King mockingly, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "You were right about one thing. I really am no Gold King. I am... the God of the new era!"
