I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 246: Advancing to Silver 1, Follower of Strength

"My strength hasn't grown much, but I'm definitely getting harder to kill," Su Mu muttered to himself.

He had indeed already consumed the Bronze Sequence 200 Phantom Stroll potion. Naturally, he would never sell such a rare concoction. It didn't matter if it failed to fit his current ability system; his infinitely growing spiritual power could accommodate more Laws, leaving him with no fear of the soul damage typically caused by conflicting Laws.

The advantage of strong spiritual power lay not only in the capacity to hold more Laws, but also in the ability to digest them. Digesting a Law fundamentally meant merging it completely into the soul, and someone with robust spiritual power naturally accomplished this much faster.

"Did you say something, Mr. Su?" Duanmu Qing asked, turning around cautiously. Seeing that Su Mu had already dressed, she breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

"It's nothing. Is the Follower of Strength potion ready?"

"Mhm, it's ready." Duanmu Qing hurried over to the laboratory safe, entered the passcode to open it, and retrieved a vial of pale red potion.

Su Mu accepted the potion. "I have things to do. I'll be going now."

"Oh, alright, Mr. Su." A barely perceptible trace of disappointment flashed through Duanmu Qing's large eyes as she watched him leave.

After leaving, Su Mu headed straight for the new Vipers Gang Headquarters. Ever since Mu Cheng destroyed the old base, he had ordered his people to acquire a new plot of land and build a replacement. This new headquarters was even larger and far more imposing than the last.

He went to his own room, shut the door securely, and downed the Follower of Strength potion in a single gulp!

The transition from Bronze to Silver was a major hurdle. If consuming a Bronze Law potion carried a ninety-nine percent success rate, the odds of breaking through from Bronze to Silver dropped to a mere fifty percent.

From Silver to Gold, the chances were even lower: ten percent.

Under normal circumstances, out of ten Silver experts who drank their corresponding Gold Law potion, only one would successfully advance. A person who failed once could always try a second time, of course. The problem was that Gold Law potions were priceless!

In the current world, not even the Seven Great Empires or the Federal Pharmaceutical Company could guarantee brewing two identical Gold Law potions at once. First, the refinement process was extraordinarily difficult. Second, the raw materials were far too rare—the kind of treasures one could only stumble upon by pure luck.

Furthermore, transcendents on different paths required entirely different potions for their advancement. Countless transcendents spent their entire lives trapped at the Bronze Tier simply because they could never find their corresponding Silver Law potion.

While Chosen Ones could advance without potions, the catch was that all Chosen Ones were nightmare apostles. Their mortality rate was staggeringly high, making it exceedingly rare for one to survive long enough to reach Gold.

All these overlapping factors combined to make Gold powerhouses incredibly rare. To succeed, talent alone was not enough; one also had to rely on luck.

Even if a transcendent boasted a one hundred percent success rate when consuming Law potions, failing to encounter the potion suited to their specific path meant they would ultimately waste their life in stagnation.

As the Follower of Strength potion settled in his stomach, Su Mu quickly felt the changes. His consciousness soared infinitely upward, entirely out of his control. It felt as though he were piercing through endless dimensions and ascending into the starry cosmos, until he finally beheld a colossal net enveloping all of creation within the vast expanse.

It was the Bronze Law!

An old friend. He had seen it three times already.

Just as Su Mu was studying the Bronze Law, a mysterious, unseen force suddenly descended, dragging his consciousness even higher. His awareness swiftly broke past the Bronze Law, arriving in a new world situated in an even higher dimension.

This place, too, was blanketed by a colossal net. It seemed like the very weaver of cosmic order, controlling the trajectory of everything in the world in a manner completely beyond mortal comprehension.

Every node upon it was the physical manifestation of an ability, dotting this vast, boundless net of Laws like stars glowing with mystic light.

Some blazed as intensely as stars, some shone with the purity of holy light, and others were obscure, elusive, and profoundly mysterious...

"Is this the Silver Law? It looks similar to the Bronze Law, but on a higher tier," Su Mu mused, studying the Silver Law with curiosity.

Right then, a star emitting a faint red light rapidly magnified before his eyes, pulsing exactly like a beating heart. The star seemed almost alive, throbbing with a slow, resolute rhythm. With every tremor, an endlessly vast power gushed from within.

"The Silver Law, Follower of Strength!"

The next moment, Su Mu felt the three Bronze Laws within his body begin to stir.

Great Force Bombardment Punch, Ceaseless Recovery, and Heart of Steel!

Three streaks of bronze light stretched out from his consciousness like silken threads. They continually extended, interweaving and tangling together, until they finally fused into a single beam of silver light that anchored itself to the Follower of Strength star.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

As the star pulsed, the silver light connected to it vibrated in tandem, a tremor that ultimately landed on Su Mu's soul.

He could vividly feel a vast force sweeping through his entire body, as if to help his physical form complete a higher level of evolution.

But the evolution had barely begun when the silver light, strained by the tremors, showed faint signs of collapsing.

Su Mu felt a wave of helplessness. "I actually hit that fifty percent chance?"

He knew that if the silver light connecting him to the star snapped, this advancement attempt would fail. The Dragon Seeking Plan had already begun; even though he was perfectly capable of refining another Follower of Strength potion, he simply didn't have the time.

And so, his vast spiritual power surged outward, falling upon the fraying silver light. Supported by a spiritual strength that far exceeded the Bronze Tier, the silver light rapidly stabilized, and the evolution continued.

Such a feat would be incredibly difficult for anyone else to achieve, because Bronze was Bronze; it was very hard to cross tiers to influence the Silver realm. But he possessed a spiritual power far beyond Bronze.

With the connection secured, Su Mu distinctly felt the power descending from the pale red star rapidly reconstructing his body. His skin flushed slightly red, as though baked by an intense fire, and every inch of skin radiated a peculiar luster.

His muscles pulled taut, their lines growing sharply defined like cast steel. Boundless power seemed packed into every muscle, so dense that even the slightest movement caused the surrounding air to vibrate.

His bones emitted faint, cracking pops as they grew as solid as bedrock, seemingly capable of withstanding the weight of a mountain.

A long while later, Su Mu slowly opened his eyes. A formidable aura erupted from his body, sweeping outward like a storm and making his expensive suit flutter despite the lack of wind.

"So this is what Silver feels like? Not bad." He clenched his fist. The vast power hidden within his muscles and bones constantly gathered, making him feel as though he could blow apart an entire building with a single punch.

He had now completely advanced to Silver 1, becoming a Follower of Strength—the most utterly common path among all transcendents!
