Beneath the Silver-White Mask, Su Mu's lips curled slightly. "It's simple. Strength is the foundation of cooperation. Show me your strength. If you meet my standards, then the cooperation can proceed."

Yan Moxie's gaze sharpened. "Then I will let Your Excellency Pride see whether our Revolutionary Army is qualified. Where is your true body? Or do you plan to fight me with a clone?"

"Hahaha..." Pride laughed uncontrollably, as if he had just heard an amusing joke. His laughter was full of contempt.

"Vice-Commander Yan, it seems you not only like sneaking expired biscuits, but you also enjoy telling jokes. I hope you use your brain a bit more before you speak next time. Fight me? Are you worthy?"

Yan Moxie's expression turned freezing cold; he was clearly enraged.

"If your commander had come, I might have had some interest in making a move. As for you? Lust," Su Mu suddenly called out to the empty air beside him.

Instantly, a man wearing an identical swallow-tailed coat and a Silver-White Mask appeared out of thin air inside the warehouse.

Yan Moxie's pupils shrank. If Pride's sudden appearance earlier could be explained away by his own lack of preparation, now another member of the Seven Deadly Sins had materialized right under his nose, and he still hadn't sensed the slightest warning!

Just what kind of ability was this!?

Teleportation? No! That wasn't right. There hadn't been the slightest spatial fluctuation.

"Leader," Lust said respectfully from the side. He didn't spare a single glance at Yan Moxie the entire time, ignoring him completely.

"Go test his mettle."

Only then did Lust slowly turn his head. What met Yan Moxie's eyes was a different Silver-White Mask; the eye slits were more curved and narrow, and the corners of the mouth turned up much higher, resembling a lecherous smile.

"Leader, what if I accidentally kill him?" Lust asked. His voice was completely sincere, as if he were genuinely pondering the question.

"The weak have no value in living." With that said, Pride's figure vanished completely.

Only Yan Moxie and Lust—who was actually Taoist Priest Xuanqing—were left staring at each other across the massive warehouse.

At this moment, Taoist Priest Xuanqing was clearly in disguise. He had used Daoist magic to alter his appearance; his typically hunched body had become tall and straight, making him look much larger overall.

Yan Moxie stared intently at Lust. He knew very well that since Pride had chosen Lust to test him, it meant Lust was also a Gold-tier powerhouse.

Another Gold-tier powerhouse? Just who were the people in these Seven Deadly Sins!

He had originally thought that only their leader, Pride, was at the Gold Tier. After all, Gold-tier experts weren't as common as cabbages; the entire Revolutionary Army only had four in total!

They were the commander and the three vice-commanders.

Normally, an organization possessing even one Gold-tier expert could be considered first-rate.

Yet the Seven Deadly Sins had casually deployed two Gold-tier experts, already matching half of the Revolutionary Army's high-end combat power—and that was with the other members of the Seven Deadly Sins still unrevealed.

If the outside rumors were true and all seven members were at the Gold Tier, then the strength of this organization couldn't just be described as formidable; it was terrifying!

"Uncle, since the Leader has spoken, you'd better be careful. Don't blame me if you die." Taoist Priest Xuanqing swayed his head slightly, his old bones letting out crisp cracking sounds, but his voice sounded as young as a teenager's.

Clearly, the persona he had crafted for himself was that of an innocent and charming youth.

Having not fought in many years, he couldn't hide his excitement. It wasn't that he hadn't wanted to fight before, but casting Longevity Daoist Magic harmed the user as much as the enemy. Who would be bored enough to toy with their own lifespan?

But now, with Su Mu's backing, he no longer had to worry about lifespan limits. He could finally fight to his heart's content.

Before coming here, Su Mu had gone to the Lower District, randomly selected a dozen or so societal scum, plundered their lifespans, and infused them into Taoist Priest Xuanqing.

Because Taoist Priest Xuanqing's strength was at the Gold Tier, the quality of his lifespan was extremely high. The hundreds of years of lifespan scraped together from those dozen ordinary people were only enough to add a few years to his life, but it was still more than enough for a single battle.

Seeing that Lust was preparing to strike, Yan Moxie's expression changed. "Wait. Are you planning to fight inside the Law Enforcement Bureau?"

Taoist Priest Xuanqing froze. That was true—wouldn't fighting inside the Law Enforcement Bureau be courting death?

He was just about to speak when he suddenly remembered Su Mu's previous instructions to act as arrogantly as possible.

So the words on his lips turned to disdain, sounding exactly like an arrogant teenager bragging: "So what if we fight in the Law Enforcement Bureau? If they dare to interrupt, I'll just kill them all."

A slight chill ran through Yan Moxie's heart. He had finally figured it out: these Seven Deadly Sins were all lawless lunatics. He had already witnessed Pride's arrogance, but now this seemingly young Lust was equally wild? His words showed absolutely no regard for the Law Enforcement Bureau.

Their Revolutionary Army was already considered the largest rebel organization in the Empire, yet they wouldn't dare pull such a stunt on an ordinary day. But the Seven Deadly Sins dared!

What Yan Moxie didn't know was that Taoist Priest Xuanqing didn't dare fight here either. But psychological warfare worked exactly like this: I know you don't dare, so I will dare! You'll be the one persuading me otherwise anyway.

Sure enough, Yan Moxie began to dissuade him. "There's no need to cause unnecessary trouble. Follow me."

Swish!

Yan Moxie transformed into a shadow, slipping out through a crack in the window and merging into the darkness.

Lust's dissatisfied voice trailed after him. "Hey, hey, don't leave! I've never fought in the Law Enforcement Bureau before. It sounds like so much fun!"

Yan Moxie fled even faster, vanishing completely into the darkness in the blink of an eye.

Now it was Taoist Priest Xuanqing's turn to be dumbfounded. "By the Celestial Sovereign of Longevity, this kid's Gold Law is Shadow Demon! Damn it, it's known as the Law most adept at fleeing and ambushing, and it's nighttime on top of that. How is an old priest like me supposed to keep up?"

Just as he gritted his teeth, preparing to sacrifice a bit of his lifespan to divine Yan Moxie's location, Su Mu's voice rang out in his mind through their mental link.

"A hundred li to the east."

Taoist Priest Xuanqing paused in surprise, then rejoiced. He had just saved himself a few days of lifespan.

In an empty wilderness, Yan Moxie stepped out of the shadows and shifted back into human form. He looked around at the deserted darkness, the corners of his mouth curving slightly.

His Gold Law, Shadow Demon, was most adept at escape. The reason he had gone all out to shake off Lust was to frustrate him and lower Lust's momentum. In clashes between true experts, the contest of momentum was sometimes of utmost importance.

Just as he was feeling pleased with himself, the smug laughter of a teenage boy suddenly rang out from behind him. "Hehe, caught you!"

Yan Moxie was horrified. He swiftly spun around, only to see Lust soaring through the air like a sword immortal from a hundred meters away, wielding a gleaming longsword!
