Chapter 172: I Actually Had a Solution on the First Day

He sneered and walked toward the bushes, his eyes flashing with wicked intent. That little girl, Mu Qing, was on a completely different level from the women of the Sea Kingdom. Her fair, delicate skin and petite, exquisite figure had stirred his desires long ago.

He hadn't had an excuse to make a move before, but now? Once Mu Qing was caught, her fate was to be reduced to a breeding tool anyway. Since that was the case, he might as well get the first taste.

He cautiously parted the bushes with his Mithril Dagger to guard against a sneak attack from Mu Qing. But the moment he did, he froze. She wasn't there at all; nothing remained but a patch of withered weeds.

The weeds looked as if their life force had been drained dry. Yellowed and withered, they crumbled at the slightest touch.

His expression changed. "Damn it! This bitch's Law is definitely not Call of Nature! She can actually absorb the life force of plants—what kind of Law is this!?"

A short distance away in the woods, Mu Qing crawled carefully forward. The bloody gash on her back, which had once been deep enough to reveal bone, had already healed. Through the tears in her clothes, glimpses of snow-white skin could be seen.

The strangest part was that she seemed completely invisible. Despite being well within the enemy's line of sight, they simply couldn't see her.

Mu Qing made her way toward the sea, step by step. She believed that the mysterious and powerful Mr. Su definitely had his own plans. Her only task was to survive as long as possible and rendezvous with him at the shore.

Of Su Mu's four-person group, only Mu Qing had managed to escape using her bizarre ability. Yang Dongqing had been captured in seconds. Lu Dongliang held out for quite a while, but under the siege of the crowd, he eventually exhausted his strength and was taken.

As for Su Mu? He hadn't made a single appearance from start to finish.

Sometimes, the gap between people was simply that massive—even greater than the gap between a human and a dog.

While the rest of the group was surrounded by peril, with two already captured, their leader, Su Mu, was leisurely sitting on a coastal reef, admiring the reflection of the bright moon in the water.

No one knew when he had arrived, just as no one knew what he was doing by the sea.

"Mr. Su!" a pleasantly surprised voice called out from the nearby woods. Mu Qing ran out, her hair a mess and her chest heaving.

Su Mu didn't turn around, continuing to calmly admire the ocean view. "I didn't think anyone would make it to the shore, yet to my surprise, you managed it, Miss Mu. If my guess is correct, your Silver Law isn't Sequence 3 Call of Nature."

Mu Qing fell briefly silent, not giving a direct answer. "Whether it is or isn't doesn't matter, and now isn't the time to discuss my Law. Since you saw through Hu Jie's plan so early on and even have the leisure to admire the sea view here, Mr. Su, you must already have a way to turn the tables, right?"

Su Mu looked back. The cold moonlight shone on his sharply defined face, as if coating it in a layer of silver. He smiled faintly. "Turn what tables?"

Mu Qing stared blankly. Just as she was about to speak, Su Mu's gentle voice sounded once more. It was like a spring breeze—mild and soft, completely devoid of sharpness or impatience, brimming with absolute confidence and composure.

"The game is in my hands. They are the ones truly backed into a corner."

His voice seemed to carry a magical, pacifying power. Mu Qing's previously tense and anxious heart slowly settled.

"We're being hunted by the entire Sea Kingdom, and two of our teammates have already been captured. This doesn't count as a dead end?" Now calm, Mu Qing even had the mood to tease him.

Su Mu pushed up his Tinted Glasses and smiled faintly. "Actually, on the first day we arrived in the Sea Kingdom, I already figured out a way to break the Sea God's curse and leave this place."

Astonishment flashed through Mu Qing's beautiful eyes. "Then why haven't you made a move, Mr. Su?"

Su Mu gazed out at the sea, his tone distant. "Because that would be far too boring. I don't like things being too easy, so I played along with Hu Jie's act as much as possible, hoping he could give me a few more surprises.

"The facts have proven that he really is trash. He brought a little surprise, but not much. It's about time this farce came to an end."

He slowly stood up, staring out at the boundless ocean in the dark. No one knew what he was thinking.

Mu Qing stared at his back. The blowing sea breeze made her feel a bit chilly, and she couldn't help but pull her clothes a little tighter around herself.

She couldn't understand how someone like this could exist in the world. Just because he found it boring?

"Mr. Su, is your strength already enough to contend with the entire Sea Kingdom? Including those twenty-plus Transcendents?" Mu Qing asked, unable to think of any other possibility.

The most likely explanation was that Su Mu was a peerless powerhouse with the confidence to take on a nation single-handedly, which was why he had just sat back and watched Hu Jie's performance.

Su Mu shook his head. "No."

Mu Qing was stunned. "Then you..."

"Miss Mu, you know how to brew Transcendent Potions, correct?" Su Mu suddenly asked.

Mu Qing's eyes flickered, and she nodded. "I used to work for the Federation Pharmaceutical Company Limited, the largest medical company in the Real World, for a time. So I learned how to brew Transcendent Potions."

Su Mu had long heard of the Federal Pharmaceutical Company. Previously, most of the Transcendent Potions in Nangong Mengli's hands had been purchased from Federal Pharmaceuticals. Its business covered the Seven Great Empires. Any Transcendent looking to buy a Transcendent Potion would definitely make Federal Pharmaceuticals their first choice.

Legend had it that this company's wealth already rivaled that of an entire nation. If they wanted to, they could even establish humanity's eighth great empire!

"Then do you have any Transcendent Potions similar to Great Force Bombardment Punch that can permanently improve physical fitness?"

"I do." Mu Qing dug around in her clothes for a moment before pulling out a pale silver potion. It looked as though silver glitter had been sprinkled into water—sparkling and quite beautiful.

"I have a Heart of Steel Transcendent Potion, the most common type on the market. I brewed it to sell for cash, but before I could find a suitable buyer, I entered the Nightmare World."

Su Mu smiled faintly. "That couldn't be better."

She walked over to Su Mu's side and handed the Transcendent Potion over, asking doubtfully, "Mr. Su, will this potion actually help your plan?"

It was no wonder she was confused. She simply couldn't imagine how Su Mu was going to use a Bronze Potion to deal with the entire Sea Kingdom.

Su Mu took the potion and smiled. "It won't."

Mu Qing: "..."

For some reason, she suddenly felt a strong urge to punch someone. If it wouldn't help, why did he have her take out the potion!?

"But it will be very helpful to me." Su Mu popped the cap off the potion and, under Mu Qing's stunned gaze, downed it in a single gulp.
