I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World
Chapter 139: The Seven Deadly Sins Hold a Meeting
Zhuang Qing's face instantly turned as red as a monkey's backside. He hemmed and hawed for a long moment. "Do... do you have any photos that are a bit more revealing?"
Mu Lingxi didn't say a word, merely staring at him expressionlessly. Zhuang Qing lowered his head further and further until it was practically buried in his crotch.
"It's getting late. Go to sleep."
"Oh." Zhuang Qing quickly lay down on his side. Strangely enough, even though he had been dead on his feet just moments ago, he found it impossible to fall asleep now.
"C-Captain... could you stop staring at me?"
Mu Lingxi scowled, grabbing Zhuang Qing by the collar and hoisting him up. "Are you really planning to jerk off to put yourself to sleep?"
"N-No... I'm just used to being single. I'm used to sleeping alone. With someone else in the room—especially a woman—I just can't sleep."
Thud!
Mu Lingxi tossed Zhuang Qing back onto the bed and strode out without looking back. Before leaving, she threw out one last line: "If I catch any weird smells in this office, you're dead meat!"
Zhuang Qing turned pale with fright, instantly dismissing the thoughts he had been entertaining. He lay obediently in bed and started counting sheep. He had no choice; whatever drowsiness he'd felt had been completely scared away by Mu Lingxi.
"101, 102... 388..." His expression grew increasingly bitter the more he counted. He couldn't sleep. He couldn't sleep at all.
He decided human nature was simply perverse. When you weren't allowed to sleep, you could barely keep your eyes open. But when you were finally told to, you couldn't fall asleep to save your life.
Counting on and on, his mind began to drift. "554, 556, 553..."
"Hey, you already counted me once," a pure white little sheep complained, bounding out of the flock.
Zhuang Qing jumped in fright. "Fuck! Why are there nothing but sheep?"
He suddenly realized he was standing in a sheep pen, completely surrounded by pure white little sheep.
He shook his head vigorously, finally realizing he had already entered a dream. Because he had been so immersed in counting sheep, his dreamscape was entirely filled with them.
With that thought, he ignored the sheep and began searching for Su Mu's dream. When Su Mu was being interrogated at the Law Enforcement Bureau earlier today, Mu Lingxi had secretly extracted a wisp of his lingering aura.
Relying on that wisp of aura, Zhuang Qing quickly locked onto Su Mu's dream. He then swaggered right into the dreamscape—a maneuver he was already intimately familiar with.
Mu Lingxi had said Su Mu was their prime suspect. After getting through the daytime interrogation, he definitely would have let his guard down, so she had ordered Zhuang Qing to dive into his dream tonight and see if he could uncover any clues regarding Pride.
She even suspected that Su Mu was Pride himself. She had no evidence; it was purely intuition.
Zhuang Qing didn't panic about this at all. It didn't matter even if Su Mu really was Pride. They were in a dream, anyway, and everything in a dream was fake. Not even a Gold tier powerhouse could kill him in a dream.
And so, absolutely fearless, he plunged headfirst into Su Mu's dream.
The scenery before his eyes rapidly shifted. What came into view was an extremely prosperous modern metropolis. Bright lights and flashing neon painted the streets—it looked even more bustling than the Imperial Capital.
Zhuang Qing's eyes widened. He had entered the dreams of countless people, but this was the first time he had seen one so realistic. Normal dreams were like virtual reality games where every new area required a loading screen. Because the human brain possessed limited computing power
