I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World
Chapter 119: The Omnipotent Primal Divine Cult
Whoosh!
The translucent, cloud-like humanoid figure was rapidly sucked into the bottle.
Wan hoisted the bottle above his head like he was offering a treasure. "Divine Envoy, the Metal Evil God's familiar has been apprehended."
Su Mu took the small bottle. Inside was a tiny figure—a middle-aged man with a terrified expression, frantically pounding against the glass. It was Mu Cheng's soul.
Mu Cheng had no idea what had happened. When he regained consciousness, his soul was already trapped inside the small bottle. He was absolutely terrified, but something even more horrifying was about to happen.
A gigantic face suddenly appeared before him. A single eye on that face was larger than his entire body. He let out a hysterical scream, but a second later, he realized this massive face looked somewhat familiar.
"Su... Su Mu?!" Mu Cheng's expression twisted wildly. He wouldn't mistake Su Mu's face even if he were dead. "What the hell is going on?"
He looked around in panic, finally realizing he had been stuffed into a tiny bottle. Su Mu hadn't grown larger; he had shrunk.
"Let me out! Let me out right now!"
Su Mu studied the tiny person inside the bottle with great interest. He was suddenly deeply fascinated by Divine Arts. They were simply too omnipotent; as long as one made a sacrifice, they could accomplish almost anything. However, it was just an interest. He had no intention of actually learning them.He wouldn't be able to learn them anyway. The prerequisite for practicing the Primal Divine Cult's Divine Arts was faith in the Primal Angel. Only through that faith could one establish a connection with the angel and offer a sacrifice.
Strictly speaking, he was currently a Blasphemer. If he actually tried to contact the Primal Angel, it would probably bring about a fatal disaster.
Clink, clink, clink...
Su Mu shook the small bottle in his hand. Inside, Mu Cheng instantly tumbled around, flipping up and down and repeatedly slamming against the glass, producing crisp clinking sounds.
"Su Mu! What did you do to me?!" Mu Cheng shouted, trembling as he struggled to climb to his feet, thoroughly dizzy from the tumbling.
Su Mu leaned close to the small bottle, the transparent glass reflecting his pale face. Suddenly, a charming smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, and he asked Mu Cheng in a soft voice, "Mr. Mu, are you... feeling despair?"
Mu Cheng's soul trembled. In that instant, it felt as though he had been swallowed by a massive, silent terror. Fear pierced straight through his soul! The dignity and pride of a Silver-tier powerhouse were completely shattered.
"Let me go! Hurry up and release me! I'm begging you, let me go! I have money, I have so much money! As long as you let me go..."
"Mr. Mu, I always thought you were a dignified man, but right now, you aren't dignified at all. Please don't ruin my beautiful expectations of a Silver-tier powerhouse."
After saying that, Su Mu ignored Mu Cheng's pleas for mercy and tossed the bottle straight to Wan. He had no use for a soul whatsoever. First of all, he wasn't lacking in mental strength; if anything, he wanted to suppress its growth. Secondly, he didn't know how to sacrifice it using Divine Arts.
Wan respectfully tucked the bottle away. "Divine Envoy, since the Metal Evil God's familiar has been dealt with, let's find a place to rest for a bit. Once the serpent god's spawn outside retreat, this lowly one will immediately escort you to the Primal Divine Cult."
"Hmm." Su Mu nodded, offering no objection, but internally he was calculating. He definitely couldn't go to the Primal Divine Cult. For one, the journey was too long, and for another, he would easily be exposed the moment he met the Pope. He could explore it once his strength grew, but absolutely not right now.
But how should he convince Wan?
He cast a sidelong glance at Wan, whose face was filled with fanatical devotion, and figured that persuading him would be incredibly simple. To a zealot, the words of a Divine Envoy were absolute decrees. He just needed to make up a random excuse and have Wan return first.
However, he didn't plan on letting Wan go that easily. Wan was quite strong and possessed bizarre methods. He needed to squeeze out every last drop of value from him.
With that thought in mind, Su Mu spoke up. "Wan."
Wan hurriedly stood up, waiting respectfully at his side. "This lowly one is here."
"This Divine Envoy is hungry."
"Divine Envoy, this lowly one has food!" Wan was incredibly excited, acting as if helping the Divine Envoy was a deeply honorable privilege.
He hastily pulled a small Sheepskin Bag from his person and reached inside. He quickly pulled out a pitch-black piece of dried meat. It was impossible to tell what kind of meat it was, but the piece was very long, almost the size of an adult man's arm.
Su Mu's eyes flickered slightly. 'A storage Artifact?'
Wan respectfully offered the dried meat. Su Mu didn't even spare it a glance. Instead, he said coldly, "You think this Divine Envoy is only fit to eat such garbage?"
Sensing Su Mu's displeasure, Wan's face changed drastically. He dropped to his knees with a heavy thud. "This lowly one deserves death! This lowly one deserves death! Given the Divine Envoy's exalted status, such crude filth naturally isn't worthy of you! It's just that this lowly one only has this dried meat on me. What would you like to eat? This lowly one will go find it immediately."
Seeing his proper attitude, Su Mu's expression softened slightly. "Hell is barren, far inferior to Heaven. This Divine Envoy won't make things difficult for you. Just go find some Eye of Gold. In Hell, that's the only thing barely palatable."
Wan stared blankly. "Divine Envoy, may I ask what an Eye of Gold is?"
Seeing Wan's bewildered face, Su Mu realized that the Eye of Gold might go by a different name here. After all, the Eye of Gold was a name given by Transcendents in the Real World. So, he took out the Gold Leaf that Murong Mengli had given him earlier.
"This is a leaf of the Eye of Gold."
Wan took it and immediately blurted out, "Sacred Radiance Fruit! Divine Envoy, this is a leaf from a Sacred Radiance Fruit! Legend says these are fruits formed when the Primal Angel's radiance cascaded down into Hell. So it's called the Eye of Gold in Heaven!"
Su Mu completely ignored the mention of the Primal Angel in Wan's words. In the eyes of a fanatic, the entire world belonged to the Primal Angel, so naturally, everything could be linked to the Primal Angel.
At that moment, Wan drew a sharp breath. He never expected that a treasure as rare and precious as the Sacred Radiance Fruit was considered merely barely palatable to the Divine Envoy!
What did the people in Heaven eat every day, then? He couldn't even begin to imagine.
This only strengthened his conviction to ascend to Heaven.
"Can you get it?"
Wan's expression turned solemn, and he hurriedly replied, "I can! The Sacred Radiance... Even though the Eye of Gold is precious, as long as the Divine Envoy requires it, this lowly one can produce it immediately."
This time, it was Su Mu's turn to be surprised. Was it actually this coincidental? Did Wan actually carry an Eye of Gold on him?
But a second later, he changed his mind, because Wan pulled out a dagger and aimed it directly at his own heart.
"Divine Envoy, please wait a moment. The Eye of Gold will be right here. However, this lowly one is afraid he won't be able to escort you to the Primal Divine Cult anymore." As he spoke, Wan took Mu Cheng's soul out of the Sheepskin Bag and handed the bag to Su Mu.
"Divine Envoy, the emblem of the Primal Divine Cult is inside. After you finish eating the Eye of Gold and have rested, you can head into the Black Fog and activate the emblem. It will contact the nearest cult members to come pick you up."
"Hmm." Su Mu accepted the Sheepskin Bag and said flatly to Wan, "This Divine Envoy has felt your devotion. See you in Heaven."
