I Summon Female Knights

Chapter 71: The Corporate Raid

  • Next Chapter

The financial district of Sector 1 was quiet at three in the morning, save for the hum of high-voltage security grids and the rhythmic patrol of automated corporate drones.

Rain slicked the Old Federal Mint’s grand granite facade, a historical stone monument preserved in the shadow of Jiston’s modern glass skyscrapers. Officially, the building was a decommissioned municipal museum. Unofficially, three hundred feet beneath its reinforced sub-basement lay Subterranean Vault ALT-5: the Vanguard Coalition’s unrecorded, off-grid black vault.

In the narrow, pitch-black alleyway between the Old Mint and an adjacent bank tower, Raphael stood motionless.

His towering frame was swallowed completely by his dark coat. Beneath his deep hood, his luminous silver eyes looked upward at the laser-mesh security grid covering the Mint’s secondary service entrance.

His Sovereign’s Veil was pinned at maximum density, suppressing his aura into zero signature. To the optical sensors and mana-frequency scanners sweeping the alley every forty seconds, he was simply empty air.

Raphael reached into his coat and produced the black encrypted drive he had taken from Julian Drake’s corpse.

Using the spatial doorway of his Waypoint Gate, he didn’t need to pick the physical lock on the service door or fight through six layers of armed security guards in the lobby. He just aligned the spatial coordinates of his portal with the interior of Vault ALT-5, using the drive’s decrypted security keys to bypass the vault’s localized spatial-displacement wards.

Raphael stepped forward into the shadowy wall of the alley.

ZIP.

The air rippled with a faint, silvery-violet shimmer, and Raphael vanished from street level. He materialized inside a massive, climate-controlled vault built deep within the granite bedrock beneath Sector 1.

The room was lit by a dim, ambient blue glow emanating from rows of floor-to-ceiling vault racks. Unlike standard bank vaults filled with paper currency or gold bullion, Vault ALT-5 was packed with high-value, off-grid hunter assets: sealed glass cases containing unrefined B-Tier mana cores, crates of refined adamantine ingots, liquid-mana canisters, and heavy steel security chests filled with untraceable black-market credit keys.

Raphael walked slowly down the central aisle, his heavy boots making zero sound on the polished steel floor.

His heightened perception scanned the vault’s digital security infrastructure. Mounted on the central pillar was a high-grade quantum terminal linked directly to Vanguard Coalition’s private corporate network. It monitored physical weight thresholds, temperature, and ambient mana pressure across every shelf.

If a single crate was lifted without authorization, an automated alarm would instantly alert Director Sterling’s private security team and lock down the entire sub-basement with titanium blast doors.

A faint, cold smile touched Raphael’s lips beneath his hood.

He raised his right hand, clad in his Sovereign’s Shadow-Grip Gauntlet. Instead of forcefully tearing open the glass cases or breaking the locks, he touched the central pillar’s access port.

A thin, razor-sharp needle of silvery-violet spatial mana bled from his gauntlet straight into the terminal’s optical data lines. At the same time, miles away inside The Iron Spire, the quantum server array Raphael had installed worked in unison with the Dungeon Core to overwrite the vault’s diagnostic logs.

The blue indicator lights on the central terminal flickered twice before locking into a stable green, projecting a false diagnostic loop to Vanguard’s off-site monitoring team that confirmed all vault inventory remained 100% intact.

"Clean," Raphael muttered softly.

He walked up to the first row of heavy steel storage racks, and raised his gauntleted hand, resting his palm against a massive, two-ton steel crate stamped with the Vanguard seal. Inside were fifty refined adamantine ingots, rare, high-density metal used exclusively for crafting high-tier hunter armor and weapons.

Raphael activated his spatial inventory storage.

ZIP.

The two-ton steel crate vanished instantly from the shelf, transferred directly to the Royal Treasury Vault inside The Iron Spire. Raphael didn’t stop there. He walked smoothly down the long aisles, touching glass cases, storage trunks, and alloy racks in fluid, effortless succession.

ZIP. ZIP. ZIP. ZIP.

Thirty B-Tier mana cores harvested from unrecorded dungeon raids... vanished. Ten liquid-mana pressure canisters... vanished. Four heavy trunks filled with clean, untraceable bearer credit chips totaling two hundred and fifty million credits... vanished.

In less than three minutes, Raphael emptied three-quarters of Vanguard Coalition’s secret corporate reserve, transferring hundreds of millions of credits worth of raw materials and currency straight into his sovereign fortress.

When he reached the central terminal, he paused, and pulled a small, custom data chip from his tunic, a file crafted by Vanessa and the quantum server array.

He plugged the chip into the terminal port.

The chip uploaded a series of sophisticated, encrypted digital footprints designed to look like a high-level cyber-breach. The digital signature was carefully forged using the unique cryptographic protocols of The Apex Guild- Vanguard Coalition’s largest and most aggressive corporate rival in Jiston.

To any forensic investigator from the Bureau or Vanguard’s private security team, it would look as though Apex Guild had used a high-tier stealth team to hack the vault, loot its contents, and erase the footage to ruin Director Sterling financially.

Raphael pulled the chip from the terminal, resheathed his gauntlet, and looked across the completely barren steel vault. Where hundreds of millions of credits in military hardware, rare alloys, and mana cores had rested moments ago, only empty metal shelves remained in the quiet blue light.

"Let Sterling and Apex tear each other apart," Raphael said quietly, his deep baritone carrying an amused, icy calm.

He turned toward the shadow beneath the vault archway, raising his left hand to open his spatial doorway back to the keep.

ZIP.

The silvery-violet spatial mirror opened silently, and Raphael stepped through, vanishing into the spatial void before the false diagnostic loop could even reset.

Ten minutes later, inside the executive penthouse in Sector 1, Marcus Sterling’s private terminal flashed a frantic red alert as his off-grid accounts suddenly registered a catastrophic, unrecoverable zero.

The corporate shadow war in Jiston had officially begun.
