The Red-horned Purple-scaled Lizard Beast had been lying in the grass, planning to rest for a moment before heading toward a patch of light in the distance.

It hadn’t expected to be so lucky. Just as it was resting, two delicious-looking humans appeared right before it.

Having tasted them before, the Red-horned Purple-scaled Lizard Beast craved more of the tender, soft-skinned humans.

A deafening roar erupted from the Red-horned Purple-scaled Lizard Beast’s maw. Its malice was completely undisguised, broadcasting its desire to gorge itself.

The resulting explosion of flames failed to inflict even the slightest scratch on the ferocious beast.

The Red-horned Purple-scaled Lizard Beast, having taken the Fireball Attack, merely shook its head. By then, it had finished swallowing its meal.

And so, a key combatant sent to Rongcheng by the Heilin Society met an unfortunate end in the desolate wilderness, becoming food for a Mutant Beast.

Drawing the Spiritual Longsword from the Mysterious Small Island, Lin Li first took a step to the side to dodge the Mutant Beast’s attack, then immediately swung his arm, slashing at the slimy tongue shooting toward him.

The Spiritual Longsword, infused with Spiritual Energy and glowing with a faint golden Spiritual Light, easily sliced off the Red-horned Purple-scaled Lizard Beast’s extended tongue as if it were cutting tofu.
