I Rebuilt FGO as a Tower Defense Game
Chapter 98 PD was stunned.
At this moment, he was actually wearing a loose purple cloth robe and a turban symbolizing wisdom. He was looking down, holding a clay tablet in his left hand and a stylus in his right, incessantly reviewing official documents!
There were even very obvious dark circles around his eyes from staying up late for a long time!
"..."
PD was stunned.
The Viewers in the livestream also rubbed their eyes, thinking they were hallucinating.
"This... this is Gilgamesh?!"
"That golden tyrant who looks down on everyone and treats money like dirt... is here correcting documents?!"
"Holy crap, those dark circles, that haggard face—this is clearly a corporate slave uncle who's worked overtime for half a year straight!"
Just as the players were left bewildered in the wind.
Hearing the sound of the door opening, the king did not look up. He continued to write rapidly on the clay tablet, his mouth letting out an extremely irritable and heavily fatigued complaint:
"Is there another gap in the demonic beast defense line on the north wall? Have the Fifth Infantry Regiment fill it! If arrow supplies are low, transfer some from the South District!"
"Does the King have to personally oversee such trivial matters? Have the officials of Uruk all had their brains eaten by demonic beasts?!"
After speaking, he heavily tossed the finished tablet onto the "Completed" mountain nearby, then finally looked up with an impatient face at the stunned party standing at the door.
"Oh? You've finally arrived, magus of Chaldea."
There was no "mongrel" as imagined, and no "kneel" as imagined.
Though Gilgamesh's blood-red eyes were tired, they possessed an unprecedented, deep majesty that made one instinctively want to bow in submission.
"Listen well, outlanders."
"This King has no time for nonsense with you. Uruk is currently on the brink of survival; this city has no need for useless freeloaders."
He casually picked up several heavy Clay Tablets from the table, reached across, and unceremoniously shoved them into PD's arms.
"Go help out in the city. Whether it's moving bricks, striking iron at the blacksmith shop, or dealing with demonic beast cubs in the sewers."
"Show this King your value."
"If you can't even handle such insignificant work, then get out of Uruk as soon as possible and find a sandpit to bury yourselves in!"
After delivering this extremely grounded, "foreman-like" lecture, Gilgamesh lowered his head again, continuing to bury himself in that document hell that seemed like it would never end.
Dead silence.
Not just PD, but all the lore enthusiasts and veteran players on the Youxing Network were completely shocked into silence by Gilgamesh's terrifying sense of contrast.
"This... is the tyrant Gilgamesh?!"
"That peerless King of Heroes is actually personally coordinating logistics and staying up until he has dark circles just to protect the city?!"
"He put aside his vaunted pride and stowed his golden armor... He is now using his wisdom as a king and his own flesh and blood to support humanity's last fortress!"
"Wise King... this is the [Wise King] after truly experiencing life and death and attaining enlightenment!!"
If the previous FGO plot was about showing the loftiness of mythological figures, then at the start of this Absolute Demonic Beast Front, whether it's the guide who turned into an enemy or the king who transformed from a tyrant into a corporate slave, they are all shattering the inherent perceptions of Blue Star players in the most realistic and bloody way possible!
