Li Shen listened to Wu Yu’s explanation and nodded slightly.

It was indeed a solid arrangement. As the number of live-streamed educational sessions continued to grow, along with other types of live content, it would become increasingly difficult to manage everything without structure. Assigning dedicated managers to each live-streaming category was bound to become necessary.

At the moment, the Academic Subject Live Stream section was the most popular segment on Boring Short Video. Appointing two managers to oversee it was definitely the right move.

“Alright, let’s go with that. Assign them as Supervisor and Deputy Manager of the Academic Subject Live Stream section. From now on, they’ll be in charge of that area.”

“This should be the place,” Liu Weiwei said as she looked up at the building in front of her. “According to the address, Boring Short Video is on the 22nd floor. General Manager Li told us to check in at the front desk on the 17th floor first. Someone will take us up from there.”

She double-checked the address in her hand to be sure.

“Then let’s head in,” Yang Yaoyao said, giving the building a quick glance before leading the way inside.

They stepped into the elevator and went straight to the 17th floor. After a quick look around, they walked directly to the front desk.

“Hello, how can I help you?” the receptionist asked.

Liu Weiwei stepped forward and explained their purpose.

“We’re here for Boring Short Video. We’ve already made an appointment with General Manager Li.”

“One moment, please,” the receptionist said, lowering her head to check the records. A moment later, she looked up again.

“You must be Ms. Liu and Ms. Yang, correct?”

“That’s right,” Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao replied with a nod.

“Great, please follow me.”

With that, the receptionist stepped out from behind the desk and headed toward the elevator.

Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao quickly followed her.

Inside the elevator, the receptionist swiped a keycard and pressed the button for the 22nd floor. She turned to them and said, “Once you get out on the 22nd floor, just walk straight ahead and then turn left. The Manager’s Office will be right there.”

“Got it, thank you,” Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao said gratefully.

The receptionist exited the elevator, and the doors slowly closed. The elevator ascended swiftly and soon arrived at the 22nd floor. As the doors opened, the two women stepped out.

They took a moment to look around the floor, then followed the directions and arrived at the Manager’s Office.

Standing before the office door, they knocked lightly.

“Come in,” came a voice from inside.

Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao pushed the door open and walked in.

Inside the office, they quickly spotted a young man with a slightly darker complexion seated behind the desk.

They were a bit surprised. The person sitting in the Manager’s Office had to be General Manager Li, but they hadn’t expected him to be so young.

“You must be Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao. Please, have a seat,” Li Shen said, looking up and pausing briefly when he saw two unfamiliar women enter. He quickly realized who they were.

“Hello, General Manager Li,” they greeted in unison before taking their seats in front of the desk.

Once they were seated, Li Shen smiled and began to speak.

“Since you’re here to sign the contract, let me first give you a brief introduction to Boring Short Video.”

“First, Boring Short Video is a subsidiary of the Mingri Group. The group’s headquarters is located on the top floor of this building. After you officially join us, you’ll likely have the chance to visit there.”

“Boring Short Video is built on a foundation of positive content. Our short video platform strictly prohibits borderline content and anything lacking in substance. All live streams must focus on education or food-related themes.”

“During live streams, we conduct random inspections. If any violations are found—whether it’s content that doesn’t meet our standards, or a lack of genuine expertise—the contract with the streamer will be terminated immediately.”

Li Shen gave them a concise overview of Boring Short Video’s background and the expectations for streamers.

After a short pause, he continued.

“Now let’s talk about your roles after joining the company.”

“Based on your previous live streams, you both have solid experience in academic education. So once you’re officially on board, you’ll be taking on the roles of Supervisor and Deputy Manager for the Academic Subject Live Stream section.”

“Your main responsibility will be to handle all matters related to the Academic Subject Live Stream. This includes tracking viewer statistics, managing and reallocating academic streamers, selecting new talent, and so on. In short, anything related to the Academic Subject Live Stream will fall under your purview.”

“For now, that’s about it. If you don’t have any questions, we can go ahead and sign the contracts.”

After finishing, Li Shen turned his gaze to Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao.

Since President Chen had made the arrangement so suddenly, this was the best Li Shen could do for now. Of course, if there were any changes in the future, adjustments could be made at any time.

Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao exchanged a glance, then nodded in unison and turned to Li Shen.

“General Manager Li, we have no issues. We’re ready to sign.”

“Great. Here are the contracts. Take a look, and feel free to ask if anything seems unclear.”

Li Shen smiled slightly, reached out, and pulled out the contracts he had prepared in advance, sliding them across the table to the two of them.

Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao each took a copy and began reading through them.

As Yang Yaoyao scanned the contract, her eyes landed on the name “Mingri Group,” and she frowned slightly. The name felt familiar, like she’d heard it somewhere before, but she couldn’t quite place it.

After a moment of trying to recall, she gave up and shook her head, deciding not to dwell on it. She continued reading.

“General Manager Li, what does this ‘advance payment’ mean?”

Liu Weiwei suddenly pointed to a clause in the contract and asked.

Yang Yaoyao had just noticed the same clause and also looked up at Li Shen.

Li Shen gave a helpless smile and began to explain.

“It means exactly what it says. Once you’re officially employed, your salary will be paid in advance during the first few days of each month. A few days after you sign the contract, the finance department will transfer this month’s salary into your accounts.”

“Of course, since you’re not working a full month this time, you’ll only be paid for the days you actually work.”

Liu Weiwei and Yang Yaoyao were momentarily stunned. Getting paid in advance for the month was something they had never encountered before.

They took a deep breath, calmed their surprise, and continued reading through the rest of the contract.

The two of them had finished reviewing every detail. Everything checked out, and the salary and benefits matched what had been discussed the night before.

Li Shen watched them sign and stood up with a smile.

“Welcome to Boring Short Video. I’ll take you to see your future workspace now.”

“After that, I’ll give you a quick tour of the rest of the company. The top ten floors of this building all belong to Mingri Group, but each floor houses a different company, so it’s important that you get familiar with the layout to avoid going to the wrong place.”

“Of course, we also have a company cafeteria. I’ll show you around there too. You’ll be able to eat there every day from now on.”
