I Really Am A Villain

Ch. 1753 - The Strange Dried Corpse, Flesh of Longevity

As the divine phantom appeared, its immense power stirred the corpse mist filling the sky.

This was the Ancient Heaven Dao Lord’s strongest move.

“Heavenly God Seal,” he shouted. His hands moved at blinding speed, forming thousands of seals in the blink of an eye.

The divine phantom followed his motions. An ultimate radiance shone forth, illuminating antiquity itself.

Within the phantom’s hands, the Heavenly God Seal took shape and slammed down, sealing off the surrounding void.

All the Infinite Dao zombies were suppressed, unable to move.

This move was extremely powerful, a wide-range suppression attack.

But the cost was equally terrifying.

The Ancient Heaven Dao Lord’s own strength was draining at a visible rate.

“Go now, I can’t hold on much longer,” the Ancient Heaven Dao Lord shouted.

Xu Zimo nodded immediately.

He stepped through the air toward the dried corpse, intending to seize it.

The dried corpse, however, remained unhurried, calmly watching Xu Zimo.

“Why not join us,” it said lightly.

“Your body is excellent. It’s perfect for experiments.”

“Cut the crap!” Xu Zimo roared.

Shadow Tyrant slashed down, surging with terrifying power.

Boom.

The force of the blade was immense, its momentum overwhelming.

Yet when it struck the dried corpse, it was still as if nothing had happened, not even a ripple.

“It’s useless,” the dried corpse shook its head.

“Here, I am immortal. Any attack will be dissolved by corpse mist. You’re just struggling in vain.”

As it finished speaking, it flicked a finger, striking Shadow Tyrant.

Xu Zimo felt an enormous force surge through the blade, as if trying to knock him away.

“I don’t believe it,” Xu Zimo snorted coldly.

He raised Shadow Tyrant and slashed more than ten times in succession.

Blades of light filled the air, tearing apart the corpse mist as the entire laboratory began to collapse.

The dried corpse shook its head slightly.

It extended its right hand, and all of Xu Zimo’s blade energy was seized in its palm and extinguished.

But at that moment, Xu Zimo’s figure vanished.

The dried corpse turned its head, only to see that Xu Zimo had somehow appeared deep inside the laboratory.

There stood a small sealed door.

“This is where Ruhu’s aura is coming from,” Xu Zimo sneered.

“The corpse mist of the Three Corpse Cave has been nurtured for countless years. Trying to kill you here would be nothing but a fantasy. Do you think I’m stupid?”

From the moment he confronted the dried corpse, Xu Zimo had already made his decision.

Unless it was outside, without corpse mist to assist it, he might be able to defeat the dried corpse.

Inside the Three Corpse Cave, the opponent’s home ground, a head-on clash was foolish.

And unnecessary.

Even if he killed it, what would he gain?

The true final boss of the Three Corpse Cave was definitely not this dried corpse.

Following the white thread that led him to Lin Ruhu, Xu Zimo had discovered this door.

Lin Ruhu had to be inside.

Otherwise, the Traceless Compass would not guide him here without reason.

Seeing Xu Zimo standing before the door, ready to tear it down, the dried corpse grew anxious for the first time.

“Get away,” it roared.

Corpse clouds wrapped around its body as it charged toward Xu Zimo.

The more anxious the dried corpse became, the more confident Xu Zimo felt.

The power vortex within him spun wildly.

He slammed down with a punch, smashing through the iron door, made of some unknown material, with brute force.

Xu Zimo looked inside.

Beyond the doorway was a deep passage, so dark that its end could not be seen.

To the left of the doorway stood a furnace.

Gray corpse fire burned fiercely beneath it.

And the fuel feeding that fire was corpse after corpse.

The bodies that had failed the experiments were either thrown into the corpse river or used here as fuel.

In the Three Corpse Cave, corpse mist was the one thing in endless supply.

Otherwise, such terrifying corpse mist could never exist.

Xu Zimo looked upward.

Inside the cauldron, something was bubbling loudly.

A corpse was being boiled within.

It had already been reduced to minced flesh, the stench of decay suffocating.

Xu Zimo frowned slightly.

The dried corpse, however, became frenzied and roared, “Don’t touch my flesh of longevity. Don’t touch my flesh of longevity!”

“Stop, or I’ll overturn it,” Xu Zimo shouted.

He felt he had finally found the creature’s weakness.

Hearing this, the dried corpse truly panicked and froze in place.

It even sounded as if it were pleading.

“Put down the flesh of longevity, and I’ll let you pass,” it said.

“What flesh of longevity? It’s nothing but rotten meat,” Xu Zimo replied coldly.

“It’s rotten meat to you, but to me it’s everything,” the dried corpse said.

“That’s my flesh. I’ve boiled it for so many years, waiting for the day I can wear human skin again.”

Xu Zimo was stunned.

These dried corpses were powerful, yet they seemed forever trapped in this state.

They could not become human.

Nor could they leave the Three Corpse Cave.

This dried corpse must have had a dream.

A desire to leave this place and see the outside world.

“What exactly are you?” Xu Zimo asked, looking at it.

“I… I don’t know,” the dried corpse twisted its head, seeming confused.

“I don’t know who I am. From the moment I had memories, I’ve existed in this cave. I want to leave. Only this flesh of longevity can help me.”

“What’s inside that passage?” Xu Zimo asked.

The tunnel was pitch-black, and he could see nothing.

Lin Ruhu was likely inside, but he had no idea what else lay beyond.

“I don’t know,” the dried corpse shook its head.

“Inside… ah, my head hurts…”

It seemed to be trying to remember something.

Its expression turned ferocious as it screamed, clutching its head and writhing on the ground.

The sight was horrifying.

After who knew how long, the dried corpse finally stood up again.

Bloodlust filled its eyes.

“Die, die, die! My task is to kill everyone!”

Now it looked completely deranged, roaring as it charged at Xu Zimo.

Even when Xu Zimo dumped the flesh of longevity onto the ground, it took no notice.

Xu Zimo did not want to tangle with it further.

This thing simply could not be killed.

He glanced at the deep passage, clenched his teeth, and rushed inside.

When the dried corpse saw this, it seemed afraid.

It did not dare enter the depths of the passage.

Instead, it squatted on the ground, licking the minced flesh at its feet.

The so-called flesh of longevity.

But unfortunately, even after eating it, it did not grow new flesh.

Instead, it began retching violently.

Xu Zimo did not know where this passage led.

He could only keep running forward.

Following Lin Ruhu’s white thread, this was his final hope.
