I Really Am A Villain

Ch. 1642 - The Seventeenth God Beast Race

Hearing San Dao’s demand, High Leviathan’s expression shifted slightly. He narrowed his eyes and forced a smile. “Lord San Dao, that’s going too far. The Leviathan Race has its own secrets. How could we allow outsiders to enter as they please?”

“Then don’t blame me for wiping out your Leviathan Race today,” San Dao replied coldly. “Back in the Great Beyond, when the Heavensward Tower fell, your Leviathan Race must have suffered heavy losses as well. Today I want to see who among your clan can stop me.”

As he finished speaking, he waved his right hand.

“Shadow Slayer.” At his soft call, a blade-light exploded between heaven and earth, its blade intent sweeping across the entire Dragon Sea. Endless, surging killing intent burst forth. A blade flew out of the void and landed in the Saint Sovereign San Dao’ hand.

It was his first blade, Shadow Slayer. A blade of slaughter, indestructible, and one that always tasted blood when drawn.

Seeing the sky filled with rising blade-light, High Leviathan quickly said, “Lord San Dao, don’t be rash. Since you wish to investigate our Leviathan Race, then please, go ahead.”

High Leviathan waved his hand, releasing a surge of power. The void split apart. The vast Dragon Sea cracked open, revealing a sky-piercing passage leading straight to the seabed. Everything inside was clearly visible.

At the bottom of the Dragon Sea, countless ancient beasts roamed. Each one radiated terrifying strength, capable of overturning seas and stirring storms deep beneath the waters. Coral, seaweed, and other plants also grew there, but under the power of the Dao of Oblivion, they had forgotten everything, forgotten to grow, forgotten predators, growing like mindless puppets.

“Please, Lord San Dao,” High Leviathan gestured.

Xu Zimo glanced at San Dao and reminded him, “Be careful. It may be a trap.”

Entering the depths of the Dragon Sea meant stepping into the enemy’s home ground, a place full of hidden dangers and unknown mechanisms.

“Don’t worry. We’ve already investigated the Leviathan Race thoroughly,” San Dao said with a smile. “They can’t harm me.”

Since he spoke with such confidence, Xu Zimo said no more. San Dao walked ahead, Xu Zimo followed, and behind them came High Leviathan and several other Saint Sovereigns. High Leviathan signaled subtly, and one of the Saint Sovereigns slipped into the void and vanished.

Entering the domain of the Leviathan Race, one would never guess it was the Dragon Sea’s floor. The Leviathans had used spatial power to completely isolate the seabed, turning it into a true vacuum. The scenery was calm and picturesque. Countless Leviathans floated around them in various colors. Not all Leviathans took human form.

After a few minutes, San Dao stopped before an old stone stele hidden beneath weeds. Weathered and ancient, the stele bore a single character: “Realm.”

“High Leviathan, what is this?” asked the Saint Sovereign.

“A useless stone stele,” High Leviathan replied with a smile. “It was already here when our Leviathan Race arrived.”

“If so, shall I break it open and take a look?” San Dao said calmly. “I trust you won’t mind.”

“If Lord San Dao wishes to break it, then break it,” High Leviathan said, his tone now noticeably colder.

San Dao didn’t care. Shadow Slayer was already unsheathed. A surge of murderous blade intent exploded forth. With a deafening boom, the stele shattered. As it broke, invisible ripples spread through the surrounding void.

It was called a “realm stele” because a small world had been sealed within it. When that miniature world shattered, a black speck shot out of the void.

“Stay,” San Dao commanded.

His boundless blade intent cut off the black speck’s escape route. Xu Zimo could finally see it clearly, a pagoda. A seven-story pagoda glowing with flowing light, spinning rapidly. It seemed alive, emanating a mysterious aura.

San Dao raised his hand. Blade energy sealed the space around the pagoda, trapping it completely. He turned his gaze on High Leviathan. “High Leviathan, care to explain why something belonging to the Heavensward Tower is hidden inside your realm stele?”

“Lord San Dao, must you ask a question you already know the answer to?” High Leviathan replied leisurely. “Since things have reached this point, there’s no need to hide anything. You True Martial Sacred Ground won the Great Beyond War. You could have ruled the Absolute God Heaven peacefully.”

“Peacefully? As long as the Heavensward Tower existed, there was no peace,” San Dao snorted.

“No need for more talk,” High Leviathan said as he clapped his hands. “Do it.”

In an instant, countless Leviathans appeared throughout the void, all floating silently. A powerful spatial force radiated from their bodies, strong enough to exile anything it touched. These spatial forces merged together, forming a massive domain that trapped San Dao and Xu Zimo inside.

“If the True Martial Progenitor were here today, the Leviathan Race would admit defeat,” High Leviathan said calmly. “But you alone, a mere Dao Fruit cultivator, we can kill you if we exhaust all our foundations. The only pity is that after killing you, we’ll have to flee to the lower heaven. We’ve spent countless years laying out our plans in the Absolute God Heaven, only for it all to be ruined today. I am…unwilling.”

“The Supreme Ascendant of the Heavensward Tower who died in the Great Beyond, he was just a puppet, wasn’t he?” San Dao said. “You were the true mastermind.”

High Leviathan smiled faintly. “You’re not as stupid as I thought. But your arrogance will be your downfall. The Heavensward Tower has always been shrouded in mystery. Even the Ten God-Clans have long sought to uncover our secrets.”

“What is your goal?” asked San Dao. “Don’t tell me nonsense about maintaining balance in the Absolute God Heaven. We both know that’s a lie.”

“You know of the Sixteen Beast Races,” High Leviathan replied. “We plan to create a seventeenth.”

“Ambitious,” San Dao said, nodding. “Your Leviathan Race does indeed have the potential.”

Then his tone turned cold. “But you made one mistake, you should never have crossed the True Martial Sacred Ground.”
