I Really Am A Villain

Ch. 1484 - Violet Mist Saint Sovereign Battles The Undying Bird

Su Fangyun’s aura stretched far and wide, his strength overwhelming. He descended like a falling meteor, exploding before Realm Lord Bai in a thunderous blast. As a prodigy of his generation, his combat power was exceptional, and his battle experience deep. Though Bai was formidable in her own right, she could barely withstand his attacks.

At that moment, a dense veil of celestial energy surrounded Bai. Within that aura flickered the phantom of an ancient bell, the Heavenly Bell of Ancient Eternal God Realm. It absorbed most of the damage for her; without it, she would not have lasted this long.

“There’s a legend that during Ancient Eternal God Realm’s glorious age, a Saint Sovereign once lived there,” someone from the Fire Python Holy Lands remarked. “His name was the Heavenly Bell Saint Sovereign. Could it be that the technique she’s using is his Heavenly Bell Shield?”

Of all the people present, the Fire Python Holy Lands understood Ancient Eternal God Realm best, after all, they’d long schemed to annex it.

At those words, an elder of Ancient Eternal God Realm snorted coldly. “Yes, it is indeed one of the techniques left behind by our Heavenly Bell Saint Sovereign. Unfortunately, our later generations could not restore his might. Otherwise, your Fire Python Holy Lands would never have risen.”

As he spoke, he glanced toward Bai, who was now struggling under Su Fangyun’s relentless pressure, her situation growing dire. The elder quickly turned to Xu Zimo. “Young Master, please, save our Realm Lord!”

Xu Zimo smiled faintly. “Didn’t you all oppose her being my maid before?”

“We were ignorant then,” the elder said earnestly. “We didn’t know your true identity. But the Realm Lord has always respected you.”

“Let’s wait,” Xu Zimo said with a wave of his hand. “Your Realm Lord won’t die.”

He wasn’t in any rush to intervene. Instead, he watched Su Fangyun’s fighting style with interest.

The warriors of the Undying Fire God Realm had a distinctive way of fighting, their techniques were all modeled after the Undying Bird. In battle, they seemed like enraged divine birds. Arms like wings, legs like claws, and their bodies blazing with violet fire. That was the Undying Flame, said to heal any wound instantly. In its purest form, it manifested as the Undying Bird, a creature that could be slain and reborn again and again, truly immortal.

Though perhaps only a legend, possessing the Undying Flame made Su Fangyun nearly unbeatable.

Bai, relying on the divine technique left by her ancestor, still fell short. She had only just touched the threshold of the Grand Emperor realm, while Su Fangyun stood at its peak.

“Can you defeat him?” Xu Zimo asked Shangguan Xian.

Shangguan Xian, also at the peak of the Grand Emperor realm and now recovered from her injuries, shook her head. “He hasn’t shown his trump cards yet. I’m not sure. But I do know one thing, the Undying Fire God Realm’s immortal arts are formidable.”

“Violet Mist Saint Sovereign,” Xu Zimo said, “go take a look. You don’t have to kill him, just stop him.”

The Violet Mist Saint Sovereign nodded slightly. Violet energy flared from his palm, exploding like a blazing sun in midair, forcibly separating Bai and Su Fangyun.

Su Fangyun steadied himself, glaring at the newcomer, his gaze sharp as a blade.

“Back off,” said the Violet Mist Saint Sovereign.

“Who the hell do you think you are?” Su Fangyun sneered.

Before his words even faded, the Violet Mist Saint Sovereign moved. His body blurred into countless shadows, flickering through the void like a shifting mirage. In an instant, he appeared behind Su Fangyun, and with a resounding boom, his palm struck the man’s back, sending him flying.

“Kid, if you wish to boast, bring your elders from the Undying Fire God Realm,” the Violet Mist Saint Sovereign said coldly. “You’re not qualified.”

The might of a Saint Sovereign was not to be provoked. Su Fangyun crashed backward, eyes burning with fury. With a roar, violet energy erupted from him, coiling around his body. Behind him, a vast bird of violet flame spread its wings wide, blotting out the sky, the legendary Undying Bird.

Its cry shook the heavens, and the air itself burned away. The bird engulfed Su Fangyun completely, transforming into a sea of fire that plummeted from the heavens toward the Violet Mist Saint Sovereign.

The creature was incredibly fast, leaving a trail of molten air in its wake. The Violet Mist Saint Sovereign raised his glowing hands to block, golden light flaring across his palms. Another deafening explosion followed as the bird’s talons clamped onto his arms, violet fire raging violently.

The two forces clashed in deadlock. The Undying Bird screeched, forcing the Violet Mist Saint Sovereign backward, gouging deep scars into the earth beneath his feet.

“Get lost!” the Violet Mist Saint Sovereign roared. With a sudden twist, he threw the fiery creature aside.

Su Fangyun crashed into a cliffside, coughing blood as the phantom bird behind him dissipated into smoke. The Violet Mist Saint Sovereign raised his right hand again, gathering a streak of violet radiance, and unleashed it with a sharp thrust.

“I don’t need outsiders teaching the people of the Undying Fire God Realm,” a stern voice suddenly called out. The beam shattered midair.

The Violet Mist Saint Sovereign looked up. An old man in a crimson robe was flying swiftly toward them, divine power rolling off him in waves. He landed before Su Fangyun, glaring coldly at the Saint Sovereign. “You’ve gone too far.”

“He struck first,” Bai interjected.

“I’ll remember Ancient Eternal God Realm,” the old man replied icily.

Bai’s expression hardened, this was a naked threat.

“If the Undying Fire God Realm wants trouble, it can come to me,” Xu Zimo smiled, stepping forward. “My maid isn’t someone he can touch.”

“And who are you?” the old man asked with a frown.

“Xu Zimo of the Chaos Fire God Realm.”

“The Chaos Fire God Realm grows bolder by the day,” the old man sneered.

“Would you like to test that?” Xu Zimo asked calmly.

“There will be plenty of chances,” the old man said. “When the trials of the Radiant Lands begin, that will be the real battle.”

With that, he took Su Fangyun and left. It seemed that both the Undying Fire God Realm and the Shangguan Heavenly Clan were deliberately restraining themselves, none wished to ignite conflict before the journey to the Ancestral Lands began.

When the Undying Fire God Realm’s people departed, Wang Yunpeng was left trembling pale as death. He staggered backward, trying to flee, but the Violet Mist Saint Sovereign seized him with one hand.

“Young Master,” the Saint Sovereign asked, “how should we deal with him?”

“Just kill him. He’s an eyesore,” Xu Zimo said casually with a wave.

“You can’t kill me!” Wang Yunpeng struggled frantically. “I’m the young master of the Fire Python Holy Lands!”

The Violet Mist Saint Sovereign paid him no mind. He slammed Wang’s head to the ground, his hand forming a blade, and brought it down in a single, merciless strike.
