Ch. 1478 - Gathering of God Realms, Reunion With Xiao Anshan
The Hell Tiger Race came from the Hell Fire Region. It was said that they were the true rulers behind that region, even though on the surface it was governed by the Hell Fire God Realm.
The white tiger roared, and everyone along the way instinctively moved aside. No one dared to block its path.
The Hell Tiger Race moved with overwhelming arrogance and might, drawing countless eyes as they passed.
Only when the tiger vanished into the distance did the onlookers withdraw their gazes and quietly fall in behind them.
“So arrogant,” someone muttered in jealousy.
“When do you think we’ll ever be that domineering?” Wang Wei asked, his tone full of envy.
“Stop dreaming. When a tree grows too tall, it just attracts the wind,” the Realm Lord scolded sharply.
Wang Wei shrank his neck and dared not speak again.
By now, when they looked up, the outline of the Radiant Court was already visible.
It stood like a fortress suspended in the void, its peak glowing like the sun itself, merging seamlessly with the heavens. The searing heat that radiated from it, millions of degrees at least, made it clear that the hall itself was an extraordinary divine artifact.
After all, any structure worthy of housing the Radiant Court would naturally be no ordinary place.
At that moment, countless forces from all directions were converging upon the Radiant Court, all gathering toward the same goal.
Among them were powers no one had seen before, some known only by name.
Of the Seven Great God Realms, all had come except for the already-destroyed Departure Fire God Realm.
In the past, the Fire God Race’s Ancestral Lands had always been under the exclusive control of the Radiant Court; no one else could even dream of entering.
No one knew what lay within the Ancestral Lands, no one had ever seen it. Even the people of the Radiant Court themselves might not truly know, for only a handful had ever been allowed entry, and those who did never spoke of what they found.
Now that the Ancestral Lands were open to all, the temptation was immense.
Even those who knew the opportunity had nothing to do with them, like the people of the Ancient Eternal God Realm, couldn’t resist coming to witness it for themselves.
After traveling some distance, they finally arrived at the gathering place of the Radiant Court.
It was a mountain range, with a vast valley at its center. The valley was deep and open, with dozens of entrances.
The Ancient Eternal God Realm group entered from the southeastern gate, which happened to be under the control of the Hell Tiger Race.
The enormous white tiger lay crouched to one side, while the tiger-headed, human-bodied warriors stood guard in two rows.
As Xu Zimo and his group entered, several of the tiger guards swept their sharp gazes over them, as if inspecting for something.
“Where’s the Chaos Fire God Realm?” Xu Zimo asked.
“I don’t know,” the Realm Lord admitted helplessly. “There are too many factions here this time. Without the Radiant Court coordinating, it’s complete chaos, everyone’s just wandering around.”
“Then we’ll wait,” Xu Zimo said.
He led his group to a quiet corner to rest. The great elder of the Ancient Eternal God Realm and several others went off to mingle with other sects.
For an obscure sect like theirs, an occasion like this, where so many powerful forces were gathered, was a rare chance to make connections or perhaps form an alliance.
Xu Zimo, however, had no interest in such things. He reclined to rest while the Realm Lord calmly set out her tea set and began brewing tea once again, moving with practiced grace, like a true maid.
Meanwhile, the great elder’s attempts to socialize proved fruitless.
At first, a few people greeted him warmly, but as soon as they heard the name Ancient Eternal God Realm, their enthusiasm vanished.
An unknown, insignificant sect held no value in their eyes.
After being snubbed repeatedly, the elder and his companions returned, dejected and silent.
“Well, if it isn’t the Ancient Eternal God Realm,” came a mocking voice nearby. “Why are you sitting here all alone instead of seeking an alliance?”
Wang Yunpeng approached with a smirk, leading a group of people through the southeastern gate.
They weren’t just from the Fire Python Holy Lands, he had managed to ally with five or six other forces as well.
Clearly, the Fire Python Holy Lands still held impressive influence to rally so many in such a short time.
“Wang Yunpeng, if you’ve got something to say, just spit it out,” Lu Wuming snapped.
“If you refuse to cooperate with our Fire Python Holy Lands, then none of the other factions will ally with you either. Do you understand the words ‘a dead end’?” Wang Yunpeng said smugly.
“Are you done? If so, get lost,” the Realm Lord said coolly, unmoved by his taunts.
“Bai, I’ll give you one last chance. Don’t be so ignorant of what’s good for you,” Wang Yunpeng said coldly.
“Get lost. Didn’t you hear her?” Lu Wuming shouted.
“Fine, have it your way,” Wang Yunpeng said with a sneer, then turned and led his group away.
Xu Zimo paid no attention to such trivial pests. Instead, he asked, “What do you think the Radiant Court is up to, keeping everyone waiting like this? Do they have something planned?”
“They’re probably waiting for everyone to arrive,” the Realm Lord replied.
Xu Zimo nodded slightly.
Time passed, and one by one, the great powers gathered.
The leading forces of the other Seven Great God Realms arrived as well, the Hell Tiger Race, the Vermilion Bird Race, and even the Chaos Fire God Realm.
The Chaos Fire God Realm’s delegation was led by none other than the Fire Ancestor himself, showing how seriously they took this event.
As the great powers assembled, the smaller factions naturally clustered around them like stars orbiting planets.
Wang Yunpeng, of course, was doing his best to worm his way into their circles, bowing and scraping like a sycophant.
Xu Zimo turned to the Realm Lord and said, “Go over there and tell that man that Xu Zimo is looking for him.”
He pointed toward Xiao Anshan.
Back during the Chaos Fire God Realm’s internal trials, the top three had been Xu Zimo, Xiao Anshan, and Shangguan Xian.
Afterward, Xu Zimo had left, while Shangguan Xian and Violet Mist Saint Sovereign likely came later from Ocean Sage City.
Of those three, the only one Xu Zimo was personally close to was Xiao Anshan.
“You’re not joking, are you?” the Realm Lord asked skeptically. “I’ve heard that man has the Primordial-Flame God-King Physique, his status is extremely high. If we offend him, the Ancient Eternal God Realm could be wiped out in an instant.”
“Just trust me. Go,” Xu Zimo said with a light smile.
The Realm Lord hesitated for a long moment, then finally took a deep breath and walked toward the group.
As she approached, Wang Yunpeng immediately noticed her.
“Well, well, Realm Lord Bai,” he said coldly. “This doesn’t seem like a place where you belong. Must you always try to squeeze in where you don’t fit?”
“Maybe you should take a look at your own disgusting face first,” she replied with disdain.
She strode past him and entered the gathering. Wang Yunpeng snorted derisively.
“Let’s see how she humiliates herself,” he muttered.
He certainly didn’t believe the Realm Lord could possibly know any of the major figures there. If she did, the Ancient Eternal God Realm wouldn’t be so pitifully obscure.
The Realm Lord stopped in front of Xiao Anshan.
“Do you need something?” Xiao Anshan asked.
