I Really Am A Villain

Ch. 1307 - Guardian Formation Activates, Vast Heaven God Realm Descends

New Novel🪶

Wu Zhaodi landed gracefully, and the Celestial Luan that had fallen from the void erupted in a boundless divine radiance.

It was as if it had shed its old body and been reborn, like a carp leaping over the Dragon Gate. The celestial bird shone with endless immortal light, illuminating half the sky.

In the distance, Desolate Emperor immediately stood up from his seat.

“The Heavenly God Luan…” he muttered, his face twisted in hatred. “I knew that wretch didn’t pass everything on to me. This secret art, besides her daughter, no one else could possibly know it.”

He had served diligently for years under the former Realm Lord of Celestial Luan God Realm, all for the sake of mastering this Celestial Luan Divine Art.

But his master had never taught it to him. After years of frustration, he finally lost patience and overthrew her.

Hunting down Wu Zhaodi had not only been to eliminate the last trace of the former master’s legacy, it was also to seize the method of cultivating the Heavenly God Luan.

Over the years, he had even created his own variant, the Blood Luan.

Though he had never faced the true Heavenly God Luan before, he was eager to see which one would prove stronger. His Blood Luan or the original immortal art.

After the flash of divine light, the Celestial Luan’s wounds completely vanished.

Its aura grew ethereal, almost sacred, as if it were cloaked in holy feathers.

Its cry rang sharp and pure, echoing across the heavens and resounding throughout the Celestial Luan God Realm.

“This Heavenly God Luan, it looks just like the one carved in the statue of our ancestral founder,” a disciple whispered.

Indeed, the palace’s founding ancestor had a statue in the very heart of Celestial Luan God Realm, depicting that same divine bird, revered by all.

“Watch your words,” another disciple quickly warned.

Right now, Wu Zhaodi was considered a remnant of a fallen faction. No matter how dazzling her Heavenly God Luan appeared, so what?

A prodigy may inspire awe, but before they mature, they are nothing.

Silence fell. Only the cries of the Heavenly God Luan and Blood Luan pierced the air, clashing like waves crashing against each other, their power rising higher and higher.

The Blood Luan turned into a crimson streak, slicing through the void as it dove once more.

The Heavenly God Luan remained motionless, the mist of immortal light thickening around it. When the Blood Luan neared, the Heavenly God Luan’s great wings suddenly flared, scattering several radiant feathers.

Those feathers struck like divine blades, swatting the Blood Luan from the air.

Cracks split the ground beneath it, though the altar’s ancient strength kept it from shattering.

The Blood Luan twitched a few times, then went still.

Nearby, Lu Zhi’an coughed up blood, his organs crushed, his body trembling.

Just one strike had left him on the brink of death.

“H–How…?” he muttered weakly, consciousness fading.

High above, the Heavenly God Luan hovered like a lonely immortal. Its feathers fell in a storm, transforming into blades of light that rained down like a sword storm from the heavens.

“Master, save me!” Lu Zhi’an screamed with the last of his strength.

In the sky, Desolate Emperor’s expression darkened. His figure vanished in an instant, not to save Lu Zhi’an, but to strike at Wu Zhaodi.

His hand extended, reaching out to capture her.

“Not good!” Grandpa Wang shouted as he noticed the sudden movement.

Xu Zimo’s eyes narrowed. He raised his right hand, and boundless spirit energy exploded outward, condensing into an enormous hand that met Desolate Emperor’s strike head-on.

The clash detonated through the air, the sound of explosions echoing endlessly across the heavens.

“Who are you?” Desolate Emperor demanded, his body flung backward. His gaze sharpened, and when he looked down at his hand, his palm was seared and stinging from the impact.

Before Xu Zimo could respond, a scream cut through the air, Lu Zhi’an’s final cry.

The sword rain fell.

Lu Zhi’an’s body was pierced through by a thousand blades. He died with his eyes open, full of unwillingness.

Wu Zhaodi recalled her Heavenly God Luan and retreated to Xu Zimo’s side.

“Activate the Guardian Formation!” an elder shouted, finally regaining his senses.

Desolate Emperor frowned slightly. He pulled a token from his robe and flung it into the air.

The token soared into the sky and burst into dazzling multicolored light.

It was the activation key to the great protective formation, without it, no one could trigger the formation.

At once, the sound of Celestial Luans crying filled the air across the palace. Looking up, millions of Celestial Luans soared into the heavens, circling as they formed the five elemental forces of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth.

“This is the Five Elements Celestial Luan Formation. Be careful,” Grandpa Wang warned Xu Zimo.

“This formation was laid by the founding ancestor himself. Though its power has waned over the ages, it remains formidable.”

“Don’t worry,” Xu Zimo replied lightly. “I’m not the main character in this battle anyway.”

As the protective formation came to life, the disciples of Celestial Luan God Realm finally felt a bit more at ease.

“I don’t know where you found the courage to return here,” Desolate Emperor sneered. “Ah, I see, you’ve found yourself a backer.”

His gaze locked on Xu Zimo. The one who had met his earlier strike, it had been him.

“And who might you be?” Desolate Emperor demanded.

“Don’t get the wrong idea,” Xu Zimo said casually. “I’m not her backer. I’m just here to watch the show. Her real backer is someone else.”

“Who?” one of the elders asked sharply.

Before he could finish, the Five Elements Celestial Luan Formation began to shudder violently.

A chorus of Celestial Luan cries filled the air, full of pain.

Then…

Boom!

A deafening explosion rocked the heavens. The entire formation shattered apart.

“This Celestial Luan God Realm has a new Realm Lord,” a laughing voice echoed from above. “Vast Heaven God Realm has come to offer congratulations!”

Xu Zimo recognized the voice, it was none other than the Martial Spirit Saint Sovereign.

Moments later, billions of warships appeared in the sky, surrounding the Celestial Altar from all sides.

The disciples below were thrown into chaos and fear.

At the head of the fleet stood the Martial Spirit Saint Sovereign himself.

Qi Haoran did not appear, clearly, he had no interest in involving himself in this matter.

“It’s the Vast Heaven God Realm,” one elder whispered.

“I can see that,” Desolate Emperor said flatly.

He stepped forward and raised his voice. “I wonder what brings the esteemed elders of Vast Heaven God Realm to our gates today?”

“We came to congratulate your new Realm Lord,” the Martial Spirit Saint Sovereign said with an easy smile. “But when we arrived, your formation trapped us inside. That’s not very polite, is it?”

His voice was friendly, but the overwhelming saintly pressure radiating from his body pressed heavily upon Desolate Emperor.

Desolate Emperor’s face paled. Though he had reached the level of Sovereign Lord, he was still a step short of becoming a Saint Sovereign.

“It was our negligence,” he said through gritted teeth, scanning the countless warships surrounding them.

“Vast Heaven God Realm came to offer congratulations, surely such a massive show of force isn’t necessary?”

“On the contrary,” the Martial Spirit Saint Sovereign replied with a grin. “It only proves how important your new Realm Lord must be.”

“Then I must thank you for the honor,” Desolate Emperor said, forcing a smile.

“However, I still have some personal matters to deal with. Since you’ve come from afar, I’ll have someone escort you to rest.”

“No need for that,” the Martial Spirit Saint Sovereign said, his tone turning colder. “Besides offering congratulations, we’re also here… to settle a score.”
