Chapter 82: Chapter 81: Commander-in-Chief, a Situation to Report

The moment the words left her mouth, Lin Zhenxiang realized she had come across as too... impatient.

’But I’ve already started. I can’t just end it so abruptly and watch that trashy woman get away with it. I refuse to accept this!’

’My uncle was right!’

’That trashy woman is my jinx!’

’If that weren’t the case, why did everything around me start spinning out of control the moment she showed up? Why is everything I worked so hard to build starting to crumble?!’

’I have to drive her back to the Lower Star District!’

’Or send her to the interstellar prison!’

Lin Zhenxiang pressed her lips together, grinding her teeth in secret. Her eyes were filled with loathing and malice, yet her face wore the pitiful expression of someone who had been grievously wronged.

She maintained this look for two seconds in front of the Commander-in-Chief before turning to the nonchalant Shu Yao. Her gaze was resentful, grief-stricken, and full of accusation, as if she were looking at an unforgivable sinner.

Shu Yao tilted her head, looking utterly harmless, her tone baffled.

"What did I do?"

Lin Zhenxiang looked like she was about to speak, then stopped. The next moment, she bit her lip and fell silent.

Seizing the opportunity, Huo Jiao stepped forward to lodge a complaint, "Commander-in-Chief, sir, this girl from the Lower Star District..."

Qin Shiwei shot her a cold, sharp glance.

Huo Jiao’s voice caught in her throat. One moment she was bold and self-righteous, the next she was like a clown whose true, pathetic form had been exposed by terror. Her entire body trembled like a leaf.

Seeing this, Edgar became anxious.

Just then, an arm fell across his shoulder. He turned his head to meet Yerman’s gaze—a half-smile that wasn’t a smile at all, filled with warning. A chill ran down his spine, and any thought of playing the hero to save the damsel in distress vanished without a trace.

The entire classroom felt like it was at the heart of a brewing storm. It seemed that anyone who made a sound would be mercilessly dragged into the tempest and torn to shreds.

Almost everyone was deathly silent, breathing with extreme caution.

Lin Zhenxiang felt all her support vanish in an instant. Dazed, she subconsciously glanced toward Wan Shanyan.

Ever since Shu Yao had arrived at Imperial High School, the atmosphere had become toxic.

Wan Shanyan loathed her, viewing her as a single mouse dropping that could ruin a whole pot of soup. She wanted nothing more than to kick this student out of Imperial High School at the earliest opportunity.

’This is the perfect opportunity!’

After shooting Shu Yao a hostile glare, Wan Shanyan braced herself against the Commander-in-Chief’s intimidating presence and forced herself to speak.

"Commander-in-Chief, sir, I am Wan Shanyan, the Director of Teaching at Imperial High School, and I have something to report—

"This student hasn’t even completed her elementary or middle school studies, yet yesterday she pulled strings to transfer into our school’s graduating class! Nothing like this has ever happened in the entire history of Imperial High School!

"Since her arrival, she’s used some sort of despicable tactic to lure two top students from Class One into the worst class in the grade! Furthermore, I suspect she’s involved in today’s campus attack!"

"Director Wan," Qin Shiwei began thoughtfully, "if I understand you correctly, you want me to use my supreme authority to punish an innocent student who hasn’t even broken any school rules, simply because you find her personally disagreeable?"

Wan Shanyan’s face went pale, and she hurriedly denied it. "No, no, no, that’s not what I meant at all!"

The chill in Qin Shiwei’s eyes was piercing. "And as for your suspicions, do you have any evidence?"

"Ev... evidence..." Wan Shanyan stammered, her flustered gaze falling on Lin Zhenxiang, who was pressing her lips together in a wronged pout. "Lin Zhenxiang?"

All eyes fell on Lin Zhenxiang, as if waiting for her to provide a convincing answer or some irrefutable piece of evidence that would seal someone’s fate.

Lin Zhenxiang, who had always loved being the center of attention, was not enjoying this moment in the slightest. On the contrary, she was utterly furious.

’Every single one of them is so useless!’

’In the end, I still have to do everything myself!’

Tears instantly welled up in Lin Zhenxiang’s eyes. She began to sob, saying in a small voice, "Commander-in-Chief, sir, I’m sure you’re aware of the bad blood between Sister Shu and me..."
