It had happened when Night first suggested they leave for an adventure.

[Dream], being well... [Dream], had immediately noticed Night had stupidly raised a death flag.

I mean, how stupid would it be if nothing serious happened when a Main Character like Night decided to go on an adventure, right?

If you didn’t immediately come to this conclusion, then that only meant you had not read enough webnovels.

Webnovels... what a mysterious thing.

At first, [Dream] had not paid them much attention. But when Night repeatedly praised them and even claimed most of his decisions were made because of the knowledge about webnovels he received from Levi Rose, she couldn’t help but be curious.

So, instead of asking him to tell her the stories, she simply scanned Night’s memories and read all of them in a single moment.

Of course, she did it after asking him.

And Night, being Night, didn’t care and allowed her to do it anyway.

It was only after she read them that she realized their true worth. It was as if they contained the solutions to every single problem a person would face after reincarnating into a fantasy world. It was like a guide book for reincarnator or transmigrators.

’Fantasy’, that term intrigued her.

After all, it had a lot of connections to her Dream Aspect. In many ways, her Dream Aspect was a fantasy. It allowed her to create imaginary, unreal things, and if needed entire worlds.

But that was not the point.

The point was, because she had read them, as soon as Night claimed he wanted to go on an adventure, alarm bells rang in her head. Every fiber of her being refused to ignore such an obvious death flag.

Unknowingly, she had already assumed Night was a Main Character.

I mean, he was genuine, caring, empathetic, protective, small, and cute. He was a child with an unfortunate past, with no parents to return to and no place to call home. Of course, that was before he met his summons, but still. That part of his tragic past was undeniable.

He was the definition of a Main Character in a tragic webnovel.

If Night was not a Main Character, then who was? Lucy? All she did was dream about raw meat all day.

Hence, Night was definitely the Main Character.

So she immediately peeked into his destiny and was truly surprised by what she found.

It was not just a single death flag, but an entire series of death flags. It looked less like a coincidence and more like the world itself had meticulously planned his death.

But [Dream] didn’t panic or give up.

Instead, she hastened the events.

Things that should have happened over a span of years happened in one week. Not just that, she went even further. When she didn’t find anything worthwhile in his immediate future, she started checking the destiny of those around him.

And from all this knowledge, she created a master plan and executed it.

Because of her pulling the strings, Sara, who should have died ten years from now died in a single week. Blade, who should have evolved into her new form a thousand years from now, also evolved at the same time, much earlier than when it was supposed to happen.

Not just that, Vivianne, whom Night should have met fifty years from now in the futures he survived while trying to find ways to revive Sara, appeared now, moments after Sara died.

And most of all, Night himself, who should have only awakened his Main Body ten years from now when Sara died at the hands of Diana, awakened now.

She didn’t try to change the events outright.

"Changing them too much is the exact same as postponing them and just waiting for a worse disaster to happen," she shook her head.

So she let them happen, but she manipulated the timelines in a way that favored them.

According to the original timeline, [Zethe-thoth] and Alze-beus would have fought Sara ten years from now.

By then, Sara would have become the strongest human on Earth and would have become a direct threat to [Zethe-thoth], who sought to gobble up the world.

It was in that battle that Sara would have fallen.

[Dream] also found something ridiculous when she went through the various threads of destiny.

The merger that everyone assumed was supposed to happen in four to five years would not happen as predicted. For some reason, it had been pushed back drastically. The merger would actually happen a hundred years from now.

She didn’t know the exact reason, but now that she put two and two together, she came to a conclusion.

"The Dead God in Death Zone No. 1," [Dream] muttered.

She didn’t know how a dead God could manage to do something as terrifying as delaying a merger even after it had died, but the Cosmos was full of mysteries, and anything was possible.

Someone like her, walking a path as unreal as Dreams, should be the last person to complain about it.

"The Death Zone is also called the Nightmare Domain, and Night’s Unique Skill happens to have the same name. It is way too much of a coincidence," [Dream] thought.

She didn’t believe much in coincidences. With her mastery over destiny, she knew everything happened for a reason; the only thing was - either you were the cause of it, or you were the effect.

"It is easy to forget that Night is not the boy’s real name; it is [Nightmare]... It is as if he is some kind of reincarnation of that God. If that’s the case, then I am afraid this situation is something beyond my control."

While [Dream] knew she was not the strongest, she knew she was certainly not weak either, even though she was currently just a fragment of her past self.

But if her guess was right, this Dead God might be something far beyond what she had ever seen in long life.

"There is a good chance the Dead God might not have even been from this Cosmos. Maybe he is from another Cosmos, and his corpse just happened to land on this planet after he died for unknown reasons."

Unlike other Gods, [Dream] was fully aware that other Cosmoses existed beyond the Void. She had even been to a couple of them using [Dream Descent]. All of them had been weaker than their Cosmos, but that didn’t mean a stronger Cosmos didn’t exist out there.

For all she knew, there could be other Cosmoses where Primordial Gods were as common as the stars.

The only other person in this Cosmos she guessed could do something similar to her [Dream Decent] was probably the Dream Sovereign. Unlike what others thought, the inevitable fight between her and the Dream Sovereign was unavoidable.

There were far too many reasons they both wanted each other dead. If she had not taken the initiative, the Dream Sovereign would have definitely attacked her the moment he knew she was aware of his many secrets.

Even if he didn’t find out, he still would have killed her just to prevent any leaks. After all, she knew one of his most guarded secrets.

[Dream] chuckled evilly. "It was only after I performed [Dream Descent] a couple of times that I finally understood..."

It had not been obvious at first, but as she experienced more foreign Cosmoses, she came to a startling realization.

[Dream]’s eyes gleamed sharply. "You are not from this Cosmos, are you..."

Yes. The Dream Sovereign was a invader.

She didn’t know how or why he was able to stay in their Cosmos for so long.

From what [Aqua] had informed her, he rose to prominence soon after the Primordial Gods dominated the Cosmos, around the time Cosmic Beings and Cosmic Beasts disappeared or went into hiding, according to her, he had been alive ever since.

He was the reason the Dream Realm was so well developed and prospering.

But if he had come to their Cosmos using a technique similar to [Dream Descent], by now the Cosmos should have kicked him out by force. Yet that didn’t happen, and he was still here.

And knowing him, he would set his sights on the Dead God’s corpse as well. After all, someone like him probably knew more about it than she did.

Coming back to the topic at hand, she truly didn’t know if Night was the reincarnation of the Dead God or just someone who stumbled into a real lucky coincidence.

What she did know was that the Dead God was his birthright.

If that corpse belonged to anyone, it was not the mysterious Void God [Zethe-thoth], nor the Dream Sovereign himself. It belonged to Night.

And she would make sure he got it.

After all, it was her fault Night was turned into a Player.

She didn’t know exactly what the Tower of Games signified, but from the way [Zethe-thoth] had reacted to it, she was sure it was not a safe place.

Most of all, deep down, she felt jumpy every time she even thought of the Tower of Games.

It was as if her whole being was warning her that even thinking about that place was enough to bring her bad luck.

Shaking her head, she looked at the others covered in cocoons of Nightmare Mist. Even the paralyzed Vivianne and the baby snake were not spared.

[Dream] covered her mouth and chuckled softly. "He must have thought that just him getting stronger was not enough... How thoughtful."

"Maybe if I had a physical body, I wouldn’t have minded going through something similar," she whispered, an unknown gleam flickering in her eyes.
