Chapter 228: Getting Close To The Centre

The next day, the group set forth once again, moving closer to the endpoint.

Right now, they are heading towards more than halfway towards the goal, and we are very close to finishing this thing once and for all today.

A massive pangolin just crashed in front of Raiden with the hole in his chest.

Behind him, a small green swallow appeared, the same one Theodore had released yesterday.

"Good job, Lily!! You fought extremely bravely." Theodore shouted.

"Chriip!!~" The bird dove down and nuzzled his cheek before flying up and disappearing once again.

Ever since yesterday, Theodore had taken the lead in fighting back against the enemies, insisting that he fight all the battles himself, not giving Raiden a chance.

This apparently helped him a lot, as his moves became increasingly proficient as he got better at commanding his Terra Beasts.

This was the benefit of real battles. They taught you something that can’t be taught in classrooms, and by gaining experience in battles, Theodore became increasingly stronger and more confident in himself.

He had requested that Raiden not interfere in his fight unless it was life and death. Raiden also supported him, feeling very happy to slack off in the back.

"All right, after we step forwards from here, we are going to enter the core area of the domain. It is full of Platinum Tier Terra Beasts. We’ve got to be really careful, okay?" He turned around and warned with an extremely serious look on his face, and both Raiden and Aria nodded.

"But I don’t think we need to worry too much about it, since the clan won’t put too many of them in here. Otherwise, this challenge would be impossible. The strongest person who entered is Gold Tier after all." He added a little light tone afterwards.

"You are right. I am not too worried about the wild Terra Beasts. I am much more worried about the rest of the competitors. Have you guys noticed something??" Raiden spoke up, causing both of the siblings to turn their heads towards him.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Aria felt confused. She was a little slow on things like these.

"Ever since yesterday afternoon, we haven’t faced a single challenger on the way. It’s like they all disappeared together. If you ask me, there is a conspiracy here." Raiden pointed it out, causing one of them to fall silent as a grim expression appeared on their faces.

"You are right. I fear that they all may have banded together to fight against us. The next part is going to be the most challenging one ever since we came here." A very, very serious expression appeared on Theodore’s face.

Raiden noticed the sombre mood between the siblings before he clapped his hands loudly.

"I don’t think you guys need to worry too much about it, though. Move forward with bravery. You guys have me; I promise you won’t lose to anybody else. I am strongest here after all." Raiden pointed out, causing both siblings to relax.

That’s right. They had this perverted guy with them. No matter how strong the opponent is, could they take down 4 Platinum Terra Beasts under a minute??

Raiden blinked his eyes as he read the message in front of him. Who was the system talking about? Him? Arrogant! No way! He thought he was the humblest person in the world.

"Stupid system, you’re glitching once again."

"Bullshit!! I’ll deal with you later." Raiden ignored it and started moving forward once again.

A certain sheep, on the other hand, was sulking the entire way through.

This stupid damned human- he had no idea why, but he was not letting him fight at all. He tried to sneak forward multiple times to battle something, but this cunning human was extremely fast, catching him in his claws before he could do anything.

He felt very frustrated with it. He was not a domestic sheep; he was Emperor Woolie!!! He didn’t belong in the back, but on the front lines.

"Woolie!!" I’m warning you, human! If you don’t let me fight the next time, I’ll rebel!!

"Yes, yes, you can fight the next time, but only if Rose and Neva can’t beat them. Okay, you are our final battle trump card since you are the strongest!!~"

Raiden tried to dupe the small sheep once again.

"Woolie...?? Woo Woolie Woo!!" Really...?? Wait, no way!! You are tricking me again this time. You said this same thing yesterday, and I never got to fight even once!! This time I am going to take the lead!!

Raiden felt speechless as they looked at him. Since when did this guy become so smart?? He thought this guy’s IQ only worked during the battles.

"You can’t think like that, okay? You are the big brother. You have to take care of everyone else. Let your little sisters go first. That’s your responsibility."

"Woolie??" Really??

Woolie tilted his face in suspicion.

"Yes, really, I am also a big brother. I am telling the truth; you must believe me. Have I ever lied to you?" Raiden spoke with a straight face.

He ignored it and went back to duping Woolie once again. After more than ten minutes of convincing, he was finally able to place the little sheep for now, but he didn’t know how long he could keep it up.

"Yo, young miss Aria, I’m afraid your journey ends here." An extremely arrogant voice sounded from the distance as a guy walked forward with hundreds of people following behind him.
