Chapter 2252: Chapter 2245: Preparing a Grand Gift for Our Young Prince Lin

With the disappearance of the ancient human soul shards, the recently born quantum ghost eggs instantly lost their breath of life, beginning to wither and shrivel.

Zhang Menglong walked up to the stone slab. The ancient human soul he had just destroyed was hiding within this slab, and it seemed this stone could be quite valuable.

This time, there was no power left to protect this slab. Zhang Menglong took it from the mechanical station, “Gou Dan, help me analyze this!”

[Dean, this thing is quite interesting. It looks like a stone slab, but internally it’s composed entirely of highly complex metal structures; it’s a product of technological civilization.]

“Oh?” Zhang Menglong had an inkling earlier that this particular ancient human seemed not to possess particularly strong soul power. Zhang Menglong even doubted that when the ancient human was alive, their physical power might not have been very strong either.

The last time he saw an epic battle between an ancient god and the ancient human soul shards, the scene was unforgettable for Zhang Menglong—an intensity akin to gods clashing.

Yet today’s ancient human not only had a much weaker soul but also fewer combat tactics. Now Zhang Menglong even suspected it might be one of the weakest among the ancient humans of that era.

It seems now there might be two entirely different evolution paths.

This ancient human created beings like quantum ghosts and possessed such complex technological slabs. If this was accomplished alone, it would surely require immense knowledge in genetic modification, mechanics, etc.—essentially a scientific path of evolution.

While the ancient god in the blood pond solely relied on overwhelming soul power to kill.

The two seem to be distinct developmental paths, corresponding to the differing life evolution directions of this era.

“Could there have been two development directions of science and theology in that age?”

[Dean, this thing is quite superb; it has a large internal space, and can even preserve life, almost blocking any soul attack of any form. From what we currently know, ultimate life form-level soul power cannot penetrate this slab to attack those hiding inside.]

“Oh? What a good thing this is!” Zhang Menglong’s eyes lit up.

In the future, he would face many ancient humans, almost all existing in soul body form, thus most of their attack methods are soul attacks. Possessing this slab almost puts Zhang Menglong in an unbeatable position.

[Dean, there’s also a mecha here!]

“What kind of mecha?”

Zhang Menglong used his spiritual power to scan inside the slab, erasing the original mental imprint. The space within the slab was practically equivalent to a small world.

And to his astonishment, he discovered the slab’s interior resembled a giant mechanical factory!

The factory was still in assembly-line production of biological weapons like quantum ghosts, revealing itself to be the true birthplace of these quantum ghosts, with the underground space being merely a hatchery!

“What is this thing?” Zhang Menglong saw in the middle of the factory, a colossal tank.

This tank stood at least several kilometers high; Zhang Menglong had never seen anything like it in reality.

Inside the tank was a red liquid, and within the liquid, there were nauseating things churning—the origin of the quantum ghosts came from here.

“Could this be the flesh and blood of the ancient human?” Zhang Menglong resisted the urge to vomit.

That guy truly was ruthless, to apply science to himself.

By sacrificing flesh to create quantum ghosts to collect souls, he could repair his soul, leading to resurrection.

Zhang Menglong believed, with his ability, he could easily create a powerful body to contain his soul—a body even his original might not compare to.

“Where’s the mecha you mentioned?” Zhang Menglong asked.

[Dean, it’s here!] Gou Dan immediately marked a location.

Zhang Menglong’s attention quickly shifted to the area marked by Gou Dan, leaving him momentarily stunned like being struck by lightning.

A gigantic metal mecha, tens of thousands of meters tall, stood there. The mecha wasn’t intact, with numerous scars visible on its surface, and the head and arms completely dismantled—evidence of a fierce battle.

“Could the ancient human have once relied on the mecha to battle the ancient god?” Zhang Menglong couldn’t help but speculate.

[Dean, I found a piece of information!]

Gou Dan immediately played a video for Zhang Menglong.

In a desolate, chaotic landscape, at the center stood a giant, tens of thousands of meters tall, surrounded by many giants ranging from a few thousand to tens of thousands of meters closing in.

Among them were various types of giant mechas mixed in.

Yet the besieged giant fought like a war god, smashing one giant after another, even tearing out some giants’ spines to use as weapons.

Zhang Menglong almost viewed this war from the mecha’s first-person perspective.

The mecha punched the giant back a little step, but instantly, a huge hand grabbed the mecha’s head and crushed it.

Almost simultaneously, the mecha’s longsword pierced the giant’s body, but the giant seemed oblivious to the pain, ripping the metal arm holding the sword off.

Then, the footage disappeared abruptly…

“Is that giant an ancient god?” Zhang Menglong stared incredulously at the mecha, “It actually harmed an ancient god!”

“Gou Dan, have the ancient god and ancient humans truly transcended the ultimate life form?” Zhang Menglong asked.

[In my database, there’s no relevant information, but it’s highly likely!] Gou Dan answered.

“Do any of my elderly relatives reach such heights?”

[Among the dean’s ancestors, the strongest has reached the peak of the ultimate life form, and there are quite a few of them. However, anything above this life level is still a blind spot.]

“If you say so, if any ancient humans revive before we find them, we would be powerless,” Zhang Menglong looked at the colossal mecha, “Can this thing be repaired?”

If human strength can’t defeat ancient humans, then use magic against magic. If this mecha can harm an ancient god, it can certainly harm ancient humans. It might become Zhang Menglong’s trump card in the future.

[Perhaps we can try this out! There are plenty of materials in this slab space and the system has the mecha’s schematics. It shouldn’t be much of a problem to analyze it.]

“That’s good,” Zhang Menglong breathed a sigh of relief.

[Dean, how should we handle these quantum ghosts?]

“Handle them? Why handle them?” Zhang Menglong revealed a sly smile, “Can we modify their commands? We’re soon heading back to the Holy Kingdom of God-descendants; shouldn’t we prepare a generous gift for our newly-born prince, Lin?”
