Chapter 1349 - 855: Seven Saints of Great Xia (5)

"Meow~~" A streak of silver lightning darted through the city streets and alleys.

The Desolate Silver Lynx ran wildly, its sharp howling echoing through the empty Ancient Pine Tower City, sounding exceptionally piercing.

"Slow down, Baojun." Du Yu cradled her head with both hands, his body almost flying horizontally in the air.

"Does this city belong to you?" The Desolate Silver Lynx slowed its pace, stepping onto the crosswalk and looking around at the intersection.

"Not really." Du Yu also surveyed his surroundings, "It’s just that everyone has left, and I’m still living here."

The streets were cold and deserted, and even vehicles were nowhere in sight.

In the past few months, the Demon Spirit Squad had orderly delivered various properties remaining in the city to the original residents of Ancient Pine Tower.

This made Ancient Pine Tower City even more empty.

"If it’s unclaimed, it’s yours." The Desolate Silver Lynx placed a paw on a building wall and activated the Demon Skill· Mountain Earth Concealment, its silver claw leaving a shallow imprint.

"You rascal." Du Yu laughed, patting her head and holding her.

Du Yu didn’t blame her; after all, Baojun had the mindset of a beast.

In nature, not to mention unclaimed items, even if they belong to someone, so what?

Just snatch them.

The Silver Cat walked along the building’s exterior wall, step by step reaching the top of the commercial building.

As a queen, she enjoyed this feeling of being high above.

With just one glance, she found her ultimate target, the tallest building in the city.

That was where she could truly put the entire city under her feet.

Similarly, Du Yu also noticed the slender figure standing on the Emperor Mansion in the distance.

The woman appeared to be in her mid-thirties, with distinctly Western features.

Her head of long, curly red hair and white V-neck women’s blouse made her seem exceptionally bold, even a bit wild?

Fire Candle Silver Flower·Liao Sha.

She hailed from the Icefield, the northernmost province of Great Xia, and was the only mixed-blood among the Seven Saints of Great Xia.

Furthermore, Liao Sha was the only Demon Tamer among the Seven Saints who followed the Magic Mechanical School.

Du Yu had had brief encounters with the Mechanical Civilization.

Back during the Xuena City assessment, Du Yu had met several contestants from the Icefield Province.

Their demon pets were each unique, with black steam trains, gear-covered mechanical bears, and the adorable Spring Bee...

Regarding the Seven Saints of Great Xia, Du Yu certainly had some understanding.

So, when this uniquely-statused Demon Tamer sought him out, Du Yu was quite surprised.

Why isn’t this senior staying in the Icefield and running inland?

As Du Yu pondered, the Desolate Silver Lynx had already dashed toward the Emperor Mansion.

Liao Sha naturally noticed the approaching figure, her green eyes subtly lighting up.

Paper Crane Disciple·Du Yu.

Finally, you have come!

"Tap, tap, tap."

The woman, in black high heels, stopped at a corner of the railing.

Liao Sha looked down and saw a giant silver beast climbing the exterior wall of the Emperor Mansion, flying upwards.

"Meow!" The Desolate Silver Lynx roared, suddenly leaping and soaring past the woman.

"Ssss..." Mist sprayed from Du Yu’s feet as he pushed the Desolate Silver Lynx forcefully toward the rooftop.

He looked back, just in time to see the other party also looking back.

The woman showed a bright smile, warm and seductive.

Honestly, Du Yu was a bit bewildered.

Earlier, he had already realized from a distance how incredibly alluring Liao Sha was.

Now, seeing her up close...

Goodness~

Du Yu had seen many Saints before, the Seven Saints, either all seemed weathered or ancient, mostly with the air of ancient times.

But the Demon Taming Saint before him was truly overly beautiful and fashionable.

"I’ve long admired your name, Little Du Yu." Liao Sha, in high heels, stepped forward and extended her hand to Du Yu.

Du Yu had never encountered such a welcoming Saint; he quickly dismounted the Lynx and immediately took her hand: "Hello, Liao Sha Senior."

"You’re too kind, Little Du Yu." Liao Sha smiled more intensely, examining Du Yu.

That fiery gaze made Du Yu slightly uneasy.

Such perfect Great Xia Language gushed from her red lips, causing Du Yu to feel a little dazed.

There’s no denying that her facial features were extremely Western.

Though she is a mixed race, it’s hard to find traces of Oriental descent on her face.

"Not satisfied with my complexion?" Liao Sha asked with a smile.

"No, not at all." Du Yu shook his head hastily.

The Seven Saints are officially and publicly recognized by Great Xia, Du Yu wouldn’t dare to question them.

Suddenly, Liao Sha raised her hand, pinching Du Yu’s cheek with two fingers, and gently tugged.

Du Yu: ???

Huh? Why the physical interaction?

"Hm?" Liao Sha suddenly leaned forward, her nose just centimeters from Du Yu’s nose.

Du Yu froze, even his breathing stopped!

The woman’s pair of emerald green eyes glowed with a mysterious light.

Beautiful?

The color was indeed pretty.

But green eyes... uh, slightly eerie.

Liao Sha earnestly looked into Du Yu’s eyes, observing for a moment before softly saying, "Seems like you really are a little child."

"Hmm... hmm." Du Yu leaned back slightly.

The Saints he had previously encountered were all mature and dignified, some even cold and indifferent.

Du Yu had never seen such an alluring and passionate person?

By the way, how did this temperament make you a Saint?

"Hehe~" Seeing Du Yu’s unnatural expression, Liao Sha laughed aloud.

"Meow!" The Desolate Silver Lynx was not happy!

My master’s mischief is reserved for me alone, who are you?

"Oh, protective, I see." Liao Sha chuckled, looking at the Desolate Silver Lynx before finally releasing Du Yu’s hand.

The Desolate Silver Lynx crouched low, adopting a hunting posture: "Growl..."

When the woman looked at Du Yu, there was a hint of a smile in her eyes, but when she looked at the Desolate Silver Lynx, there was a full sense of deterrence.

And the Desolate Silver Lynx had already become an Emperor, a natural sovereign that would not bow to any creature.

If it were any other Demon Beast, they would likely cower in fear, trembling under such a gaze.

"Baojun." Du Yu called out, full of restraint.

"Meow." The Desolate Silver Lynx responded quietly, giving up its attack posture.

But those beastly eyes were still filled with hostility, locked onto this peculiar woman.

In the eyes of the Human Race, Liao Sha was undoubtedly alluring and sexy.

But in the eyes of the Desolate Silver Lynx, this woman exuded an inexplicable eeriness.

Whether it was her green eyes or the spots of Demon Breath emanating from her body, something was very off!

Liao Sha smiled at the scene and then began to walk.

"Click, clack, click."

She walked around Du Yu, scrutinizing him up and down: "I’ve heard your story, so many stories."

"And then?" Du Yu turned his head to look at Liao Sha.

"It’s hard to imagine such accomplishments from a little boy." Liao Sha clicked her tongue in admiration, "I thought you might be an old Demon crawling out of some coffin, carefully disguised."

Du Yu: "..."

Was that why you were pinching my cheeks earlier, trying to dispel my disguise?

Du Yu stepped back and said, "Liao Sha, Senior, is there something you need from me?"

"Yes." Liao Sha finally stopped walking, sharp as ever, noticing Du Yu’s state.

Although she wanted to continue teasing this kid, she refrained.

She opened her mouth: "Recently, I’ve been troubled by some issues, so I sought guidance from the Twin Trees."

Du Yu raised an eyebrow slightly, waiting for her to continue.

"The Divine Tree gave me some guidance and recommended you to me." As she spoke, Liao Sha stepped back a few paces, extending a hand to the side.

"Whoosh~"

Along with the surge of Wind-Fire Demon Breath, a gigantic figure suddenly appeared.

It was humanoid and ten meters tall, cloaked in black.

Beneath the hood was a face pieced together from mechanical parts, its gear-like eyes emitting white and red lights.

In its weathered mechanical hand, it held a ten-meter-long metal Magic Staff, akin to a slender torch.

The torch head burned with crimson flame, surrounded by whirlwinds.

Wind-Fire Dual-Element Demon Beast·Intelligent Mechanical Puppet!

"Wow~" Du Yu craned his neck, gazing at this ancient and magical giant.

Liao Sha also raised her head, asking, "Notice anything?"

Du Yu pondered for a moment and said, "I don’t know much about creatures outside the Twin Tree Civilization; please enlighten me, Senior."

Liao Sha gave a thought, and the Intelligent Mechanical Puppet knelt down on one knee, bringing its mechanical head closer.

"Click, clack~click, clack~"

The eyes made of gears kept rotating, emitting a rhythmic sound.

Liao Sha said, "It’s rusting."

Du Yu: "..."

Liao Sha quietly floated up to the front of one gear eye, placing a hand on it.

Her fair fingers were painted with gold and red nail polish, matching her hair color.

In contrast to her exquisite palm, the gear eye of the Intelligent Mechanical Puppet appeared even older.

"Originally, it was bright silver, very beautiful." Liao Sha’s fingertip brushed over the rusty gear.

Even under Du Yu’s gaze, a piece of the dark silver gear chipped off.

This?

Could it be that the life of this Intelligent Mechanical Puppet is coming to an end?

It doesn’t seem so!

Look at the brightness in its eyes and the wind and fire on the staff; they seem quite normal.

Liao Sha spoke softly: "Ever since new Cold Beasts emerged from the Bottomless Abyss, the Intelligent Mechanical Puppet’s body has undergone changes."

"Ah?" Du Yu was dumbfounded.

Liao Sha: "The Divine Tree guesses that perhaps the deepening invasion of Youhan into the world is causing this result."

Du Yu was filled with confusion: "Youhan is only related to the Twin Tree Civilization, what’s the connection with the Magic Mechanical Civilization?"

"Magic Mechanical." Liao Sha rubbed the Intelligent Mechanical Puppet’s gear with a bit of care, "Isn’t that just another form of Celestial Treasure Race creatures in different regions."

Du Yu: !!!

For a moment, his head buzzed.

Is that so?

Don’t you have your own civilization mother, the Magic Furnace?

Liao Sha slowly turned around, looking down at Du Yu: "The Intelligent Mechanical Puppet is very special, almost like a pioneer; it seems to have sensed changes in the world.

All other types of Mechanical Demon Beasts show no changes; only the body of the Intelligent Mechanical Puppet gradually rusts.

And... I can’t stop it."

Du Yu pursed his lips, caught off guard by the news beyond his understanding, unsure of what to do.

"Click, clack~click, clack..."

The gears of the Intelligent Mechanical Puppet continued rotating, sounding almost like a countdown.

Suddenly, the gear stopped turning.

Because Liao Sha sat within the gear eye of the Intelligent Mechanical Puppet: "The Divine Tree told me you went to a world called Ashen Continent."

"Yes." Du Yu nodded.

If others asked, Du Yu wouldn’t normally respond, but the asker was one of the Seven Saints, and was introduced by the Twin Divine Trees, so Du Yu had no reason to hide.

Liao Sha gazed down at Du Yu: "In that world, the new form of Celestial Treasure Race creatures appeared earlier than ours."

Du Yu thought for a moment and nodded again: "Yes."

He first discovered the new Cold Beasts when he escorted the Celestial General home.

And the Demon Taming World saw new Cold Beasts appearing just in the past two months or so.

Liao Sha asked, "Are there mechanical creatures in the Ashen World? Is there a Magic Furnace?"

Du Yu: "I’m not sure.

The Human Race Realm on the Ashen Continent is purely a Twin Tree Civilization; they haven’t developed technology, and information is not readily available.

The companions beside me from the Ashen Continent have always lived under the rule of the Twin Trees, and haven’t seen creatures from other civilizations.

Perhaps, that world has only one civilization, that of the Twin Trees."

Liao Sha nodded thoughtfully: "Hmm..."
