I Have a Destiny Dice
Chapter 93: Earth Mother Scripture
Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Earth Mother Scripture
"An Earth Master observes All Things within the Heaven and Earth’s magnetic field, seeking the Spiritual Transformation Pivot."
"They move mountains, draw down peaks, and issue edicts for Divine Enthronement..."
The document began with an introduction to the Extraordinary profession of an Earth Master.
After reading the entire text, Chen Qi’s first reaction was, ’Isn’t this a bit of an exaggeration?’
Observing the Heaven and Earth’s magnetic field was easy enough to understand. After his Spirit Awakening, Chen Qi could already vaguely sense the presence of the surrounding magnetic fields.
But it was just a faint sensation; he couldn’t see them as clearly as the lines on his own palm.
However, Earth Masters had their own Secret Technique to cultivate the [Spiritual Eye], allowing both eyes to achieve Spirit Communication and directly observe the Heaven and Earth’s magnetic field.
And the prerequisite for cultivating this Secret Technique was to complete one’s Spirit Awakening.
The Secret Technique was recorded in detail in the document. After a brief analysis, Chen Qi understood why its cultivation required a Spirit Awakening.
This was because the essence of this Secret Technique was to use one’s Spirituality to inscribe a certain [Curse] and implant it into one’s eyes.
Over time, under the effect of the [Curse], the Life Magnet Field of the eyeball’s cells would undergo a Metamorphosis.
This was a slow and lengthy process, and it required the implantation of more than just one type of [Curse].
According to the document, the more Curses implanted, the more thorough the transformation of the eyes.
Unfortunately, the document only recorded three types of Curses, which were barely enough to cultivate the [Spiritual Eye Technique] to the first level.
But even so, Chen Qi felt he had gained a great deal.
The methods for inscribing the three Curses weren’t encrypted at all. It was practically a step-by-step guide for beginners, a completely foolproof process.
If the location weren’t so inconvenient, Chen Qi would have been tempted to experiment on the spot.
Chen Qi was even confident he could fully master the [Spiritual Eye Technique] in just a few days.
’A slow transformation?’
As far as Chen Qi was concerned, as long as it didn’t involve cutting into his brain, he could be as reckless as he wanted with his other organs.
It was just like with the [Great Decomposition Saber] before. The reason Chen Qi had looked down on its forging process was because he was sure he could shorten the construction time a hundredfold.
He would rely on his Metal Control skill.
But Chen Qi’s confidence only went so far. When it came to the next part, the "Spiritual Transformation Pivot," he was a bit in the dark.
...
According to the document, the reason Earth Masters observed the Heaven and Earth’s magnetic field was to find a certain special magnetic field within it, which they could then transform into a [Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint].
The greatest function of a Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint was its ability to gather Spiritual Energy.
When Chen Qi read this passage, his heart instantly burned with excitement.
This was exactly what he lacked most right now.
"This Spiritual Transformation Pivot seems to involve the theory of induction among Heaven, Earth, and Man. If that’s the case..."
Chen Qi racked his brain, trying to force an interpretation.
Perhaps because he was thinking too hard, his brain cells began to glitter.
This was because Chen Qi had inadvertently used his Spirituality to stir the Life Magnet Field of his brain cells, pushing them into overdrive.
Fortunately, Chen Qi’s existing knowledge was sufficient. Combined with some of the information from the document, he finally figured out how to create a [Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint].
...
The [Spiritual Transformation Pivot] was a collective term for a specific class of magnetic fields.
A Life Magnet Field, in essence, was simply a Matter Field that had been completely altered by Spirituality.
From this, we can draw a conclusion: Spirituality can influence the Matter Field.
The "Spiritual Transformation Pivot" was also, in essence, a Matter Field altered by Spirituality, just not to the extent of a Life Magnet Field.
It was equivalent to an intermediate state between the two, neither clashing strongly with a Life Magnet Field nor with the surrounding Matter Field.
Therefore, its presence was very faint and difficult to detect.
Of course, this was also related to the fact that it could not exist stably forever.
It was not, after all, a Life Magnet Field, which is bound to a Life Form and constantly influenced by Spirituality.
The existence of a [Spiritual Transformation Pivot] was only temporary; it would eventually be assimilated by the surrounding Matter Field.
As for why they were generated, it was related to the long-term, large-scale activities of intelligent life.
A vast and prolonged Erosion of Spirituality was enough to distort a Matter Field.
This was the main way a Spiritual Transformation Pivot came into being, which was why they usually appeared within the living areas of intelligent life.
But it was not the only way. The activities of certain powerful Life Forms could also produce a similar effect.
...
The reason Earth Masters sought out the [Spiritual Transformation Pivot] was that they valued its special state of existence, which made it more susceptible to the influence of Spirituality.
This created a great deal of potential.
After an Earth Master found a [Lingshu], they would first stabilize it to weaken its assimilation by the surrounding Matter Field.
The next step was Enlightenment.
They called it Enlightenment, but in Chen Qi’s eyes, it was more like false advertising.
In ancient times, an Earth Master would tell the surrounding common folk that "this place" was a Blessed Land of great fortune, and living there would bring favorable weather and keep away all illness.
There might have been other promotional tactics, but in any case, once the people believed it, their Spirituality would inadvertently act upon the "Blessed Land."
The Earth Master would then seize this opportunity, using rituals and Spells to adjust the direction of its change, allowing it to better capture Spiritual Energy.
At this point, it could perhaps be called a Spirit Gathering Array, but what the Earth Masters wanted was far more than that.
They would continue to guide it throughout this Metamorphosis, integrating various Spells to eventually make it evolve into a Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint.
Once it was fully formed, they just needed to sever the influence of those humans on the area.
...
Generally speaking, creating a Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint required at least a hundred years.
Afterward, as long as it was maintained regularly and didn’t suffer large-scale damage, it would continue to exist and even slowly evolve.
As for whether it could evolve into a true Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint, that was uncertain.
Because in the eyes of an Earth Master, a true Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint was a living thing that could move at will.
The so-called successful evolution of a fake Spiritual Acupoint might just be a true Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint deciding the environment was nice and moving its home there.
The ultimate dream of every Earth Master was to find a true Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint,
because only by finding a true Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint could they cultivate their ancestral scripture, the "Earth Mother Scripture", a supreme text that could lead directly to the Holy Sanctuary and even allow one to gaze upon the [Divine-like].
The Earth Master Tao Lineage was definitely among the most preeminent of all the Extraordinary systems.
...
Reading this, Chen Qi felt incredibly wistful, because the "Earth Mother Scripture" was not in the document at all.
There wasn’t even a detailed description of "moving mountains, drawing down peaks, and issuing edicts for Divine Enthronement."
It only mentioned that famous mountains and great rivers could undergo "Spirit Communication and transformation, achieving Divine Communication through Fengshan rites."
And one of the prerequisites for a famous mountain or great river was to possess a true Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint.
...
"It’s a shame. I don’t have a hundred years to spare."
"Still, the knowledge contained within has been a bountiful harvest."
"Truly worthy of an Extraordinary-level legacy."
Although creating a [Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint] was out of the question, Chen Qi was still very satisfied.
This was a complete legacy. Even though it was just a small part, it covered a great many points of knowledge.
For example, things like Extraordinary Metal were something Chen Qi had never heard of before.
Earth Masters would bury large amounts of ordinary metal in a Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint, nurturing it over a long period to induce minute changes in its Matter Field, thereby giving it better Spiritual Energy conductivity.
This class of metals was called Extraordinary Metal.
Chen Qi was struck with inspiration after reading this. Although he didn’t have a Heaven and Earth Spiritual Acupoint, he did have a Source Ore. By using some of these methods, he might be able to forge his own path.
This knowledge was just one of the more common aspects of the Earth Master legacy. What Chen Qi was truly interested in was the part about Spirituality frequency.
That was the very foundation of the Extraordinary.
Unfortunately, this part was recorded too vaguely. It wasn’t an attempt to be deliberately mysterious, but rather seemed to be something very difficult to describe in words.
Chen Qi could only record the entire content for now and verify it after he returned home.
His brain now possessed a photographic memory. He had essentially branded all the information into his mind, leaving only the final document in his hand.
...
"Huh? What the hell is this?"
The moment he opened the last document, Chen Qi was stunned.
Which brilliant soul was so accomplished as to write this document in thirteen different ancient languages?
Was this to mess with illiterates, or just to show off?
Compared to this document, Jomoya’s diary, which only used seven ancient languages, paled in comparison.
But Chen Qi was not the person he used to be. He translated it with a single glance.
It was just that the content of the document was truly rather surprising.
Perhaps this final document was the greatest reward of his entire trip.
...
"I am Cloze Jic. By the time you read this record, I am likely already dead!"
"I was originally an ordinary official who, by the grace of His Majesty the King, received the Xiaowang Card."
"For twenty years, I have diligently governed the country, maintaining the stability of the Lanyu Kingdom."
"But no one ever told me that I was fated to die in this round of the game, not until I met the Game Monarch."
"He told me a way to survive: if I completed the evolution of the [Xiaowang] Card, I could construct an Apostle Armament."
"I was hesitant, because I knew very well the role the [Xiaowang] Card played in the entire King’s Game."
"Once it evolves into a combat Card, not only will the long-term operation of the game be jeopardized, but all non-combat Cards in the game will also disappear completely."
"The game would thereby be completely transformed, becoming a true combat-type game."
"This is an event of absolute significance. Although I don’t know what the Game Monarch is plotting, my Card must be very important to his plans."
"After much hesitation, I still decided to live out my life peacefully. After all, I love the Lanyu Kingdom deeply."
"Unfortunately, fate is often beyond one’s control. I had originally planned to tell Gutaf about the Game Monarch’s plot, but I ended up discovering a horrifying truth."
"He was already dead!"
Writing up to this point, Cloze Jic seemed unable to hide his shock, his handwriting trembling.
...
"The King is dead?"
Chen Qi’s eyes widened. What an earth-shattering revelation.
If this were to leak, all the small surrounding kingdoms would probably erupt in nationwide celebration.
"Impossible!"
"If Gutaf were dead, the King’s Game would have ended long ago."
Chen Qi instantly realized the problem, but he believed the Prime Minister was not one to spread rumors.
"How should we define life and death for a human?"
"Before I discovered that Gutaf was covered in livor mortis and his Life Magnet Field had vanished, I never thought this was a question worth pondering."
"However, after witnessing a walking corpse that could still move freely and communicate with me normally, I became confused."
"I am certain that Gutaf’s physical body is dead, yet this game still considers the King to be alive."
"So who is the current [King]? Gutaf’s ghost?"
"Because I discovered this truth, I abandoned my original plan. After I left, I thought about it over and over, and ultimately concluded that my judgment was correct—Gutaf was indeed physically dead."
"It makes sense when you think about it. Gutaf is 111 years old, incredibly close to the limit of a human lifespan. Physical death is only natural."
"Given that new friends might see this record, I feel it’s necessary to write down everything I know about Gutaf, including but not limited to the abilities of the [King] Card and my speculations about the game’s origin."
Seeing this, Chen Qi really wanted to give him a big thumbs-up. The Prime Minister was truly a good man.
Diaries should be written openly and honestly.
One should never learn from Jomoya Chris!
