Chapter 452: 452:Misdion one accomplished.

Insight responded.

[Beast: Armored Rift Boar]

[Tier: 3]

[Primary Traits: Reinforced Hide, Charging Impact, Accelerated Recovery]

[Weaknesses: Eye Sockets, Inner Joints, Unarmored Lower Neck]

Silver immediately called out the information.

"Tier Three Armored Rift Boar. Its hide is reinforced, so don’t waste ammunition shooting the plates. Eyes, joints and lower neck are vulnerable."

Helena nodded. "Caleb, front with me. Rowan, support the right. Silver, Elias, target its exposed areas. Mina, watch the other signatures."

The boar charged.

Helena planted her shield and a translucent barrier appearedseveral meters ahead of her.

The beast struck it, the impact echoing through the courtyard. Helena’s boots scraped backward. Her barrier held, but the strain was obvious.

"That’s heavier than I expected!" She shouted.

Caleb moved, running directly towards the boar. Stone Skin spreading across his forearms and shoulders as he swung his hammer into the boar’s exposed side. The strike cracked one of its armor plates, but the beast barely shifted.

It turned toward him, completely fuming.

Silver fired twice.

One bullet struck the creature’s eye and the other entered the exposed tissue beneath its jaw.

The boar roared in pain.

Caleb stepped backward as it thrashed.

Silver activated Short-Step.

[Short-Step Lv3 Activated.]

He vanished from beside the abandoned vehicle and reappeared several meters to the left, placing himself at an angle where the boar’s lower neck was exposed.

His handgun rose; two more shots were released into the beast. The beast staggered from both the moment and the pain.

Rowan rushed forward and drove his reinforced axe into the damaged section of its neck. Caleb followed with another hammer strike.

The boar collapsed.

Helena immediately lowered her barrier.

"Status?"

"Fine," Caleb answered.

"Fine," Rowan said.

Silver checked his ammunition. "Four rounds used."

Mina suddenly raised her head.

"More incoming!"

The remaining beasts emerged from the parking ramp.

Four Tier Two creatures resembling oversized hairless wolves rushed into the courtyard, followed by another Tier Three boar that was slightly smaller than the first.

Helena didn’t hesitate.

"Defensive formation. Don’t chase them!"

Silver stepped backward toward the squad as the first wolf lunged at Elias. A small translucent plane appeared between them.

[Spatial Distortion & Barriers Lv2 Activated.]

The beast struck the angled surface: instead of stopping completely, its body was redirected sideways, causing it to collide with the concrete wall beside Elias. The archer immediately put an arrow through its skull.

Silver smiled faintly.

That was exactly why Lv2 was so useful. He hadn’t needed a large barrier, he’d only needed to change the direction of an attack.

Mina intercepted another wolf, her blades vibrating as she struck its foreleg and then its throat. Rowan handled the third while Caleb smashed the fourth into the ground.

The second boar charged directly toward Silver. Helena began raising another barrier but he lifted his free hand.

"Leave this one."

He holstered his handgun.

The boar accelerated.

Caleb shouted, "Silver!"

Silver stepped forward, primal Strength surginh through his body.

[Primal Strength Lv3 Activated.]

[Iron Bones Lv3 Activated.]

The boar struck him, or rather, it attempted to.

Silver caught one tusk with his left hand while driving his right forearm against the creature’s lower jaw. The force travelled through his shoulders and down his legs, cracking the pavement beneath his shoes.

His muscles tightened.

For a moment the beast continued pushing, then he twisted sideways. Its momentum also shifted sideways. The enormous boar lost its balance and crashed against an abandoned vehicle, rocking it violently.

Caleb stared in complete shock.

"What the hell?"

Silver stepped forward and drove his fist into the creature’s exposed neck. The impact produced a deep cracking sound and the boar collapsed.

Silence followed.

Silver flexed his fingers.

His arm tingled slightly, but nothing was injured since iron Bones had absorbed much of the impact.

Helena stared at him.

"I keep forgetting you have a strength integration."

He looked toward her. "Most people do."

Caleb lowered his hammer.

"Why do you even carry a gun?"

"Because shooting things is easier than wrestling with them."

Rowan looked at the boar.

"That didn’t look particularly difficult."

Silver smiled. "You should try it next time."

Rowan immediately shook his head.

Helena sighed. "Everyone stop talking. We have a mission."

Silver nodded but he was smiling as they moved. He could already imagine Ravenna’s reaction if she’d seen that. She would probably challenge him to another strength contest, then lose.

Then challenge him to swordsmanship... And win.

He wondered whether she was doing well. Somewhere else in the training sector, she was facing her own problems. He trusted her to handle them.

At forty-seven minutes, they found the first missing personnel. He was inside a partially collapsed medical clinic.

The man wore a military logistics uniform and lay beneath a reinforced desk, one leg trapped beneath a fallen cabinet. Blood covered his trousers, and a medical patch on his shoulder flashed yellow.

Silver detected him before anyone entered the building.

"One human signature inside. Breathing. Limited movement."

Helena raised her shield. "Any beasts?"

"Two Tier Two signatures on the second floor. They’re moving away from us."

"Then we don’t disturb them."

They entered through a side door.

Mina checked the floor, Rowan reinforced the damaged support beside the cabinet, Caleb lifted the fallen furniture and Silver helped pull the injured man free.

The moment they touched him, his identification tag activated.

[MISSION OBJECTIVE UPDATE]

[MISSING PERSONNEL LOCATED: 1/3]

[CONDITION: SEVERE LEG INJURY]

[MEDICAL STABILIZATION REQUIRED]

Helena immediately knelt beside him.

"Medical kit."

Rowan passed one over.

Silver crouched on the other side. The simulated wound looked disturbingly realistic. There was blood, swelling, and a compound fracture.

The academy had apparently invested considerable resources into making the assessment unpleasant.

Silver checked the man’s breathing and responsiveness while Helena prepared the splint.

Something about the scene tugged at his memory.

Earth.

He had been in a cramped room with someone bleeding, his old uniform soaking with sweat. A teammate was telling him to keep pressure on a wound while another soldier called for evacuation.

Silver blinked.

The memory disappeared.

His hands continued working.

"Helena, keep the leg aligned. Rowan, hold the splint while I secure it."

Helena glanced toward him, then nodded.

They worked quickly.

Mina remained near the door, Elias covered the windows and Caleb watched the corridor.

Within several minutes, the injury status changed.

[MEDICAL STABILIZATION SUCCESSFUL.]

[PERSONNEL CONDITION: STABLE]

Helena exhaled.

"Good."

The injured man opened his eyes.

"Case..."

Silver looked toward him.

"What case?"

"Transport case."

Helena leaned closer.

"Where is it?"

The man coughed.

"Separated... loading station... east..." His voice weakened. "Two others..."

Then his eyes closed.

A notification appeared.

[ADDITIONAL INTELLIGENCE ACQUIRED.]

[LAST KNOWN CASE LOCATION: EASTERN LOADING STATION.]

[REMAINING PERSONNEL: 2]
