Chapter 453: Birth of a New Race

It was also like returning to the time when he had been a fetus, gently protected within his mother’s womb.

Every part of his body, inside and out, was filled with warmth. Every drop of blood, every inch of flesh, and even his bones and marrow were enveloped by this warmth.

Xiao Shou had never experienced such comfort before.

His consciousness vaguely wondered if he had crossed worlds again this time or perhaps he had transmigrated and reincarnated into a fetus still inside its mother’s womb...

Wait!

Transmigration, reincarnation, fetus...

Could it be that he had not truly died and had instead continued living in another form?

This thought startled Xiao Shou awake.

He suddenly opened his eyes.

At least, he felt as though he had opened his eyes.

Because he could "see" three celestial bodies radiating purple light, appearing with astonishing clarity within his "vision." They seemed so close that he felt as though he could reach out and touch them.

This immediately made him realize that he was still in the Demon Abyss Realm.

Had he died?

Or had he been reincarnated into the body of some member of the Demon Abyss Clan?

The questions filling his mind made him immediately turn his perception toward his surroundings.

What he discovered shocked him.

Only then did Xiao Shou realize that what he had thought was sight was actually a 365-degree perception with no blind spots.

Through this perception, he discovered that he was still using his familiar body.

However, for some unknown reason, his hair and eyes were now faintly tinged with purple amid their original black color.

His skin had also become even paler, carrying a slightly sickly pallor...

Xiao Shou now lay silently with his lifeless eyes open, embedded within the trunk of an enormous purple tree.

He had no idea how tall it was or how vast an area it occupied, but simply sensing it gave him the impression that it was unimaginably huge.

Even more strangely, hanging from the thickest branch of this gigantic purple tree was a rather large purple fruit.

The other branches bore twelve pale purple fruits, each several times smaller than the largest one.

Below these fruits, after passing the impossibly tall and thick trunk, were countless incredibly sturdy purple-red roots.

Surrounding those roots was a densely packed mass of demon soldiers and Demon Generals whose numbers were impossible to determine.

These demon soldiers and Demon Generals had originally possessed eyes even more bloodthirsty, cruel, and savage than wild beasts.

Yet at this moment, their eyes were filled with fear as they stared at the enormous purple tree.

Wait!

A giant tree?

At this moment, Xiao Shou suddenly realized that if the bodies of the Demon Abyss Clan members had not changed in size, then based on the comparison of these Demon Abyss Clan members standing beneath the roots and appearing as tiny as ants, this tree seemed to be at least tens of thousands of meters tall.

The area occupied by its roots seemed to span nearly a hundred thousand meters...

How could this be?

How could there be such an enormous tree?

And how had he ended up inside the trunk of such a gigantic tree?

Countless questions made Xiao Shou begin recalling what had happened before he regained consciousness.

Blades and axes piercing his body.

A death more brutal than being pierced through the heart by countless arrows.

His internal organs completely eroded by demonic aura.

His blood flowing across the surrounding earth.

His decision to use his absolute fusion ability for one final act of revenge.

The golden light of his supernatural ability spreading across the heavens after he released it, enveloping not only the demons but himself as well...

Could the situation before him have been caused by his absolute fusion ability?

This enormous purple tree, the fruits growing upon it, his current strange state, and the subtle changes to his body...

Could all of this have been caused by his absolute fusion ability?

Xiao Shou found it unbelievable.

Then another thought suddenly occurred to him.

If this really was a product of his absolute fusion ability, then he should be able to know what this tree was.

What exactly were these fruits?

Perhaps understanding them would help him find a way to return to his own body...

Yes.

By this point, Xiao Shou had already realized that he seemed to be this tree, and this tree seemed to be him.

There was some kind of strange connection between him and the tree.

Xiao Shou tried imagining himself touching the tree and learning its information.

Instantly, a stream of information flowed into his consciousness.

Although Xiao Shou had already had his suspicions, when those suspicions were further confirmed, he felt as though his mind had been shaken until it buzzed.

So his absolute fusion ability had never been a fusion ability at all.
