I Fuse All Things and Become the Strongest Cultivator
Chapter 372: The Grand Competition Rules
When Tushan Qing heard this, he nodded casually. "Mm. Don’t provoke him. The aura he reveals after using his divine ability can even make me feel fear. His Spirit Transformation stage cultivation doesn’t represent his true strength. It’s better to be cautious, Eternal Loser."
"You bastard, are you deliberately provoking me?" Tushan Shanhe’s face darkened even further. Completely disregarding the dignity expected of someone with Celestial Fox blood, he rolled up his sleeves and looked ready to fight. "Come over here and settle this with me!"
Tushan Qing casually glanced at him and a strange light flashed through his eyes. "Are you challenging me? Do you really want to add another defeat to your consecutive losses record?"
"Hmph! So what if I’m challenging you? Who’s to say who will win this time?" Tushan Shanhe was about to make his move.
But just as he finished speaking, Tushan Qing suddenly frowned slightly. Ignoring Tushan Shanhe’s eagerness to fight, he supported his chin and sighed. "Ah, my precious baby. Trouble has come again. I wonder how you’ll handle it. I’m quite interested to see."
"Tushan Qing, what are you talking about?" Tushan Shanhe frowned. Seeing that irritating expression on Tushan Qing’s face made him want to punch him even more.
Tushan Qing gave Tushan Shanhe a deeply regretful look and shook his head. "You’re simply too slow to notice things."
"Slow? You actually called me, Tushan Shanhe, slow? Is there anyone more perceptive than me? Tushan Qing, let me tell you, my perception is among the best. Back then... Eh? Something’s wrong. Why is there such a strange smell over there? I’ll go take a look." As he spoke, Tushan Shanhe’s expression suddenly changed. He immediately used the Great Teleportation Technique and disappeared.
Tushan Qing whose being left behind wore an expression that suggested everything had gone exactly as expected. "That’s what I mean by being too slow. Now then, my precious baby. How do you plan to handle what comes next?"
...
Heaven Origin Grand Competition Venue.
After hearing what happened, Lu Wuchen, the Sect Masters of the other sects, the leaders of various forces, family heads, and the other major figures all became serious.
They immediately put on warm and friendly smiles. One after another, they enthusiastically invited Xiao Shou to take his seat. Unlike the deserted and neglected atmosphere Xiao Shou had experienced when he first arrived, everyone now eagerly greeted him.
Many of them even said that once the Grand Competition ended, they would personally visit him. They enthusiastically expressed their hopes of establishing friendly relations and future cooperation with Xiao Shou and the Eternal Prosperity Sect.
Xiao Shou was left both amused and speechless. Is this some kind of United Nations conference? Why does everyone sound like they’re giving speeches at a diplomatic meeting? The group of old foxes eventually ushered Xiao Shou into the second seat on the Nine Dragons Platform.
Fu Young respectfully stood behind him. After Xiao Shou took his seat, the other disciples of the Eternal Prosperity Sect who had remained below were also invited by the organizers’ stewards to take their seats.
Of course, disciples such as An Yu, who were only at the Foundation Building and Golden Core stages, were not given seats on the main platform.
Once everyone had taken their seats and the venue had fallen silent again, Lu Wuchen’s chief disciple stepped forward. Using his cultivation technique to amplify his voice, he read through the rules of the Grand Competition, allowing everyone present to understand the details.
After listening, Xiao Shou realized that the rules were still the same as those in the original storyline. All disciples who had obtained a competition slot had to participate according to their current cultivation realm.
The Foundation Building, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, and Spirit Transformation stages would each have their own competition platform, with all four stages beginning simultaneously.
The competitors would fight from the lowest stage to the highest, battling for their rankings and the elders that was appointed by the Sect Masters of the Nine Great Sects would serve as judges.
The first round is according to the rules, once the Grand Competition began, all qualified disciples had to gather at the competition platform corresponding to their cultivation realm.
A massive battle would then begin and any participant knocked off the platform would be eliminated. Killing another participant would also result in disqualification. Aside from these restrictions, participants could use any methods they wished.
The battle would continue until only one hundred participants remained at each of the Foundation Building, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, and Spirit Transformation platforms.
The second round would be all disciples who qualified from the previous round would draw their own numbered tokens. Each cultivation realm would have one hundred numbered tokens.
The elder overseeing each competition platform would randomly pair the one hundred participants according to their cultivation realm.
The randomly matched opponents would then take the stage and engage in spell based combat. Each of the four competition platforms would ultimately produce fifty winners.
The third Round would be the fifty winners from each of the four platforms would once again be randomly paired. The matched opponents would take the stage and engage in close combat. Each cultivation realm would ultimately produce twenty five winners.
The fourth Round would be the twenty five winners remaining in each cultivation realm would once again be randomly paired. They would fight one on one until the top ten participants were determined.
The fifth round was the championship battle, which determined the final rankings. The ten winners from each of the four competition platforms would compete against one another.
They could use spells, martial techniques, Dao techniques, and any other means at their disposal to achieve victory. The battles would continue until the final winner was determined.
Normally, one round of the competition would be held every three days, with the entire Grand Competition lasting around fifteen days.
The eighteenth day would be the day when the rewards were distributed and the Grand Competition officially concluded. This had always been the case in previous years.
