Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Loki Actually Wants to Be a Peacemaker?

The golden sunlight shone into the room. The little female’s porcelain-white skin glowed, and her beautiful eyes carried a solemn, resolute gaze.

"Father, I want to give it a try."

After a long while, Leon finally said slowly, "Then go do what you want to do. The Golden Dragon Clan will always be your home."

Ophelia’s eyes grew hot, her voice choking with emotion. "Thank you, Father."

Laxus sighed. "Alright. Since Father has agreed, what reason do I have to stop you?

"Sister, if you ever need anything in the future, just come to me. Whether it’s manpower or food, I have it covered."

Seeing her family so supportive of her, Ophelia became even more determined to achieve her goal.

"Actually, brother, I do need your help with something right now.

"In a few days, we’ll need to build stone houses in the tribe’s residential area. I only have about twenty males on my side. Could you find a few Golden Dragon Clan members to help build the houses? Of course, I won’t let them work for free; I will pay them."

Ten little females meant building ten stone houses. Relying solely on the two or three males in each household, it would take forever before they could move in. Therefore, the most reliable option was to find outside help!

Laxus was naturally willing, but then he suddenly remembered something. "I can, but the rainy season has just passed, and our clan members have no food at home. They probably can’t spare many people to help you build stone houses."

"I see..." Ophelia pondered. This was indeed a problem.

"Then let the elderly males in the tribe who can no longer hunt come help me build the houses. I will provide three meals a day."

The elderly males had lost their ability to hunt. Although the tribe distributed a set amount of prey to them every day, it was nowhere near enough to fill their stomachs. It was merely enough to keep them from starving to death.

But Ophelia wasn’t worried. Even though she didn’t have any prey on hand, she had enough grain to keep them full. Later, once she set up the breeding farm in her spatial dimension, she wouldn’t have to worry about a lack of meat, either.

"Alright, I’ll go tell them in a bit," Laxus nodded. The miserable later years of the elderly males were a true reflection of their own futures, so it was always good to help out whenever possible.

"Okay, thank you, brother," Ophelia thanked him sweetly.

"Oh, right. What are you planning to name the new tribe?" Laxus asked curiously.

Ophelia hadn’t actually thought about this. After a moment of contemplation, she replied, "It will be called the Fu Clan." She thought, "Fu means blessings, but it also sounds like prosperity. In the future, my tribe will definitely become prosperous."

"The Fu Clan? Meaning everyone will be blessed?"

"Yes. What do you think, Tyler?"

Tyler smiled. "It’s wonderful. It sounds very blessed."

After exchanging a few more words, Ophelia took Tyler to her own territory. She needed to inspect it personally to determine the future direction of her planting.

The Fu Clan territory was very close to the Golden Dragon Clan, so it only took the two of them half an hour to arrive. The condition of the land was roughly the same as what was drawn on the Sheepskin Scroll. It was all flat, sandy earth without any rocky patches, making it perfect for planting. There were water sources all around the territory, making irrigation convenient. However, to prevent wild beasts from destroying the rice fields, she would have to plant some trees or build fences around them later.

Ophelia pulled Tyler along, describing her plans for the future as they walked. They soon arrived at a forest. The vegetation was lush, featuring towering pine trees. She even spotted two squirrels fighting over a pinecone.

"The environment in this forest is so nice. We must preserve it well."

The empty land in her territory was vast. She had no intention of clearing the forest to expand her planting area; doing so would only be bringing about her own ruin.

Just then, a flurry of chaotic footsteps rang out. She looked up and saw several dark figures chasing a wild deer.

"It’s the people from the Snow Wolf Clan." The moment Tyler identified their scent, he immediately shielded Ophelia behind him.

PATTER PATTER PATTER.

A wild deer dashed frantically past Ophelia and Tyler. The creature was alarmingly thin. Natural disasters were merciless. Even the animals in the forest faced near-certain death, and those that managed to survive were nothing but skin and bones. She felt a pang of heartache, but she couldn’t change reality right now.

As Ophelia was lamenting in her heart, a rapid PATTER PATTER PATTER sounded again. She looked up and saw a gray fox, about two meters long, charging directly toward them. From its sheer size alone, it was obvious that this was not a wild beast, but a Beastman.

The gray fox seemed blinded by bloodlust. Failing to recognize Ophelia, it treated them as prey as well. She thought the other party would stop in his tracks upon realizing she was a female, but that was not the case. The gray fox leaped forcefully, pouncing straight at Ophelia. Its sharp canines were fully exposed, its killing intent entirely unconcealed. Ophelia had no doubt that in the very next second, this Beastman could bite right through her throat.

Tyler’s gaze was as cold as frost. He stared fiercely at the lunging gray fox. His long, powerful leg kicked out swiftly and ruthlessly, landing a direct blow to the gray fox’s flank. The beast rolled a few times on the ground before scrambling up wretchedly. Its body crouched low, and a deep growl rumbled from its throat as if posturing for a fight.

"Does he know us?" Ophelia guessed.

Tyler’s nose twitched. "It’s Galen, Miche’s brother," he said coldly.

She thought, "It’s actually him? So it is him." Because of his relationship with Miche, Galen had moved into the Snow Wolf Clan early on and hunted together with the Snow Wolf Clan males.

The gray fox tried to launch another attack, but the moment it leaped up, it was firmly pinned to the ground by Tyler’s beastified dragon claw.

"Are you looking for death?" Tyler was now absolutely certain that Galen wanted to kill the Princess.

RUSTLE RUSTLE.

A group’s footsteps approached from a distance. Seeing this, the gray fox struggled, kicking its hind legs against Tyler’s arm. Tyler withdrew his hand, his beastified arm reverting to its human form.

"Why is it you? What are you doing here?"

Ophelia’s vision darkened in annoyance. She thought, "Why do I have to run into this scumbag everywhere I go? Does a damn ex have to be dead to stop bouncing around in front of me?"

Seeing Ophelia here, Loki also felt extremely surprised.

Taking the opportunity, the gray fox transformed into its human form, revealing his gloomy, twisted face. Galen rubbed his neck, his eyes filled with anger. "Tyler, what is the meaning of this?"

"What’s wrong? What happened?"

"Loki, Tyler just tried to kill me. If you guys hadn’t rushed over, I’m afraid I’d already be dead."

Ophelia would gladly dub him the number one person in the Beast World when it came to spouting blatant lies and twisting the truth.

Tyler didn’t answer. He continued to shield Ophelia with his body, shooting a glacial glare at Galen. "Care to repeat that?"

"Did I say something wrong? I was just hunting a wild deer. You can’t deal a lethal blow to me just because you set your eyes on the same deer," Galen said aggressively, acting completely self-righteous.

"Was it me attacking you, or was it you trying to harm the Princess?" Tyler narrowed his eyes. "If you have a problem with it, we can duel."

Galen’s momentum instantly weakened. He was merely a Fox Beast. He couldn’t even defeat a Wolf Beast, let alone a Dragon Beast.

"Alright. Galen definitely didn’t do it on purpose. He was just too anxious while chasing the prey.

"How about this? I will offer one piece of prey as compensation, and we’ll let this matter drop."
