Chapter 76: Chapter 76: He Wants to See How the Little Female Acts as Clan Leader

A young female dressed in pure white crouched on the ground, gazing tenderly at the little female cub in front of her. Her watery eyes brimmed with heartache.

"Amy, you’ve suffered. Are you not doing well in the Golden Dragon Clan?"

Amy shook her head. "Grandma Rebecca and the others treat me very well."

Miche rubbed her little head and smiled. "Silly child, they only treat you well to put on a show for the clansmen. Otherwise, how could they secure the Clan Leader position?"

"Is that so?" Four-year-old Amy was a little confused.

Regardless, swayed by Miche and Loki’s sweet-talking, Amy chose to forgive them.

To establish a tribe, one had to go to Ten Thousand Beasts City and submit an application to the City Lord. Once approved, they would be allocated a piece of territory and a Clan Leader Token. Thus, on a sunny and breezy morning, Ophelia and Tyler arrived at Ten Thousand Beasts City.

The City Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts City was a white lion male named Moye.

Upon entering Ten Thousand Beasts City, Ophelia realized that it was built much better than the tribes. The houses in the city were built on both sides of the street. The dwellings were meticulously designed with actual windows; every home had doors and windows, making it look very similar to an ancient human city. The ground in Ten Thousand Beasts City wasn’t made of packed yellow mud, but neatly paved green stone slabs without a single weed in sight. There were small stalls on both sides of the street selling rare items, and furthermore, all transactions were made exclusively with Crystal Stones.

However, Ophelia was in no mood to dwell on these details. The most important thing right now was to sort out her tribe.

Ophelia knocked on the gates of the City Lord Mansion, bringing along some fruit as a gift. The main hall of the City Lord Mansion was quite grand, and its furnishings were already well-developed. The tables, chairs, and benches were nearly identical to ancient human furniture, even featuring horseshoe-back armchairs. A cast-iron lion crest the size of a washbasin hung on the main wall of the hall, while tiger pelts and the fangs of fierce beasts decorated the side walls.

City Lord Mo Ye was a potbellied, middle-aged male. However, he had an amiable face and carried a smile whenever he spoke or acted.

"Do you two guests have some important business here?"

"City Lord, my name is Ophelia, and this is my mate, Tyler. We came today because we want to establish a tribe." Ophelia struck the perfect balance with her attitude—neither disrespectful nor servile.

Moye picked up a Golden Pear and sniffed it near his nose. Hearing Ophelia’s words, he was a bit surprised.

He cast an astonished look at Ophelia and said, "You two are so young, yet you want to establish a tribe? Are you going to be the Clan Leader?" He then looked questioningly at the male beside her, who hadn’t spoken a word since entering.

"Not him, me," Ophelia replied, causing the City Lord’s eyes to light up with intrigue.

"There has never been a precedent of a little female becoming a Clan Leader on the Starfall Continent. I’m afraid this might be a bit difficult."

Ophelia curled her lips into a smile. "You said yourself that it’s only a bit difficult, not impossible.

"I already have thirty clansmen, which should meet the requirements for establishing a tribe. City Lord Mo Ye, you don’t need to worry. Since I am here, it means I am fully prepared."

She hadn’t just come in blindly. She had already investigated beforehand; the requirement to establish a tribe was one hundred head of prey and one Crystal Stone of red grade or higher.

Seeing Ophelia’s confident demeanor, Moye didn’t try to dissuade her any further. "There are two conditions to establish a tribe. First, you must hand over one hundred head of prey to Ten Thousand Beasts City every year. Second, you must provide one Orange Crystal Stone every year."

Just as she had expected. Ophelia wore a smile on her face. "Thank you, City Lord Mo Ye. I will prepare the items and return to the City Lord Mansion."

"Alright. I hope that the next time we meet, I will be able to address you as Clan Leader Ophelia."

After the two of them left, the main hall quieted down. Moye looked nervously toward a small door in the hall. A moment later, a young male with long blue hair walked out from the adjacent room.

"Mr. Zerev," Moye immediately gave up the armchair and stood respectfully with a bow.

The male called Zerev slowly sat down, resting one hand on the armchair. His long, bamboo-like fingers gently tapped the armrest. Moye had no idea what his master was thinking, so he could only slow his breathing to lower his presence.

After a long while, a playful smile appeared on Zerev’s face. "Interesting. Truly interesting. A little female actually having the audacity to establish a tribe and wanting to be the Clan Leader, it’s simply..."

Wishful thinking.

Moye carefully observed his master’s expression and asked tentatively, "If you don’t agree, Mr. Zerev, I can just find a random excuse to reject her next time."

Establishing a tribe wasn’t that easy to begin with. If he hadn’t seen that this little female knew how to conduct herself, he wouldn’t have relented so easily. Moye looked at the Golden Pears on the table with some pity. Although such good fruits were rare, who asked the other party to upset his master? He could only steel his heart and return the fruits next time.

Zerev didn’t reply immediately. He picked up a Golden Pear and took a bite. The clear, sweet juice flooded his mouth. The sweetness was refreshing to the heart and mind, yet not cloying.

"The fruit is not bad."

Moye was thoroughly confused, not understanding his master’s meaning.

"Since she wants to do it, let her try. I’m actually curious to see how a little female manages a tribe." He wondered if she would make a complete mess of things, leading to her clan being wiped out in a matter of days.

"I understand, Mr. Zerev."

Zerev took out a piece of animal skin cloth to wipe his hands, stood up, and patted Moye’s shoulder. "Don’t be nervous. You are the City Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts City. My opinion isn’t that important."

After saying that, he stepped out of the hall.

Moye wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. His master sure knew how to joke. The Crown Prince of the Dragon Clan, the future ruler of the Starfall Continent—would he dare not to listen to his opinion? If he didn’t listen, Ten Thousand Beasts City would probably cease to exist tomorrow.

Outside Ten Thousand Beasts City, Tyler held Ophelia’s hand as they walked slowly forward.

Ophelia was currently thinking about what excuse to use to bring out the one hundred head of prey stored in her spatial warehouse. The rainy season had just passed, so it was impossible for anyone to have that much prey on hand. Furthermore, Tyler spent day and night with her, so he knew her situation best. Plus, with the heavy rains, the secret cave had definitely been flooded, so using the cave as an excuse wouldn’t work anymore.

The only solution right now was to tell Tyler the secret of her farming space. But this was her biggest secret, making Ophelia a bit hesitant. However, thinking of everything Tyler had sacrificed for her in her previous life, she decided to tell him about the farming space.

Just as she was about to speak, her hand was gently squeezed. ℴ

She turned her head to look at Tyler beside her.

"Princess, don’t worry. I will figure out a way to gather the one hundred head of prey as soon as possible," he said. Although the rainy season had just passed and hunting would be difficult, he would do his utmost to satisfy the Princess as long as it was what she wanted. This was the very meaning of his existence by her side.

"As long as it’s something you want, Princess, I will definitely help you achieve it." He was willing to do it even if it cost him his life!

"Princess, I’ll escort you back to the Golden Dragon Clan, and then I’ll go hunting," Tyler continued. "I’ll carry you; we’ll travel faster that way."

Saying that, he scooped her up into his arms.
